hearing one of my favorite comedians talk about my favorite youtuber from 15ish years ago feels like a fever dream how big Bo Burnham is loved and makes me feel justified into showing everyone Bo's videos for this long and always go back to it. Seeing the up roar of "Inside" for everyone during Covid was truely rightful. He deserves all the love. He battles with himself, and needs to worry less. Dane Cook felt like the first famous comedian of the 2000s. I remember him hitting his stride during my high school years and it was like everyone knew his act verbatim. White kids, blacks, mexicans. Mainstream crossover success. That was lightning in a bottle. He got a bit too full of himself it seemed and the overexposure was real. Was weird to see people try and pretend he was never funny or they werent lauging their insides out just a year or two prior. That guy is the definition of striking while the iron is hot.

i first saw his material back in like 2008 or 2009 and i was gobsmacked by how unfunny it was. like i was genuinely shocked because it came recommended to me from a friend but there was nothing I found remotely funny. there are other comedians i dont find funny but i can understand why people might think so, but with dane i'm left confused.
