1970s TV was BUILT for spoofing! To be fair, I DID like Galactica (as a kid) but I can see the show's faults from 20miles today... The 1978 version was STILL miles beyond the abomination that aired on SyFy in the 2000s, though. RIP Lorne Greene, Richard Hatch, Jon Colicos...
