Regular Rit dye is made for dying natural fibers (cotton, linen, silk). DyeMore works better for the wheels, because it’s made for dying synthetic fibers like polyester. ;)
both of them work like crap, you're only going to be able to dye a very thin layer of the surface urethane, it'll wear off/through. i just don't understand this. it's like pretending plastic is something it isn't. if you want colored plastic you have to add the color during the manufacturing process.
@@FloatDown Keith Franklin is well known for dying wheels I I recently had my wheels cut down with a lathe to make them super skinny almost to the hub and the dye still looks perfect
@@chrhadden Keith Franklin charges $40 to dye and $10 to ship to cut the wheels if you want to do that you need to get a hold of Nathan Edward’s I believe to cut the wheels was $25 for the set
Thanks for the idea, I did the hot pink on my wheels. I don't like the color. :( funny thing is I dye it half, and it is half red (not pink) and half white. they look like pokemon pokeball now.

Ok so I just tried this again with Rit Dyemore royal purple..... 😅 pro tip, test it on something you don't care about first and make sure you're getting bright colours. The darker dyes tend to turn out more black with a slight colour tint to them in this case they look like the darkest red wine 🍷 🤣 got 2 sets of white wheels left. One of them might work out.
