This is one of my all-time favorite comedies. I love how heartfelt it is. There's a deleted scene on the DVD called "Airport Goodbye" that I wish had been left in the movie and I really recommend watching it. In it, Peter sees Sarah one last time at the airport near the end of the movie and they have a last conversation. It does a good job showing that Sarah isn't really a villain or evil person; she's just flawed like anyone.
One of the things that didn't age well imo was the bromance hinted at at the end of the film with Russel Brand's character. Guy was just as bad as Sarah, probably worse tbh, and it felt almost anachronistic to see the like, women are crazy bitches amiright fellow dude? type of scene play out.
Even without that scene, I think it was made clear that she's not a villain when she revealed how much she tried to salvage the relationship before resorting to cheating. At least that's what that scene made me not think of her as a 100% bad person.
I consider this part of the "Mount Rushmore" of 2000s comedy - alongside Superbad, Knocked Up, 40-Year-Old Virgin, and maybe Step Brothers - all must-watch!!! Also slightly later but just as good is Bridesmaids
I don’t know why but it’s so funny to me when he says “I’m not putting my clothes back on because if I put my clothes on it means it’s over”. It’s somehow weirdly true 😅
Your reactions to movies like this is so entertaining :) Really hope you get to watch Get Him To The Greek, it's centered around Russel Brands "Aldus Snow" character, and the best thing about it is getting to hear more of his amazing comedy songs!
You gotta watch Get Him to the Greek. I think its a spin off or maybe a sequel with Russell Brands character. Its got Jonah Hill (not as the waiter tho) and Diddy and its fuckin hilarious. Highly recommend!
My best memory of this movie is watching a friend laugh himself breathless at the naked break-up at the beginning. Also, Infant Sorrow’s “Inside of You” is on my phone. It’s just good.
@ItsAPrimate the character Russell Brand plays in this, "Aldus Snow" has a whole movie based on his Rockstar life that stars him and Jonah Hill called "Get him to the Greek" I think it's even funnier than this movie is.. Also if you want to see Jonah Hill play a different type of character you really should watch "The Wolf of Wall Street" with him and Leonardo DiCaprio.. both these movies are incredible
Man I've seen this movie like 2 or 3 times not too many years ago for the first time but rewatching it with you I forgot how damn hilarious it was dude! Great reaction def a top 10 comedy it's one of those timeless movies you can always come back to and just laugh and have a good time.
I watched this movie last night when I saw you were reacting to it and let me just say, thank you and thank you to everyone that suggested it because this is now one of my favorite comedies. I just love Jason segal and Mila kunis. You should check out I love you man. It has Jason and Paul rudd. “Slappa da bass”
make sure to watch the bloopers they are amazing. Plus when he has his huge bowl of cereal he is gulping down the cereal milk and laughts and the milk spews everywhere.
PLEASE REACT TO THE 3 HAROLD AND KUMAR FILMS: 1. HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITECASTLE. 2. HAROLD AND KUMAR ESCAPE GUANTANAMO BAY. 3. A VERY HAROLD AND KUMAR CHRISTMAS.
One of my most quoted movies, along with Walk Hard, 40 year old Virgin, Pineapple Express, and This is the End! Inside of You was my first dance song at my wedding lol
Yeah, 2006 to around 2013 was a peak time of awesome comedies. Then ? I hope we hit another stretch of time like that, but people are so sensitive anymore (which will also pass, I believe), so I’m not sure we’ll see it for awhile.
@@goldenageofdinosaurs7192 to make a serious consideration for a second... I think people use "people are so sensitive these days" as an easy explanation but I don't think it's all that true. People were saying that as these movies came out. They said it when Seinfeld was on tv and when Rodney Dangerfield was brand new. I think it's just a perception we have on the internet, where everything is extreme and magnified. I blame it more on risk-averse corporations who will only bet on already-established properties like the MCU or some fantasy or sci fi book series. That and the comedians and actors and writers who made these movies all moved on to other things and the new generation hasn't quite found their voices yet.
Another banger of a Jason Segal film that I love right up there at the top with this one that also has Paul Rudd in a great role is "I Love You, Man".. I quote it to this day. It is SUCH a great movie, bro. You DEFINITELY need to check it out for the channel. Love your work, my guy. Keep killin it, bruh..
Hey Primate! Have you ever seen Drillbit Taylor? I swear not many reactors let alone people in general have seen it but it’s a classic pre-2010 comedy in my books with Owen Wilson
Now you need to check out Get Him to the Greek which continues Aldous Snow's story. Also do yourself a favor and lookup Dracula's Lament (full song) on RUclips to see Jason Segel perform the song on the Late Late show.
You should definitely go check out 500 days of summer its a romance movie but it’s also pretty funny too. It’s a great movie and has Joseph Gordon-Levitt playing the lead role.
My favorite rom-com. I'd say even my all time favorite comedy. Love this movie. I remember when I got this movie on a dvd comedy box with three other movies (Liar Liar, Sex Drive and random third) and I watched this movie twice a day for a week straight lol
Yes it's a very funny movie and please react to Get Him To The Greek. It's also got Russell Brand as Aldus again and Jonah Hill. The movie is just as funny as this one or maybe even more. 😊
i haven't really rewatched this just ihighly recommend 50 first dates and eurotrip i've watched those so much i can practically say all the lines along with the characters yet still crack up they both came out in february of 2004
I would highly suggest the movie "The Proposal (2009)" to watch in the near future, definitely another late 2000s comedy classic. Everyone who's already aware of Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008) probably seen that movie and will agree with me on that. I highly doubt, you see otherwise.
Given the Dracula puppet musical stuff, it won't surprise you that Jason Segel has a genuine passion for the Muppets -- to the point where he wrote and starred in the 2011 "The Muppets" movie. I could be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure I read that the Dracula musical stuff was a big part of the reason he landed that gig after. Oh! And one story I remember hearing Segel tell is that he snuck into a showing of the movie when it came out, and when he was first naked on screen, he said the two young guys sitting in front of him (again, without knowing he was behind them), said "That guy's dick is weird..."
This was my favorite movie for years. The advertising for it was awesome. Buses and billboards would say I hate u so much Sarah Marshall. People would ask who is Sarah Marshall n I would say it's a Movie that's gonna come out. I fell in love with Mila Kunis
everyone does because Mila is beautiful, and in this old movie she is young and beautiful. Her and Kristen are an amazing pair of bookends. Another fun video of them 2 is when they play "whats in the box".
Love this movie The hateful eight Sherlock Holmes Hell or high water Conan the barbarian and destroyer (Arnold) Four christmases Couples retreat Tv show Rome

@@jordank4889 He's just a rockstar. He just doesn't give af. It's hardly a bromance. He's just so out of touch and detached from everyone else.
Literally any of Paul Rudd’s lines have been quoted in my family for years 😂 Absolutely hilarious
This is probably my favorite role of his. I start laughing before he even speaks🤣
Every Paul Rudd line in this is Iconic. And I sing the Dracula musical all the time.
Die die die…

YOU SOUND LIKE YOUR FROM LONDON
You sound like you're from London! hahahah
This is one of my favorites movies of all time 😂. I never get tired of it 😎
A great comedy with Seth Rogen, Jason Segal, Jonah Hill and Paul Rudd is "Knocked Up", would love if you reacted to it!
I consider this part of the "Mount Rushmore" of 2000s comedy - alongside Superbad, Knocked Up, 40-Year-Old Virgin, and maybe Step Brothers - all must-watch!!! Also slightly later but just as good is Bridesmaids
Absolutely you just named my top 4 comedy’s although I’d put Anchorman over Step Brothers for my top 5
Not a fan of knocked up but the others are good.
lmfao
"Ooooh, I'm Aldus Snoooow. Boools***, boools***, boools****."
lmfao
i saw this reaction pop up n i went from 6 to midnight.
2:41 Lmfao "that sound". Jason's cheeks slapping 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Hell I just love an excuse to watch Russell Brand. He's the highlight in this for me. Funny af.
he's great in this.
My best memory of this movie is watching a friend laugh himself breathless at the naked break-up at the beginning. Also, Infant Sorrow’s “Inside of You” is on my phone. It’s just good.
Trying to avoid spoilers so I will keep it vague, but when Inside of You appears again in Get Him To The Greek, I was dying.
@ItsAPrimate the character Russell Brand plays in this, "Aldus Snow" has a whole movie based on his Rockstar life that stars him and Jonah Hill called "Get him to the Greek" I think it's even funnier than this movie is.. eh i never found that movie funny but each to their own. I mean I think Freddy got fingered is hilarious and apparently im alone on that.
Now you gotta watch “Get Him To The Greek” it’s basically the spin off sequel of Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Love Brand in this 🤣 he's always great at comedy and taking the piss

11:50 Lmao was that the part that had the line "off to find the mythical clitoris"? I know it's from this movie but I can't remember where
Primate, have you seen Gravity Falls? I’d love to see you react to it if you haven’t!
Great reaction for a great movie! You should watch, what I guess can be called a sort-of "sequel" to this movie, Get him to the Greek!
If you're looking for something similar, with some of the same actors, check out "I love you man". Also a very funny movie.
Love this movie, it’s so good but I never hear anyone talk about it anymore.
You should react to Role Models with Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott and also I Love You Man with Paul Rudd and Jason Segel.
This is a movie I don't frequently watch as much as others but I do really enjoy this one. It's funny as hell with a good cast. Great reaction my guy.
One of my all time favorites 🔥
This movie made me laugh so much more than I expected
This movie is slept on by so many people, it's one of the funniest movies ever.
One of my most quoted movies, along with Walk Hard, 40 year old Virgin, Pineapple Express, and This is the End!
Inside of You was my first dance song at my wedding lol
Happy Holidays and Best wishes to you and your Family for a bright and Happy New Year. 🙏🌟🥳🕊️
it's so weird how they made great comedies of this specific type for like 5 to 8 years and just... stopped? Never really got why...
Yeah, 2006 to around 2013 was a peak time of awesome comedies. Then ?
