- Happy Belated Earth Day! I really wanted to do something with the little glass yogurt jars I had been collecting. I also wanted to incorporate nature and resin! I didn't get to the resin, but I'm happy with my mini fantasy coral reef in a glass jar. I will update when I get the resin to finish this off but I had a blast and couldn't wait to put up this part of my project. I use chalk pastels for the first time! I make coral for the first time! I mess up a lot, learn a lot, and I'm pleased as punch. Still trying to work out video editing to make this more appealing for y'all. Thanks for hanging in there with me!

(Psst... I'll tell you a secret. I tried to sculpt little tropical fish but uhhh... they just looked like tropical boogers. 😅 I've got a lot to learn still but I'm getting there!)
This is so cute! I think you're doing a great job and agree and like your attitude about pushing thru even if something isn't initially foing how you planned. I have many "Happy Accidents " and the learning is worth the journey even if you don't love what you made. It can often lead to creating or figuring out a technique and also discovering what you don't care for or maybe don't enjoy doing is valuable too.
Like you, I love the ocean and reefs and creatures that live there. I've been fortunate enough to do a few SCUBA dives as well as even more snorkling off several Caribbean Islands and I just love it! Don't be discouraged if SCUBA is too much with your asthma, I have seen some of the most gorgeous fish and some interesting corals while snorkeling. There are even some beaches you can snorkle from and be able to go in and then rest on the beach, but do your research. The better sea fans and interesting corals and anemones are farther out and requires snorkeling from a boat but i love that too. My hubby and i have been on many snorkeling trips while on Cruises. I highly recommend. And hope you get to have those experiences you have been dreaming about.
Wonderful and inspiring. Trying to work in a jar would give me a nervous breakdown.

Can you put them in water without getting destroyed?
