Thanks guys for a great episode. Your honest perspectives of the boat and newness to sailing are refreshing. The boat is WOW, OMG I googled it a few episodes back and was a bit meh, but seeing the space above deck, John's comparison to a Cat and the size of the two rear cabins left me feeling like WOW - Jeanneau have created something special here. You guys are so lucky...but so are we because you content is awesome - thanks so much.

You guy’s do such a good job showing them & bringing up the things that people want to know about, you make the Boats “look” good & actually it’s more enjoyable than the people who are in Sales doing it. Maybe because they’re not actually using them & going Sailing for even once, much less a week or more. John also knows all about the guy stuff like the engines, gas/diesel, spec’s and everyone trusts his opinion . Great Job all the way around!!❤

Hey Guys ...without a doubt ...the best ever sailing travel video...
Thank your for the great video's. We've seen them all! And because of you we are going to buy the J55 :) After sailing over 40.000 nautical miles, this boat will bring a new adventure. We've really enjoyed all your lovely stories. Maybe we'll meet on the Cannes Boatshow. We'll be there, invite you for an amazing dinner. Michael & Cindy.
Spent quite some time onboard the 55 at Annapolis. It is truly a spectacularly innovative design, with great execution. My main quibble are the gull wing doors to guest cabins. These should have been retractable to avoid having them interfere with sightlines when they are invariably left open to permit ventilation of the cabins. For cruisers, Jeanneau should offer a 2 cabin work + work room version.
Hey ya! I’m so glad you were able to see the 55 at the Annapolis boat show! I hope you were able to bump into Kelly while you were there 🙂Re: the doors, this isn’t something I noticed while underway. It didn’t cross my mind at all, but perhaps as the series continues we’ll have some better shots around the boat. And yes, you’re right! As an option, you are also able to convert one of the cabins into a workshop, which is super cool! A great idea 💡 We thought the same thing. If John and I were to live onboard and didn’t have many guests onboard, we’d love to use say Kelly’s room as an office or work shop 🙂 The privacy factor is brilliant though if you have guests! Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it’s great to hear your feedback 🙌

Hey Guys, Your Spain journey is amazing, Love your Boat Tour, John's explanation was really very 👍 Good. I feel proud that I am part of your journey, not Physically but virtually. Thank you sharing your journey with us❤❤❤ Have a Wonderful Day ❤️😊
Thank you so much. John is an absolute gun when it comes to the explanation side of things. He really has such a strong understanding of this boat, engineering and everything/anything mechanical! His Mum tells me he was one of those kids who'd pull things apart, and put it back together to understand how it works. Wild right?! Wish my pea brain worked like that hahaha! Thank you so much for being here virtually with us too. It's actually so nice to hear from you, it makes our connection feel so much more real and authentic - so thanks for stopping by and spreading the love! Have a great weekend!! x
Oh thanks!!! It's so hard to keep healthy living out on the salty seas and swimming in the ocean all the time, lots of conditioner and leave-in treatments (which is usually just leaving the conditioner in)! :)
One heck of a yacht and tour‼️🎉 Damn, could even make me think twice about the catamaran we are going to purchase. Great episode guys. Colorful. Fun. And full of laughter. 🎉 🎉 🎉 See you next time.✨ 🌊 💨 ⛵️ 🏝️ 👙 🌞 ✨
Thank you so much Joe! Wow, that's incredible news. If you love mono's and don't want to compromise on space, definitely check out the J55! It's such a great design! It was so funny.. when we walked passed a few mono's... I completely forgot how far back the helms are!!!!! I said to John, 'How are we going to go back?!?' Haha!
What you need to think about with your prospective purchase is what you get for the $$$. Stop thinking length and think $$$$. A cat will give you no heeling, shoal draught, easier docking, more difficult sailing, above deck living. For the same cash a mono will be just as fast, have as much space, but will not have a galley/saloon with a view and will heel over and draw more water. A mono will have bigger fuel & water tanks and be able to carry much more gear safely. A mono may be better in rough weather. Do you want wide cabin and cockpit spaces in a boat which heels over? There is some thinking to be done
It is truly such an eye opener to be in a new country, on a new boat, with some new people! Can’t wait to show you some of the next few anchorages - true natural beauty!! 🙂🙂 How have you been Peter? 🙌
Hi krys, I am so excited to see you again with your sophisticated boat, which I haven't seen yet how it works, i have seen one just for a tour inside and as one of their newly displayed boat shows, and I am very surprised with the passage rail oopsss, did I spell them properly? And aside from being automatic it has a sound like a back horn of a backing car, Sad to say I'm really out of your advanced world🙄😕, the hidden electric grill oven was fantistic, has never seen that before too and the galley is very cool almost the size of a cat for a 6m wide, it is very huge for a single handed mono, and the interior color😱 very relaxing❤and comfort , it has many interesting features that you could only see them in super yachts to think its a 55ftr mono hall boat, the rooms are pretty big, and every space were utilized in a comfortable way, even the TV set are hidden safely, sorry I talk too much😁, never imagine how huge it is,.. I bet it costs you a fortune to rent a brand new boat like that, well new ones are better, they don't break easily or have some issues like leaks, electric failure, water maker probs, the good thing is it fits you both, very cool boat for a very cool couple❤☺ love to watch more from your coming videos, I like that boat so cool😎,.. Sorry krys i always talk and talk and talk...🤫🥴🤐
Wow what a beautiful boat. You guys make sailing look easy but I know.its a lot of work. Also Bezos yacht is insane! The island looks like wonderful place to visit. Thanks for the tour of the boat. After sailing on a cat and a monohual what do you like more? Peace
Hahahahaha.. not going to lie, I had to look up who that was. And then I cackled with the search result hahaha! Thanks for the laughs 😂 Keep them coming too! :)
Thanks for another interesting episode. Such amazing history. Get yourselves some good gloves for those mooring lines, some of them are very sharp with barnacle’s growing on them.
Yes, agree and omg, he absolutely aced it!!!! He made it look EASY! I should have mentioned… it has been about a year since parking up Tucana, so in my opinion, it blew my socks off!!!!! My nerves were high.. but honestly, he said the stern and bow thrusters make parking a whole new ball game. He’s said it’s so easy it seems like he’s cheating haha 😆 How incredible though to know in sticky situation, or if you haven’t been behind the helm in a while, you have all the tools available to you to park like a pro. Such a comforting feeling!!!!!
We're currently in Spain :) But this is our Greece Series - you'll absolutely love it: ruclips.net/p/PLfZuf6hkg2xFGRB8Rf5dzDM5TM_7mIttG&si=xnVtUCSlkjoX5Oxd
It's amazing what luxury you guys did a great job showcasing her, after the boat tour our favourite part was the mad dash into town for the Sangria / Paella dinner feast it looked worth it
That stop was spectacular. I loved the boat, but for me it'll be a cat for the motion. Less roll = less feeling like crap. Looking forward to next week.
Love the boat, very luxurious. Gonna be hard to go back from that! I always get to do the parking when med mooring as it seems to stress a lot of people out. I actually love it AND it means I don't have to handle the slime lines!
I know....... you can say that again... how the heck are we going to go back from this????!!!! 😂 Just gotta hope this journey goes well, and y'all love the places we're going to take you to, so Jeanneau will lend us another perhaps?! Hahaha.. one can only wish. Yes.. so true.. Med mooring is a lot of fun... although.. it's been a while since we've done it... everyone has lazy lines here in Spain and Italy... so interesting right? Why is that I wonder?
@@KristinasTravels Keep the dream alive - a few YTers are getting new boats built at the moment - that'll be you at some point I'm sure. In the meantime, Jeanneau is getting good press from your review and the cost to them is negligible. Come on Jeanneau, let's go again! There you go, did my bit to help out😂. I don't actually know why some places have lazy lines, maybe to avoid crossed anchor chains in a packed marina?
I see you were in Canet en Roussillon. I was there and sailed to Palma too haha. This was around the 20 sep. Maybe you saw a big red boat called lilla. Sailing boat
Absolutely love it, wow what a boat. Yip I would be very happy with a boat like that. Loving your stuff, keep up the good work, SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
I see you guys filling the water tanks at every marina stop. Does the Jennau 55 not have a water maker equipped and is it an option to add on. The yacht looks incredible and it has given me a few great ideas for the model boat I’m making for a hobby.
Hey there!! Water maker is an option, we were sailing the demo model, the owner who bought it did have it fitted by the yard that commissions the boats on behalf of Jeanneau in France. Sounds like a great hobby!! 😍
Oh, you’re good to us! Thanks for helping us with the algorithm!! ❤️🙌 We’re actually borrowing it from Jeanneau 🤗🙌 It’s their hull number #1 - first in the world!
I wouldn't turn down that boat 😀 awesome episode as always 🙂 what is that island? Tabarca? 🙂 We'll be in Mallorca (Palma) in 5 days too 🙂 enjoy your trip!
Thank you for this channel, and thank you for all the hard work you put into it. When I see this episode, it reminds me that I am still undecided and waffling between a Mono hull and Catamaran.
Truly. Such a cool design for a mono. I felt so safe at night sailing with the helms so far forward. It's just brilliant for so many reasons! What was your favourite feature Rob? :)
It’s just part of living! There is always something to do on the boat when we get to a marina unfortunately and fortunately (keeps it interesting!). All hands on deck! 🤗🤗
one way to build audience would be to have a boat test over several days, with a vlogging sailing journalist - one that's a highly experienced sailor, that is - maybe?
What do you do about your house payment and car payment health insurance payment and so I hope you and John have a great sailing adventure and stay safe out there.
Hey Lorel, John here, I suggested this to Kristina but her eyes glazed over, perhaps we can edit the video on patreon and include this as it interests me also 😉
Lol.. thanks John... (yes, he has my login) and yes.. this is true... I did say this. And yes John, good idea, let's edit up the one on Patreon for the number lovers like you :)
Hi Kristina as a trained reporter one of the most important things you do is get your facts correct. On the yacht KORU you mentioned while filming (6:13) that one of the radars could be the size of a human. They are not radar but satellite equipment. The radars all three of them are on the forward mast one above the other. You could have asked John to verify your data when you were doing the editing. Regarding the boat tour, it is funny that everything is electrically operated. Maybe the stove top should have been induction, then there would be no need to get gas.
Thanks so much George! Truely grateful for you guys and the community for picking things I get wrong. Cheers for educating us all down here in the comments who weren’t aware, appreciate it 👌 I guess the stove top is optional, some people prefer gas? I’m not sure! But I didn’t mind the set up, it’s always nice to have options, I mean the bbq was there if we ran out of gas I suppose. Not a bad backup 🙂
@@KristinasTravels interesting! looking forward to watching your next videos in the next few months then :) I'm wondering something... I've always wanted to learn sailing but never did so far. I sailed once from Aruba to Panama as a newbie crew member and absolutely loved it! Would you consider taking a traveler onboard for a few weeks? :D Like a workaway exchange (where the traveler would help for daily tasks on the sailboat and he/she would stay with you for free). He/she will pay his/her food as well of course.
Lovely to see your enthusiasm for life, guys, well done you! Not a mono hull fan but I can see the benefit of that one round the med. I`ve lived in straya for twenty years now and the thing I miss most about England is how quickly we could be in Spain, France ,Italy etc, sampling the local food. After a while though, you do fancy something simpler and I`d often ask for my favourite Spanish breakfast ''dos huevos con patatas fritas y dos cervezas grandes, por favor senor." Translates as "two egg and chips and two large beers please, mate" ! The breakfast of champions! Or as we say in Barcelona, Seville, Madrid, ''el desayuno de los campeones," And remember ,when speaking Spanish try not to say the words in an English or Ozzy accent. Rather try to sound like you`re an extra in a spaghetti western, they`ll love you for it ! Fair winds you two xx

@@tossed_about thank you! It can be so very scary, you're too right about that. And yes, us too, yes, we admit, we're bias after buying Tucana, but this 55 is so unique and a dream to sail!
That is one sweet ride ! I could actually go sailing on that beauty.
Well done on the tour guys your video is first class as always. John
Thanks so much John for watching and being here with us for it! 🙏 Have a great weekend 🙌 Appreciate you taking the time to say g’day! 😄
Thanks for the fantastic vid guys. We just did the whtisundays on a Cat on your inspiration! That yacht your on is very special, thanks for the tour!!
Ohhhh this is AMAZING news guys!! WOW!! Did you have an absolute blast?! How did it go? Who did you sail with? Did the company look after you? 🙂🙂 Can’t wait to hear how it went! Please let us know 🙌
Hey Guys, Your Spain journey is amazing, Love your Boat Tour, John's explanation was really very 👍 Good.
Have a great weekend!! x
Kristina your hair is amazing wow so pretty babe❤ ,can't wait ti.l the next one, loveyou❤
Always love your vids. Thanks for sharing.
Love it!
Us too hehe! We don't want to ever give the keys back!
Wow, what an amazing adventure!!! You must feel like you're in heaven.
It is truly such an eye opener to be in a new country, on a new boat, with some new people! Can’t wait to show you some of the next few anchorages - true natural beauty!! 🙂🙂 How have you been Peter? 🙌
Gorgeous boat! You have so much fun. This is my dream.
I only watch this because of the Jenn 55 monohull that sailboat is to die for
Hi krys, I am so excited to see you again with your sophisticated boat, which I haven't seen yet how it works, i have seen one just for a tour inside and as one of their newly displayed boat shows, and I am very surprised with the passage rail oopsss, did I spell them properly?
Two words about the boat. COOL BEANS! Cheers, Bill from Boston. Missed you at Annapolis this year.
Hey Bill! We saw you In some of our friends videos, we both said “there’s Bill!” Haha hope you had fun, and hope to see you next year!
Great video. Thanks from Gary, British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦
Stunning!!!! On my list of boats to own.
Heaven!!!! Same here Matt!! 🤗🙌🤣🙈
Very lovely and believable.
Wow what a beautiful boat. You guys make sailing look easy but I know.its a lot of work. Also Bezos yacht is insane! The island looks like wonderful place to visit. Thanks for the tour of the boat. After sailing on a cat and a monohual what do you like more? Peace
All Australia started purchasing yachts now.
John's moustache is giving me Nigel Thornberry lol. So happy to see another vlog. Keep at it guys!
The boat looks amazing, as does Spain and how good was John's reversing skills👍
Yes, agree and omg, he absolutely aced it!!!! He made it look EASY! I should have mentioned… it has been about a year since parking up Tucana, so in my opinion, it blew my socks off!!!!!
My nerves were high.. but honestly, he said the stern and bow thrusters make parking a whole new ball game. He’s said it’s so easy it seems like he’s cheating haha 😆 How incredible though to know in sticky situation, or if you haven’t been behind the helm in a while, you have all the tools available to you to park like a pro. Such a comforting feeling!!!!!
I’m so jealous, I can watch your videos all day 😊🎉😂
Thanks so much Jason! Working on the next one now! Woohoo! :)
Impressive boat tour. With soooo many electrical devices on board, that boat must have a substantial battery bank.
Lol The Castle, classic movie
I love it!! ! Just amazing
Truly. It's genius!
WOW,WOW. the Greek Islands 🏝 are so beautiful. And the Jeanne's 55 ❤❤ it.
Indeed they are, but that was Spain😂
We're currently in Spain :)
But this is our Greece Series - you'll absolutely love it: ruclips.net/p/PLfZuf6hkg2xFGRB8Rf5dzDM5TM_7mIttG&si=xnVtUCSlkjoX5Oxd
It's amazing what luxury you guys did a great job showcasing her, after the boat tour our favourite part was the mad dash into town for the Sangria / Paella dinner feast it looked worth it
Clever boat, especially the electronic's and the trick barbie.
The barbie is brilliant. Truely. It was such a social place to have it too!
Great video, boat and crew
Cheers Brian! Feeling the love mate, thanks for taking the time to write to us 🥰
That stop was spectacular. I loved the boat, but for me it'll be a cat for the motion. Less roll = less feeling like crap. Looking forward to next week.
Cheers Thomas! Thanks for writing to us - means so much! Working on the next vid now - yay! :) Can't wait to share it with ya! 🙂
That's one nice boat. All those electronic gadgets are gonna break though. LOL. Lot's of maintenance.
Amazing video, so much eye candy. C@not wait to make sailing my life. I have a few years but I’m going to make it happen.
Absolutely right very Beautiful ❤️
I see you were in Canet en Roussillon. I was there and sailed to Palma too haha. This was around the 20 sep. Maybe you saw a big red boat called lilla. Sailing boat
you guys fortunate, hoping one day get one for my family and sail thousand Island of my country Indonesia, Godspeed
Absolutely love it, wow what a boat. Yip I would be very happy with a boat like that. Loving your stuff, keep up the good work, SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
I want to sail this video is motivating.
Had one day in wonderful Palma
Likewise!! Def not enough! Would love to go back sometime 👌 What did you think of it?
Weldone on the new purchase. 2 million dollar yacht.
We have to give it back, but maybe one day… 🙈🤣 one day… ❤️🤗
Cheers guys
Thanks Trev. Appreciate the support always mate! Since the very beginning!
For algorithm let me ask same question as someone else. How did you afford this boat and why not a Cat?
Oh, you’re good to us! Thanks for helping us with the algorithm!! ❤️🙌 We’re actually borrowing it from Jeanneau 🤗🙌 It’s their hull number #1 - first in the world!
love lit!!!
Wondering about the draught? What keel does it have ... thoughts on the standard vs shallow? Is 800 kg more weight ok for 0.5 m less draught?
Love the yacht and video. Can you also record a video about its performance? :)
Oh thanks for this! I’ll chat about it’s performance for you in the next episode!! 😁
@@KristinasTravels Thanks! Can't wait :)
Kristina, I was just saying to Fran that I believe you and Fran are the most genuine female stars on RUclips. Cheers fro Oz
Amazing but a bit pricey for a yacht to buy😀how did you guys do it?
Amazing mono....You are one lucky lady
Truly. Such a cool design for a mono. I felt so safe at night sailing with the helms so far forward. It's just brilliant for so many reasons! What was your favourite feature Rob? :)
Thanks for Another great video 🤙🏻 Any chance you could enlighten me to the boat on your port side at the marina
Hey John here, I’m pretty sure it was a Solaris, stunning boat!
@@jptilley10 ahh yes it is, I haven’t seen them with the full wrap around glass before. Fair winds and following seas
Вау, Кристиночка... прогресс продолжается!) 😊❤
I feel sorry for whoever does the laundry!! Looked like a lot of fun. No Middle of the Atlantic swim???
It’s just part of living! There is always something to do on the boat when we get to a marina unfortunately and fortunately (keeps it interesting!). All hands on deck! 🤗🤗
WOW🏅BEUTIFUL!
🙌🙂 Thank you so much for watching and being here for the journey with us! Yeww!
thanks, awe inspiring,
one way to build audience would be to have a boat test over several days, with a vlogging sailing journalist - one that's a highly experienced sailor, that is - maybe?
Definitely not a highly experienced sailor! But thanks for watching Guy!
It's all about Horses for Courses... so will this yacht ever safely cross an Ocean?
Of course it would! Why wouldn’t it?! 🤗🤗
@@KristinasTravels it's designed for aesthetics and not blue water safety
Damn, so we were pretty much neighbors, our boat is parked just a few meters to the left of yours :)
Wow.. I’m your new subscriber… I think your the first youtuber I’ve seen living full time on a yacht over $1.3 million.
Love your show...
What do you do about your house payment and car payment health insurance payment and so I hope you and John have a great sailing adventure and stay safe out there.
The boat tour was very good
But, being a naval architect, I would have wanted a bit more numbers.
Apart from that, great video, keep it up.
Very picky there George
in 30 years i will get one used!
😂🙈🤣😉
How much did your boat cost ?
We’re just lending it for a couple of months! But it’s about $1M (USD)
WHere is the washer/ dryer and is there a water maker?
Excuse me guys, but are you not telling us something? 😮
Anyone else notice wedding band/engagement ring combo on Kristina's right hand at 3:52?!?
You'll be the first to know my friend!! Not yet....... haha! 17 years next year though... 😉 Tick tock lol!
What a boat she's lush.😀
Truely!! 🫶🫶
After a while though, you do fancy something simpler and I`d often ask for my favourite Spanish breakfast ''dos huevos con patatas fritas y dos cervezas grandes, por favor senor."
Translates as "two egg and chips and two large beers please, mate" ! The breakfast of champions!
Or as we say in Barcelona, Seville, Madrid, ''el desayuno de los campeones,"
And remember ,when speaking Spanish try not to say the words in an English or Ozzy accent. Rather try to sound like you`re an extra in a spaghetti western, they`ll love you for it !
Fair winds you two xx
