    People complain that it’s too much plastic but this gun is designed to be a lightweight family gun. It’s lightweight and affordable on purpose. Most people are buying these with the idea of their kids shooting it. And a heavy metal gun defeats the purpose.

    I’ve had mine for one year. I exclusively use CCi AR Tactical 22LR ammo. Rifle runs flawlessly - zero problems. Since it’s not broken, I’m not fixing it! I’ll keep that extractor upgraded in mind in case mine develops issues. Love the M&P 15-22. I did up grade the stock, MAGPUL CTR with Butt-Pad + enhanced the pistol grip with “hockey tape” + added a red dot. Hard to beat this rife on a fun per dollar basis. 🤠

    Yep the volquartsen extractor is a plus. Cheap and super effective. I have had mine for a couple months . Great performance. I dont even like resting my ar15 on its mag. Thats just asking for feeding issues. Thise eound popping up issues are related to proper loading of mags. I use a McFadden quick lightnin loader and dont have any of those issues. Never had my bolt not lock open on empty mag. That seemed to happen often. Mag problem ir the fact you were resting on the mag changes angle of follower.. hmmmm something to look at.

    I bought mine a month ago these always have issues jamming however it's an easy fix. 12 bucks for a different extractor and iv never had any issues after installing it. • @oscardelta1257

    The bolt isn't holding open on the last round.fired. I have two of these a gen 1 and a gen 2 the bolt holds open on the last round fired on both. I have 50 mags, 25 for each gun. Ammo brands I used are CCI mini mags, Aguila super extra, Remington golden bullet, and several others. I've never used herters but I dont think it's very good as other have had problems with that brand too.
    I suspect there may be a problem with your bolt catch which is why the bolt is not holding open on last round fired.
    My wife and daughter enjoy shooting these I generally load 20 mags for each one before we go to the range and throw a couple of hundred more rounds in the range bag. I don't like to spend time loading mags while at the range, we like to spend our time shooting instead. I preload all the mags the night before for whatever firearms we plan on taking to the range. Needless to say I have a lot of mags for all of my guns.
    Both of mine have been very reliable with thousands of rounds through them. In fact I didn't even clean my gen 1 one until I shot 2K rounds through it and it didn't have a single malfunction. Carbon was literally caked inside of the upper. It took me forever to clean it...LOL
    The only oil I've put on mine is on the two rails the bolt rides on. Both of mine are completely stock and are very accurate.

    I don't know if it's an issue with the gun, the magazine or resting the mag on the bench, but you should have a last round bolt hold open. That's what the little spike on the follower should be doing, if that helps you troubleshoot it any.

    • @Mr_P_Rockzz

      @@Mr_P_Rockzz Oh totally, it's a super reliable rifle and one of my favorite guns in my collection to shoot. I had just noticed that the bolt wasn't being held open after the last round, which it should be doing. On a completely unrelated note, the "buffer tube" is mil-spec size but for some reason they include a butt stock meant for a commercial size buffer tube so it's a little wobbly. I replaced mine with a mil-spec stock and there is zero free play but it still adjusts smoothly. Something to consider if you ever replace yours.

  • @jkevinf5091
    @jkevinf5091 Год назад +1

    I noticed the hold-open on last shot fired did not work. Was that on purpose or was there a flaw? Mine has the hold open on last shot fired, it makes reload much faster. I use all CCI ammo, subsonic, mini-mag, and stinger. No failures to eject, no stovepipes. I’d check that last round bolt open function. That is one of the pluses of this AR-.22 platform over almost all the others.
