While giving the possibility to the ones that memorize the level to complete it fast. It's kinda like pizza tower, I would argue that it's maybe less frenetic than that tho

0:41 Mother 1 was already fully translated ready to be officially release outside of Japan since 1991, but it's just been sitting there until Nintendo release it on Wii U Virtual Console for the first time. So Mother 1 takes zero work to localize it if they want. Mother 3 is a different situation compared to Mother 1 since in 3, they need to work on officially translating before they can localize it.

I wouldn't understand why Mother 3 has been localized a few years ago, but seeing now how some people can call anything with a hint of LGBTQ+ or whatever in it "woke trash" (and Sweet Baby Inc isn't helping with this with forced inclusion), I can see why it would be held off from the West. Even if it's a minority, they make up for it with being vocal. And the fact that the Magypsies have a slur in their name can possibly make things worse. I know that people can argue that localizers could change small bits in the writing, but others can argue that it wouldn't stay true to the original version. It's a seemingly lose-lose situation.

This wasn’t supposed to be a regular direct. It’s just a partner showcase. Its purpose isn’t to promote the giant first party games, it’s just to showcase some third party games. If you had just read the title, then you probably wouldn’t have gotten your hopes up, but I’m sorry that It didn’t live up to the astronomical expectations people have for these things.
