WOW, jawsdropping gorgeous, I absolutely love it!
Your decision makes sense and I do enjoy the speed sculpting too mainly as I do not work with fimo but do enjoy watching how you make it :)
yes, it makes sense that people on youtube seek entertainment rather than extensive classes :)
Cool and amazing
J

C'est magnifique, tellement de précision! C'est incroyable ce que tu peux faire avec des simple morceaux de pâtes, c'est hallucinant!
lindoooo demais ❤👏👏👏👏
obrigada ^^
Wow I love this so much, I am planning a sensory table in my classroom that will be like the ocean floor, I'm using salt dough but I will definitely show them this because your coral is so inspiring.
I love this it’s so amazing You could put a clownfish to it They’re colorful also
nice work
i love yuor art
*your
thanks ^^
You are lovely! I love your work and explanations and the drive you have to just make artwork. Before you, I didn't actually think of polymer clay as a medium for "big" artwork. You inspire me to try and create my own sculptural "paintings". Also, love the ideas with the jars! I have so so many jars that I try to reuse or recycle and don't know what to do with them, so this gave me a few ideas :D .
There are a few artists who use it in bigger artworks, they just don't say it specifically as you often end up mixing various medias.
Glad I can be an inspiration :)
@Stephanie Kilgast you and ryno arts are amazing
This is really amazing. I enjoy filming for RUclips but it is a lot of work for very little money. xx
I think that's perfectly fine if you love doing videos!
I love doing art and I've spend countless of hours doing artworks that will never sell, I don't mind that one bit. But when you try to earn money with a particular venue and it isn't working, than it's mostly frustrating.
Congratulations!!! Happy you achieved some of your goals as an artist. Loved this video.
Absolutely beautiful
These reef corals are gorgeous
I enjoy your speed sculpting. I don't expect your knowledge for free. I just appreciate your skill and beautiful art.
:)
I think this is a really great compromise between getting your skills known and shown on RUclips and actually making money. By watching these shorter speedpaint videos, it lets people know if they would like to investigate further. And of course, people would love to see what you have been making.
yes, that's the idea, so far it seems to work not too badly :)
Good for you. You have given so much away, it is time to earn a living. Thank you for all your videos.
thank you!
Madre mía!!!!!. Es precioso!!!!!!. Me encanta el mar. Es usted una artista!!!!!
Es impresionante cuanta creatividad tienes. Mil felicidades
I always love all the detail you add!
always think about yourself before others so don't feel bad at all for taking that little bit away from RUclips!
thank you :)
Stephanie - you are my artist/sculptor BAE!
Will you ever do a dog sculpture? I would pee my pants if I ever saw that you'd uploaded a chihuahua sculpture - but with a meaningful twist like your pieces usually (always?) have.. I've been sketching out ideas for the same but I'm not yet anywhere near your level of skill.
I straight up love your stuff and message. Please never stop! (And PLEASE make that chihuahua!)
hey there!
I don't think I'll ever do a dog sculpture, sorry about that.
And go ahead and keep on working and sketching, skills are mostly learned through repetition :)
I love this! All the best with exhibiting and selling your art. :) 🐙
thank you!
Great video! What surface do you use to work your clay on?
just ceramic tiles
hey, love your work what type of polymer clay do you use!
here it was fimo and vernit
another awesome video Stephanie! glad to see you plan to do more speed sculpts for the youtube channel. sadly i'm unable to get the premium version of skillshare right now, but i'll definitely share your classes with my friends who do! also, don't feel guilty about taking time to pursue your personal goals/life, while we all love seeing your videos/artwork, it's more important that you have fun and are able to make a living. i mean, if you couldn't make a living, we still wouldn't be getting these videos in the end ;)
haha, true :D and I really need to kickstart this art career because I've been living on mostly savings for the last months. But I'm getting there!
And thanks!

It's a finger sponge :)
Anybody know the name of the red one featured near the beginning?

You inspired me. Thank you!! I created my own one. #oceanfairyhousewithbluecorals
J'adore mais est tu française ?
oui
Did you know nearly 30% of the Great Barrier Reef died in 2016 alone? 30%! That's an alarming number, at an alarming rate. Due to global warming, our ocean temperatures are also rising; which means bad things for coral, and thus our entire ecosystem. I highly encourage anyone who cares about the ocean, the environment, or both to watch the documentary Chasing Coral on Netflix. It will change your life.
Yes and no. I know it's disastrous, but I don't know hard facts. A friend actually recommended that very same documentary just yesterday, so will watch it in the coming days. Thanks for the info!
The artwork I did is about dying corals (they loose their colors when they die) and I was inspired by Courtney Mattisson's artwork.
Stephanie Kilgast // PetitPlat This was meant as a general you to the public, not you specifically. The losing of their color is called bleaching, and mass bleaching is a phenomenon seen since the 80s; only the mass bleaching is increasing in its occurrence over time, and the more rapidly the occurrences increase, the faster the process from bleaching to complete death occurs. I'm extremely happy that you're interested in watching the documentary - and I hope you do - but I did mention a hard fact: nearly 30% of the GBR died in 2016 ALONE. That's an alarming number. An alarming number that I hope grabs people's attention and makes them want to care (not saying that you, Stephanie, don't).
Your art is beautiful, thank you for sharing.
I so agree with you! The more we talk about these issues, the better the chances people start acting.
It's likely I'll do an artwork about those 30% as that can easily be transcribed visually, so again, thank you for pointing that out and no doubt I'll watch that documentary. I'm a little documentary junky anyway.
Can't wait to see what you create, Stephanie! Thank you for the lovely discussion - hope you have a wonderful week!
