i love how if you just want to smite, then you only take 2 levels in paladin and never swear an oath and its so amazingly flavorful, cuz you never were committed in the first place haha.

Instead of going duel wield you could use the double bladed scimitar if your DM allows that, and the revenant blade feature can give you a plus 1 dexterity along with making your AC a bit higher meaning you could have an 18 base AC instead of 16 if you changed the stat investment.

1:44 straight class hexblade is incredibly mediocre honestly. the only good features are at level 1, and the only real standout for expanded spell list is shield, which can't be upcast, and you have pact magic, so....hexblade is only overpowered as a level 1 multiclass. I could see banning multiclassing for hexblades, but banning the subclass itself?

I had a similar idea when I put together a Hexbladesinger, they were dual wielding a Sunblade and Moonblade as hex weapon & pact weapon respectfully

Have you considered wielding your packed weapon in one hand and a Shadow blade in the other. Pumped up to a fifth level warlock spell slot that does some nasty damage on top of your smiding.

I made a 18th level blade singer and 2nd level fighter multiclass which gave me a near constant 29 AC. The reason this is so powerful is by casting spirit shroud at 9th level as a bonus action then using action surge to use fire bolt and a rapier attack twice each allowing you to dish out 10 attacks in a single round dealing a total of 8d10+72d8+10 damage which averages out to 378 damage in the first round of combat. If you are a high elf and pick up the elven accuracy feat you can summon a familiar and/or and unseen servant to give you triple advantage giving you very good accuracy with a plus 11 to hit on top of a ~14% crit chance per attack potentially pushing your damage over 400 with one or two critical hits. The only significant downsides to this build are the low HP which is reduced with resistances and high AC, the lack of healing, and the middling saving throws which can be more than enough in the right situation.

You can also choose to go a third level into fighter in order to squeeze out a bit more damage in exchange for unlimited usage of shield and absorb elements. You can also choose a different fighting style like dueling or the new superior technique. If you decide to go third level fighter you'll get the best millage out of the champion, samurai, echo knight, or psi warrior the echo knight works especially well since it gives you another attack bringing your damage up to 8d10+88d8+20 damage for an average of 460 damage in the first round of combat god forbid your DM gives you a magic rapier because you'll be dealing boat loads of damage in the first place.

Lastly, if you are unable to use fire bolt for whatever reason your damage with booming blade is 38d8+20 damage averaging out to 191 damage.

How does 2 fire bolts and 2 rapier attacks give you 10 attacks in a round?
      Sorry, bit confused by that.

i build a swashbucker hex blade, dual weilding two demonic rappiers and it was amazin, nice AC, easy sneack attacks, face of the party, tons of experise and tools, and some nice invocations for flavor, like mask of many faces and the one with the free silent image.
I do: 1 level rogue (for skills) then 3 lvls of warlock hex and 16 lvls in rogue.
Maybe take 5 lvlss in lock for the extra attack.

hexblade's curse sounds like a bit of a joke... 1 target for 1 minute, no thanks... that's some weak ass shit

So what’s the level progression…I’m a bit confused? Amazing build btw!

Me deals 7d8+8d6+5 damage with a single spell every single round. How you you ask well it is a simple multi class of 15th level arcane trickster rogue and 5th level wizard of any subclass. Simply use your bonus action to cast a 5th level shadow blade then run in to booming blade and use your familiar to gain advantage on your attack when outside of darkness.

Start with the 2 levels of pally. Gets you heavy armor (if you get a 15 str) or you don't even need the stat cause when you are done with the 2 you will not be coming back
