Wow, what a day. I hope your okay after your bog slip. Thanks for sharing, utterly stunning as always. Just a beautiful area and cant wait to be back there 👍
Hi Debbie, It was a cracker and a joy to linger on the tops. The inversion just didn't move much through the day which added to the stunning landscape. A bog slip is a lot funnier when they happen to someone else 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers, Charlie
You pick your days to great effect. What a fantastic cloud inversion. I was wondering what the zigzag route was like up onto the ridge but it seems fine, well aside of the bog! Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Dougie, It was a cracking day with the inversion lasting right through the day. Actually warmer on the top than half way up which is a welcome change. Many thanks for taking the time to view. Cheers, Charlie
On New Years day when the Edinburgh Uni students stayed at Glen Licht House, we used to climb Being Fhada straight up from the bothy across the river Croe. It was called the Penance after the Hogmanay excesses. One year with full snow cover I was part of a lead team which kicked a 3000 foot stair case up the south face. We were so knackered, the people who set off an hour after us, passed us to get to the top first. However the reward was the Mother of all bum slides, and we were down in half an hour.
You certainly got a cracking day for it Charlie 🌤️ stunning views 🏔️🏔️ nice to see this one 🏔️ as I've still to tackle it 😀 Looked a wee bit tricky descending 😬 Brilliant as always 👌 atb Brian 👍
Hi Brian, You enjoy walking in to these two Munros. We only needed the single as it's normally a double for us having got washed out the last time. Good paths all the way certainly make for good travelling. Cheers, Charlie
Nice to see you out and about again 🙂...I,m a twin, we did lots of mountains in the 80s and 90s... you're very fit, don't know if we could do them now in our 60s... beautiful scenery ❤
Hi Andrew, Having a twin as a walking partner has many advantages and we find it certainly enhances our hill experiences. Our ambitions are certainly getting less as the years roll on but you've just got to keep doing it even although the targets are smaller/shorter. Cheers, Charlie
Another great video Charlie, and you certainly picked a cracking day with great visibility all around for miles. Ashamed to say that even with this area being almost on my doorstep I haven't been on these hills - and I am unlikely to now that the hip is playing up. Thank's for the video which at least shows me what might have been. Very enjoyable, if now a little frustrating. All the best, Ian.
Hi Ian, We've enjoyed about half a dozen holiday walking weeks in Glen Shiel over the years so the place holds many great memories for us. We've another this year and it would be great for some similar weather albeit a bit warmer. Many thanks for your ongoing positive comments as they are very much appreciated. Cheers, Charlie
Always happy to comment, Charlie, your videos give me a lot of pleasure and bring back a lot of memories ( and I also get to see the views from the summits I have missed 🙂
Hi Andy, Your right, hope this spell hangs around for a while. We've all do the bottomless bog drop 🤣🤣🤣 all the way up to the ticking zone. Cheers, Charlie
Absolutely incredible video - thanks for posting. Sitting in Edinburgh watching makes me feel very envious. What a part of the country that is. You got a great day and it’s nice to know it’s not just me that goes over from time to time! All the best Murdo
Hi Murdo, We have all ended up in a bog at some point but just not as much fun when your up to the ticking zone 🤣Glad you enjoyed viewing our outing, just one of those days that stick in the memory for a while. Cheers, Charlie
Hey Charlie Cracking set of videos there , i have never seen a fog bow and a broken Spector in the same shot Just brilliant ,and how mike can jump on to that Carin's like a young lad just fantastic, 🙂
Hi James, We had a cracking couple of days and the inversions were terrific. Just at the transition point on our second day certainly gave some outstanding atmospheric features. Mike does well with the cairns but I think I'd need a ladder both ways 🤣 Cheers, Charlie
Hi Kev, They certainly were terrific days. We missed the Sun but picked up Tue which turned out to be an enjoying morning in Glen Shiel. Cheers, Charlie
Superb Charlie, what a great day you both had and it looks like a fantastic walk, another one to leave for a clear day. I was back out on Sunday and it was also a cracking day - u wouldn't of thought it was nearing the end of Feb. Look forward to seeing your next outing.
What a cracking day you had, superb clarity. Cloud inversion was really nice also. Not been on Beinn Fhada yet but it looks like a nice ascent and descent. Snow really receding. Lovely video as always, and thank you for sharing it.
Hi Jonathan, It was a super day and I'm sure you'll enjoy the walk once you get around to it. It's a Munro that has everything from crags and nice corries. Cheers, Charlie
Some day Charlie!! The views to glenshiel with the clouds sitting below the tops! Wow! That’s a picture. I tell you Mikes trig point summit technique!! Slick! It’s great watching you climb a hill I have visited. More relaxing 😌. Brilliant day. Paul
Hi Paul, Its great watching completed tops when you know you don't need to hurry back 🤣 Frank was saying you were up north over the weekend so will look forward to your Fannaichs adventure. Cheers, Charlie
A fantastic hike Charlie and Mike! The views from the summit of Beinn Fhada are stunning and I‘ll do this hike in a few mounths 😊. Looking forward to that. Thanks for sharing and take care.
Fantastic video as always, Charlie. What a mountain and route that one is, especially in those conditions. I'm envious in the currently cloudy South East of England! Enjoyed the slip into the bog - reminded me of a similar situation I had some years ago.😄
Hi Steve, Really glad you enjoyed our outing. It's such a terrific area with endless amount of tops. We've had our fair share of greyness this winter but this settled spell has got us all going crazy to bash some tops 😂 Cheers, Charlie
Brilliant Charlie, what day you got☀️😎 weather has been brill for a few days. Views at the top were utterly fantastic and well done to Mike the gymnast for getting on top of the trig.👏👏 Myself & Paul were up in the Fannaichs on Sunday and got unbelievable conditions also. Well done Charlie & Mike, another great watch. Oh and it’s good to see a couple pros getting bogged down on the return journey😂😂😂😂 ATB Frank.
Hi Frank, We had a cracker and this settled weather period is a joy. I'll enjoy viewing the Fannaichs trip as they would be stunning in these conditions. It's always fun when you step into these bogs and go straight up to the tickling zone... it took Mike about 5mins to stop laughing. 🤣🤣🤣 Cheers, Charlie
Hi guys, nice to see you back out again. What a stunning walk that was, fantastic weather and scenery. The clouds sweeping in front of you in the coire looked really atmospheric. Thanks for sharing your day as always.
Hi Dave, Many thanks for taking the time to view. The atmosphere before getting out of the corrie was an unexpected thrill.... a great day. Cheers, Charlie

Hi David, We've all had one of those bog dives but just not so great when they are up to the tickling zone 🤣Really glad you enjoyed our outing. Cheers, Charlie
I did Beinn Fhada and A' Ghlas-bheinn on Saturday. Stunning area, though you got the better day. It's funny how one blue-sky day makes you forget all the soakings and clagged days at a stroke. 😆 It didn't feel like February at the weekend though, and makes me wonder if there might be a late appearance of Second Winter still around the corner
Hi David, Its always a joy returning to Kintail as you're spoiled for choice. The settled weather and no wind is the icing on the cake. I can't imagine the winter returning but in Scotland you never know 👍 Cheers, Charlie
A great day wasn't it , I took the day off work and did Càrn Dearg , Sgòr Gaibhre and the Corbett Beinn Pharlagain From near Rannoch station ... 25km in 6.5hrs .. I very nearly did the same walk you did, but with A' Ghlas-bheinn . in the end I went for the shorter drive .
Hi itsblack1, That's a nice horseshoe you went for at Rannoch with some terrific views all around. The drive is always a consideration particularly when the forecast is good as you just want to be walking. Cheers, Charlie
