Shallow woman with spoiled personality i think is quite miss the mark to describe prince kacho, she was literally being bratty and distant on purpose to sway people attention from her. Just until she met melody then she finally showed her true nature. Her screentime was pretty short but also quite impactful for me. Her sacrifice is one of the higlight of this arc.

@@ASOtheprO is the 14th Prince the short one with a Bhuddist type pattern on his head that seems to be a genuinely nice person but still evil or is it the Tom Cruise looking Prince with the feather type Nen beast who wants nothing to do with the succession war? I have both in the top 5 with Benjamin (the Lion looking Prince). I have the hippy weed smoking Prince as the next to die.... that's if Togashi decides to write and draw a few more chapters.

I think a big assumption people make is that the Succession War will play out to completion.
Togashi has shown time and time again in the past through HxH how he does not adhere to the tropes of traditional storytelling. He takes unconventional approaches to resolving conflicts, but they feel organic and are perfect for the characters and themes of the story, and reinforce the "real world" feeling that HxH provides.
There are hints in SW that tell us that the conflict may not progress the way we think it would, so I highly doubt it will play out to completion.
If it does, there will be unconventional approaches taken to resolving the conflicts; I am sure of that.
I would actually love if the succesion war didn’t play out to completion. It would perfectly display the naturally chaotic world of hunterxhunter and togashi’s writing

I mean it is HxH, we shouldn't rule out the baby winning and somehow being fully cognizant or something. Psychic Baby for Successor sounds like something that would happen.
The gaining of an ability through Benjamin Baton is not shown by four stars being added, rather a star is added for each ability. The inference there with four stars being shown is that this is not the first time he gained a subordinate’s ability - they are a military unit after all, so they are bound to have lost a few mean before we see them.

Great video. The panel of the 14 coffins kind of hints at the fact that there could be some sort of major sacrifice. With either all the princes dying or one of the coffins being for the king ?
I was thinking it was for Nasubi, since he would have to be out of the picture for the next King to take the throne.
nasubi has the painting of kronos in his room, implying hes going to sacrifice all his children to become stronger

I doubt it. Togashi is either setting something up for down the line, or just trolling the entire fan base. But w/ the rate we’re getting chapters these days, we’ll probably never see him again.
Maybe Tserridenich will die by Kurapika by using a huge power and Leorio will help Kurapika with his nen power

For me it is between Benjamin, Wobble & Tserriednic. Those three are the most equipped for winning that war. Benjamin nen ability is really broken and he has knowledgeable soldiers, Wobble has an MC on his side and Tserriednic has so much talent because he needs that puch power leveling to compete with these two.
Halkenburg has all the makings of a possible winner too though

My theory is kurapika will die somewhere at random. He is using his power so much he needs to constantly keep it on and that is killing him quickly. I feel he will make many plans and then we will see him just die in a panel and the story continues without him as the phantom troupe make thier way up and down the ship looking for hisoka. I doubt togashi will just let everything go normal and it will lead to a huge crisis that will leave only a few left alive by the end.
Togashi is one for good subversion so we will probably see something big change as people die to the plague of murders going through the boat.
Good point. The Spiders could distract Kurapika or the overuse of Emperor's time could lead to his downfall.

Hisoka is also around so we could see another York New situation where they team up to deal with the spiders. Kurapika has many things to take care of like prince woble and his mother. All the enemies trying to find what his abilities are. The spiders and the monkey traitor as well as the time he is losing on top of it. And that's not even bringing up the 4th prince as One mistake could lead to his downfall when any of these plot points come crashing together.
I mean look at what he is doing now. He is arming everyone with nen which will make things even more Chaotic with more powers coming into play while playing politics basically alone. He is in a losing situation
What's your opinion on the notion that Belerainte is **SPOILER ALERT** Hisoka in disguise? Many have pointed out that he had the heart in his speech bubble and he's a tall man like Hisoka. Given this assumption, he could work with Kurapika (under cover) to eliminate the other Princes along with the Spiders.
I do agree, though, that Kurapika is setting up an increasingly chaotic situation that is set to bubble over at any moment. With all the turmoil, a placid individual -- like Zhang Lei -- could lay low and allow the chaos to destroy everyone.
@@BerserkDude well he does have ways to disguise himself but I'm not sure if that's him. We'll need more information before I get on board with the theory. I'd it does happen yeah it could work as hisoka knows how crazy people work and basically set his enemy to die making him a spider so killua might lose a few brothers.
Could win by default but I feel the pods will Instead birth some super nen king of the country if they need all the prince bodies after death. Something is up but I'm excited to learn what it is.
It'd be interesting to see Kurapika be weak in power and then the Troupe finds him. I wonder what a battle between some of the guards Kurapika trained vs the Troupe would be like.

Considering it on a meta level, Benjamin and Camilla don’t have a chance. Benjamin is the obvious villain (from the pov of the characters), a position I’m sure Tserriednich will take from him. Camilla’s immortality ability revealed as early on as it was pretty much ensures she will die, likely by some sort of mistake where she is most responsible so there’s no one for her cat to siphon life from. To a similar extent, Halkenburg’s moral trajectory doesn’t help the look of his odds of survival.
In contrast, I think meta-wise the three with the best odds are Woble (don’t need to explain), Fugetsu (lots of story focus and Kacho’s death is tragic enough story justification to keep her alive), and Zhang Lie (to a lesser extent, for similar reasons that you pointed out).
Also, Tyson’s nen beast could make an interesting pair with what Morena is doing on the lower decks, whatever that would result in.

Some events in Hunter x Hunter are so unexpected and leave you traumatized. It gets darker and darker.

Prince Wobble. Kurapika will die to save her, give up on his goal to collect the Kurta eyes and revenge against the Phantom Troupe but they will be wiped out by Hisoka (because they cheated in his fight). The 4th Prince Tserriednich and Halkenburg will almost win but Kurapika will team up with Halkenburg to defeat Tserriednich. Prince Wobble wins and becomes king of the Kakin Empire but
there will be an epilogue about how Prince Wobble becomes a tyrant worse than Tserriednic.

Benjamin definitely won’t outright win, I say outright because I don’t believe the war will play to one winner, I think something will interrupt it and the arc will take a different turn. And also even if it did go the whole way through, Benjamin is wayyy too obvious of a candidate to win because he has all the advantages so I don’t think he’s actually gonna win

Most people like this arc but idk man. It should just stick to the prince and spider but it has other useless scene. Been so long since I read this that I forgot the name of the prince but I think the guy that the girl was trying to kill will win. I think he was the third prince.
I say the current King is being massively overlooked. 14 coffins and one is for HIM? Nah just feels off to me. A king who sets his children to face off against one another to see who will win is just eliminating the competition so that when the final one or two are remaining he can capitalize and maintain his power and grow strong.

Togashi is really taking a long time in resting. Who knows he might be working on secret on the continuation on the manga as of now but its a very low possibility. But someone can dream you know.
