I lived in Fujinomiya. My favorite place to view Mt. Fuji is in Lake Tanuki especially during autumn and winter. The cool breeze and quiet environment helped me relax my mind while I sit on a bench near the lake to view the mountain and keep my mind off things. A car is better to get around the city.
Beautiful, we've been to Hakone and Lake Kawaguchiko (twice) and Chureito Pagoda, but never been to these places. Definitely, these places go to my bucket list. Thank you.
@japanguide yes, I always visit your channel to get information about places in Japan. Last April, I used your videos on Kawagoe and Takayama City as my references on my visit again to Japan. I'm planning to explore less traveled places after visiting most of the tourist spots. I hope you continue to give us detailed information about the county. Thank you.
From Jogashima island you can see Fuji mountain (sometime) and somewhere from Miura ( misakoguci station, have dinner with view to Mt Fuji sometime), from Yolosuka Arasaki park you can also see Mt. Fuji. From Hakone, From Yamanashi lake. And from park browsong spot on Yokohama. Always need to chose a day when weather os clear. Because even near Fuji, can't see top sometimes.
Thanks for your report, and many of these underrated, lesser known places are beautiful. You mentioned about driving, so which city do you recommend visitors to pick up their rental car?
I thought this was going to be 10 good spots to view/take pictures of Mount Fuji, but it's Shizuoka travel. The Izu Peninsula is definitely underrated. There's still a lot there I haven't visited.
When you listed 1) Kiunkaku. The map pic shows the izu peninsula , hope that's right . I am coming to Japan in end of June from Florida , I had to look twice to make sure I wasn't on a map of the US, lol, so similar looking at a quick glance to Florida . Cheers , great vid , thank you .
Hi! The video was filmed at the end of January :) Weather wise end of April and early May are good options to travel to Japan but because of the school holidays and Golden Week it can be cause of various travel-related concerns. If you need more info about when to travel to Japan we have a video and page on the topic: www.japan-guide.com/e/e2273.html
Hi Raina, thanks so much for sharing. I would love to drive around but is it true renting car is very expensive in Japan? can you recommend a good car rental company that can be picked up and returned in different city. For example, can I just rent a car for few days around Mt fuji, any car rental company around there?

I recommend to pick it up at one of the shinkansen stations: Atami, Mishima or Shin-Fuji.

Hi there! I need some advice! Is it a good time to visit Mount Fuji and around during summer time, particularly in July?
Its usually covered in clouds or haze during warm summer months. July is super hot and humid in general.
@@martenlundin Agree with you. Rainy season.
What about Hakone?
