    One thing is poke few holes in the bottom of the chick into the cavity so it drains while cooking. All that flavor will add to the steam while stopping all that juice pouring out while removing and cutting the bird.

    Great presentation as always.
    After watching your videos I went out and treated myself to a Ninja Speedi. Going to try my hand at some salmon and rice.
    Thanks again for all your inspiring videos.

    Hi, what level do I cook a half chicken ? I put Do you want spinach on the bottom and then the trays seem too close to the element. So I took the legs off and just placed the tray on top of the quinoa and the spinach and put it on steam and crisp

    Hi James, great video and great explanation for why do this. If you cooked it, you know what’s in it. If I’m in a hurry, I MIGHT buy one already done but that’s few and far between. Good job.

    Hi James, If you get a bigger bird like a 5 to 6 lb, you can always spatchcock it. Also, like with your bird turning in breast side down first, the juices of the bottom half of the chicken will drip into the breast meat making it juicer, then flip over to finish the cook to the internal temp. I cook the chicken on the bottom side up until I reach an internal temp of 140, so most of the heat is blasting on the bottom side which does not have much meat.

      So James, you are my favorite Speedi video maker. This machine is a whole new world of cooking. I want to suggest you make another whole chicken video using the suggestions left. My first chicken just like yours. Great cook but overdone on the top. I then tried cooking breast side down til last 10 minutes, turned over and the bottom was browned beautifully after rotating breast up 10 minutes it also so golden brown no black and your seasoning isn't scorched. Do it again every thing else is perfect!! You Rock

      Roland I so agree cooking the bird upside down is always way more moist 😊 Self bastes!

  • @sueh1091
    @sueh1091 Год назад

    hello - can you start with top of chicken layed as bottom and then 1/2 way through flip it so both sides get some browning??

    Another difference is most of the ready to eat chickens have a sodium solution injected. Cooking yourself you can cook an all natural bird. No antibiotic fed or preservatives added.
