OMG, this dog literally understands exactly what you want. Absolutely amazing model. Even holding the ears permanently in correct position. If only all animals would cooperate like he. Even taking the right paw down on command, then “hide, hide” and posing perfectly cute 🥰 Awesome 🤩
I love watching Alfie as much as I do listening and learning from you. I miss my red headed border collie guy and enjoy seeing yours...He is indeed a very, very handsome boy...🐶💙🐶
Wow. Great tips. Thank u very much for your videos. As an "advanced amateur" Im learning so much from you videos. RLY appreciated. And its so good to see how well trained ur dogs are 😍
I didn’t know this method...I used to remove chromatic aberration with the hue/saturation tool, selecting the colour to remove, desaturating, then inverting the mask, then painting in white where chromatic aberration could be seen....Woah your method is much easier and quicker...I will use it sure! Thank you very much indeed 🙂
Link to the blog with a little more info is here: www.thatdogspot.co.uk/10-ways-to-instantly-improve-your-portraits/ Also, how amazing is Alfie in this?! ❤️
We are indebted to you for the act of freely sharing from your wealth of experience and technical knowledge. We know RUclips ‘LIKES’ are not in themselves wealth-generating income sources which makes your brand of altruism especially noteworthy.
Another great vid! On the second to last shot with the dog with his face and paws on the log, I love that you didn't settle for the first pose (which I am pretty sure I would have done) and went for the second at an angle. I will remember that tip the most!
I've been binging your videos; basically, you are adorable and are so talented at what you do! I love that you give practical, real advice that's helpful for photographers out doing what we do. Thanks so much for all of your content! Best, Joanne
That was an amazing lesson. As soon as we have a little bit of light I will go out and shoot. Every day is very dull and I haven't seen the sun for over a month.
another amazing video not only full of tips but its fun to watch as well - you make learning an enjoyment - really new and getting it all wrong 90% of the time -but seeing you working and your results are inspirational - i hate noise in my images and knocks confidence badly, i love sunny days as images always come out sharper and detailed - was looking at your settings and noticed 1600 iso at one time and 400 iso another - i am not an iso fan lol even in the snow the other day images were so grainy - used lowest shutter speed possible think about 600 - 800 and f5 - with 100 400 sony lens -out doors and as for indoors photos almost black - any videos on mastering this or lightroom editing for noise - if they are worth saving lol other quick question i watch many of your other videos and notice the amount of equipment you have - i am investing in lighting system and am going with a godox company at the moment as i have the sony a7r iv so need compatible bits and i liked your battery ilux system - i see you have ilux softboxes and am trying to get those as well - for easy use and portable - the godox seller is saying go ilux and as you use ilux is it worth the investment for quality and i was looking at your stands and the godox seller says again ilux stands are as good - i have such trust and faith in your advice and direction as you use it all look forward to watching all you video past and present - you are a great teacher xt - sorry if not meant to ask question here xt
For Noise, definitely check out this app (it does have a $$ cost!): ruclips.net/video/1DDDX5q20_I/видео.html I've got Godox lights now, but the ilux modifiers fit - either Godox or iLux is fine for modifiers. For lightstands, a link to my heavy duty ones is in the description of each video :)
This was great! Thank you! Some of it I was doing, or close to it, but some of it I wasn't at all, and the stuff I was already doing, this will help me now clean up my technique. Thanks again!
Absolutely enjoyable. Enjoyable enough to subscribe. I breed Bernese Mountain dogs, live on an acreage in Yukon, and I'm a hobbyist photographer. Currently it's -30C and snowing. Your videos are an super way to spend a day 'not outside'. I'll be putting your tips to good use. Thanks.
I'm recently retired and took up Photography as a hobby, so I'm a complete beginner. However I've bought a FujiFilm XT-4 and some great gear to shoot (not literally) my two Golden Retrievers. I only came across this RUclips Channel by chance and to see what can be done and to learn some great tips is really helpful. I suspect I will be coming back to this video again soon for revision but in the meantime I've joined the Facebook Page and will follow on Instagram. Some great ideas there. I just wish Milo and Belle would sit and pose like that but alas my dog training is a bit like my Photography at the moment.
so glad you've found us 😊 great to hear you have found the video content useful. We have lots of videos that should help you on your photography journey. You might also find 'Bryt Diaries' really useful with Episode 1 being THE SIT: How to train a dog to be a pro model 🐶 (ruclips.net/video/m1WO9gYOAxQ/видео.html) Enjoy! with Milo and Belle 😊
Great Video Jess.......how do you get nose in focus with shallow DF when the eyes are in focus? I have a Springer who looks similar and on spot focus, the nose is soft at 2.8.
This is great! Thank you so much. On my camera the focus points go up higher on the middle section so I tend to use the middle corners. I think newer cameras have focus points that cover much more of the screen? I also found that I do a bit more cleaning up of the location than I ever used to, like remove sticks etc, to save time when editing!
We’re recording all of the training and posting it in Bryt Diaries every week for the puppy. Check out her playlist on the channel. The methods are the same ☺️
Alfie makes this look oh so easy. He is adorable. Your video is amazing and love the real life examples. My goal is to begin my pet photography in 2021 so am watching your Goal Setting video as well. Thank you for being so generous with your time and knowledge.
Another great video, great advice in a real life situation. Thank you. One question is kind of off topic, but what boots are you using? I've wrecked a few doing photography because they split with all the getting up and down, so would be great to have a recommendation 😁
I am amazed at how cooperative your dogs are! They are like the perfect assistants. Did you train them yourself? I am learning so much from your videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your kind words 🙏 we put a lot of hours into training them ourselves. We have a series of videos "Bryt Diaries" ruclips.net/video/m1WO9gYOAxQ/видео.html if you'd like to take a look 😊
@@ThatPhotographySpot The end result is quite amazing. That could be a second career if you were to ever become bored with your current line of work. Just don't ever become bored with working with dogs. That could be detrimental.
Just found your channel & love it !!! What the heck is that large screen that you can see so fantastically with ??? I want one, just need to know what to type in to find it. Does it work with any camera ? I shoot with a Nikon btw. Love your videos, gonna find them all & do a ton of watching them. I just went downstairs to get my husband to come up & watch how you can get Alfie & Alfredo to so anything you ask them to, we can't get small children to come close to this 🤣🤣 new to shooting pups with my subjects & need some guidance & you definitely know what you're doing, I don't at this point...... Thanks for amazing videos. btw - my hubby was blown away also . Fantastic video
Thank you for the kind words 🙏 The screen you are referring to is just a field monitor and I am sure you will be able to get one to fit your camera but it doesn't necessarily make things easier 🙂
This good boy is more professional than most human models.
Hahaha yes!
This dog understands better than some people watching this video
😂😂😂
OMG, this dog literally understands exactly what you want. Absolutely amazing model. Even holding the ears permanently in correct position. If only all animals would cooperate like he. Even taking the right paw down on command, then “hide, hide” and posing perfectly cute 🥰 Awesome 🤩
He's such a lovely pup - so easy!

I have a question for you. What is the name of this object that you have on your camera. The one where we can see a dog and the settings.
Looking at your "older" videos and we are enjoying them!!
And for a second, i thought that glove was floating for a second there lol.

This dog is amazing trained 😊😊😊 such a great subject

Great stuff, Jess! And Alfie is just amazing! Although I don't normally shoot pets, I really enjoyed this!
Thank you Maria! Yes, Alfie is a great dog to work with so it makes it easier/better 😂 Glad to see you over here!
another amazing video not only full of tips but its fun to watch as well - you make learning an enjoyment - really new and getting it all wrong 90% of the time -but seeing you working and your results are inspirational - i hate noise in my images and knocks confidence badly, i love sunny days as images always come out sharper and detailed - was looking at your settings and noticed 1600 iso at one time and 400 iso another - i am not an iso fan lol
even in the snow the other day images were so grainy - used lowest shutter speed possible think about 600 - 800 and f5 - with 100 400 sony lens -out doors and as for indoors photos almost black - any videos on mastering this or lightroom editing for noise - if they are worth saving lol
other quick question i watch many of your other videos and notice the amount of equipment you have - i am investing in lighting system and am going with a godox company at the moment as i have the sony a7r iv so need compatible bits and i liked your battery ilux system - i see you have ilux softboxes and am trying to get those as well - for easy use and portable - the godox seller is saying go ilux and as you use ilux is it worth the investment for quality and i was looking at your stands and the godox seller says again ilux stands are as good - i have such trust and faith in your advice and direction as you use it all
look forward to watching all you video past and present - you are a great teacher xt - sorry if not meant to ask question here xt
