I just bought one a week ago I can't wait to try it and it well no malfunction I used those ammo that they say I fails a lot like the Norma 22 LR but did not experience a malfunction fired around 150 rods. I just love the gun fun to shoot. I attached a Pinty red/green dot laser and it shoots a lot more better

You unboxed with a lot of California information but it came with a 25 round clip or did I miss something. I thought 10 max is in affect

I believe they all come with the same California cancer warning papers to make the manufacturing/packaging processes easier rather than to cater to each individual state's requirements or regulations. Does that make sense?
Yes, it does come with (1) 25/rd magazine. Also, I believe this rifle also breaks a lot of the California laws in regards to their definition of an "assault rifle". I believe though, that Smith and Wesson does make a CA Compliant version.

It comes with a 25 round magazine, not a clip.

California assault rifle ban does not apply to rimfire rifles.

Although rimfire are exempt from the ban . The maximum capacity for any firearm in california is limited to ten rounds.

I ordered and just picked mine up from Bass Pro shop here in Tampa. go to the website and enter the model #. It only took about a week.
