Totally kool that they listened and are working on the instructions. Maybe they'll be updated by the time I get mine. Have been looking to do this to my 735 but the $500+ price point was out of my comfort zone. Thanks for an EXCELLENT tutorial!!!!
I just installed mine today. took about 3 hrs. Had to open up the hole in the drive pully with a dremel and a cylindrical grinding stone. So far , so good. A lot quieter. No milling marks.
Wow, I didn't have that issue. My key was a little tight, which is why I had to tap it on with the mallet, but I wouldn't have considered removing material.
Thanks for the time to make an extremely informative video on this product...youve helped me with the decision process of getting this head for my dewalt planer.
I just got a deal yesterday. 499 for the planer for the acme tool. And I thinking about the fine buy helical soon as I need to replace blades. And the dro from wixie. Or if I find deals i can't pass up.
Wow, you got a great deal on that! Is it new? Depending on how much you plane, that first set of knives will last a good while. I got the 735x, which comes with an extra set of blades, and I haven't used them yet. Thanks for watching!
That's a good deal. The one thing that really puts the 735 over others, in my opinion, is the 4 beefy screws it uses to adjust up and down, but if I was looking for a 2 screw model, the Oliver would be up there on my list.

Yeah, me too. Been thinking about doing it since before I bought the planer, but the cost was too high until now.
Thank you for this. I never realized how complicated this can be, this takes a lot of that away. Enjoyed our phone conversation.
You're welcome! It's nice to hear the video was helpful. I'm glad I could help out.
Thanks for your time and suggestion, Tom, we'll definitely work on the instructions!😀
Thank you. You have a great product. Making those adjustments to the instructions will be very helpful.
Are you able to offer this sale/promo on your Amazon store by chance?

They gave you the thicker nut to protect the threads when you are driving the head in place.
great instructional video.
Thanks. Yeah, that's what I figured after I gave it some thought. Makes sense.
