Nice bike. The EFI version comes out next week. I'm going to check it out. Wondering if the EFI bumps up the HP any or possible better fuel range. Thanks for the video.
I don’t think the hp will increase very much but I would bet the fuel economy will increase dramatically. I don’t know for sure but my efi KPR gets fantastic gas mileage. The bike itself is a great fun bike and efi would be a definite improvement, I wish mine had it. Good luck on your purchase and be safe!
What is Efi?

The manual for the 2024 efi version says that this bike takes 1.2L of oil. After a few oil changes for the break in i noticed that its only taking 900ml or so. I have been checking the oil sight glass with the bike level and upright but after looking at the manual I noticed that it says check on a level surface on the stand. I really don’t want to run this bike low on oil. Should I be concerned that I’m running the bike low on oil with only 800-900 ML? Should I be checking the sight glass with the bike leaned over on the stand? What would be the cons of running the motor with too much oil if i put the 1.2L in? What do you think?
@@MrCotto01 Always check the oil level, if you check on the side stand it will be overfull. Too much oil is as bad as too little oil, that’s why you want to make sure you have the proper level in it. How are you making sure it’s level. If you’re bike is off level quite a bit it can affect the amount seen in the glass area. If all looks good after checking it at level surface then I would run the bike for a bit, I mean ride it a bit then park it, let it set for a while and recheck it.
Which do u think is better the efi version or the carb one trying to decide between the kp mini or the kpx 250
Hello Sam, the carb vs efi is really a personal one. Carbs are good for tuning and modifying and once you get the jetting right are usually pretty trouble free. The efi is more constant exact dispersion of fuel resulting in better fuel economy. It is also better suited for today’s ethanol fuel if your bike sits for any period of time, because it’s a sealed system and the fuel gel problem with ethanol is going to be less on efi. With efi your kind of limited to engine modifications, probably just exhaust change and maybe a filter mod. But if you want to just buy it and ride it out of the box I would suggest the efi model. Both the mini and the KPX are great bikes, but completely different in size and riding capabilities. It really depends on what you want in a bike. Hope this helps 😊
@herbiesgarage681 thanks man 💪🏼💯💨💨
Good excellent review I wonder if I put my vm22 off my 212cc what it would do if u were to jet the stock carb what jet u think I will need mabey a 98 main
Thank you! Jetting is a fine tuning of fuel delivery and has many variables. The stock vm22 which is a 26mm just like the stock SS3 carb will probably come jetted pretty close to what you will need. A general rule of thumb is idle to 1/4 throttle is pilot jet. 1/4-3/4 is the needle position and 3/4 to full throttle is the main jet. So I would put the vm22 on if you like that carb better and try it. The stock carb isn’t a bad carb either though. If you start having issues in any part of the throttle then you need to focus on the 3 different changes and apply where needed. Hope this helps, thanks for the comment 👍🏻
Very interested in the bike so you think it would be good for around town up to 50mph? Also that is a nice bag where did you get it?
Hello Spencer, yes it would be a great around town bike. If you ride it as is without modification it will run 55mph pretty decent. And with a little modification (Carb and Muffler) it will maintain 65mph pretty decent. I've had mine up to 72mph. Lifan builds good products and they have been into powersports for a long time. I have 2 Lifan bikes and I plan on getting a third someday. Here's the tail bag I bought off of Amazon www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07K3VLHRQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
I wondered if these bike or like grom or ruckus can be used to do backflip stunt??
I don’t know anything about backflip stunts, other than what I’ve seen on motocross bikes. These bikes are fun to ride and can wheelie pretty easily but that’s about as much as I know about stunting, sorry
Hey where did you get the front turn signal brackets?
I bought them on Amazon, www.amazon.com/LAMPHUS-Off-Road-Horizontal-Mounting-User-Friendly/dp/B01FETT3FO/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?crid=B63FSNEA5K0L&keywords=Off-Road+Light+Mounting+Bracket+Bar+Clamp+Kits+%5B1%22%2F1.5%22%2F1.75%22%2F2%22+Inch%5D+%5BHorizontal+Bar%5D+%5BAluminium%5D+%5B2+Units%5D+Bull+Roll+Cage+Clamps+Mount+For+ATV+UTV&qid=1697652609&sprefix=off-road+light+mounting+bracket+bar+clamp+kits+1+%2F1.5+%2F1.75+%2F2+inch+horizontal+bar+aluminium+2+units+bull+roll+cage+clamps+mount+for+atv+utv%2Caps%2C235&sr=8-2
What gave you that top speed? Was it the new carb or the sprocket upgrade?
Hello, the carb and exhaust is what gives it the little extra boost that it needs in power and the 17 tooth sprocket helps propel it faster. It’s really a combination of everything.
@@herbiesgarage681 thanks for the quick response. One more question what was the top speed stock?
@@SeaSaltCeo completely stock, I think it was about 60mph or 67 on the speedometer, although I don’t remember trying a top speed run that was the fastest I remember going while on a ride with it wide open
Nice setup
Thank you!
What kind of phone holder do you have? Is it any good?
Hello Ryan, this is what I bought, it seems to hold the phone well www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B085DMV7XD?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title
@@herbiesgarage681 thank you. I have the same bike being delivered Tuesday can’t wait. your videos are very informative thank you for that.
@@ryanrandall27 that’s fantastic Ryan, I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. Your welcome, I enjoy doing it
Who did u get ur insurance through
I went through GEICO online, simple easy and cheap
🔥
Thank you!
So the seat is a pain in the ass ( no punn intended ) lol 👍.
You could say that 😂 But then again seat comfort is so subjective, it really depends on the person
What exhaust is that?
I bought the 370mm one www.amazon.com/KAJIMOTOR-Universal-Motorcycle-Exhaust-Muffler/dp/B07R5674XC/ref=sr_1_24?crid=15DWN6UVC037Y&keywords=motorcycle%2Bmuffler&qid=1688769625&s=automotive&sprefix=motorcycle%2Bmuffler%2Cautomotive%2C110&sr=1-24&th=1
If you get the real header exhaust get almost 10mph more stock pipe has a restricted cat in it
I removed the cat out of my exhaust. I have a KPT exhaust on my KPR and I like it. I might go that route on the mini someday too. Thanks
The gas gauges have never been
Accurate
Yeah, I tried messing with it. If it was consistent wrong instead of sporadic I could probably fix it. I think the float is too big and rubbing inside the tank.
