Boy does this bring back memories! Used to watch this at my Grandma's house. I remember watching Creature from the Black Lagoon, Godzilla, Rodan, Frankenstein meets the Wolfman...sure miss the good old days.
When I was 9, he showed 2 of my drawings. He really liked kids' art. I loved his show! What a blast from the past.🤗 The Godzilla movies were my favorite.
This was so 1970s -80s Cleveland and all of the competition was entertaining! I think Cleveland was the shock theatre capitol of the world. We had Hoolihan and Big Chuck and the ghoul on late nights and Superhost on Saturday afternoon. I was just a tike in the mid 70s but would stay up until the stations went off the air. They would play horror movies til 2:30am and send us to sleep with nightmares. Thanks for the memories.
Every Saturday on Channel 43 out of Cleveland.....loved this as a kid. Besides all the classic monster movies this show introduced me to the Marx Bros., Three Stooges, Abbott and Costello and the Little Rascals.
So happy I found this video! Every Saturday was spent watching Superhost with my grandmother. Loved the first hour of the Three Stooges before the movie. I think I’ll look up this Frankenstein movie to watch today 🎥
Oh boy, brings back tons of memories. I remember the "Prize Movie" with John Lanigan, Big Chuck and Lil John, and the Ghoul as well. Kung Fu Theater was my favorite though. I have hundreds of the old school karate flicks on DVD and still watch them religiously to this day!!!!
Originally from DC, but grew up in Pittsburgh. Even though there were only about 6-8 total channels at that time, we had plenty of local monster movie showcases to choose from already (Science Fiction Theater, Ghost Host, & Chiller Theatre). But when cable TV came to the area, the first 2 additional channels we got were WUAB 43 Cleveland & WOR 9 NY/NJ. This added 3 more monster movie shows to the mix: Mad Theater, Spaced Out Films, & Fright Night.
I remember those Saturday afternoons, and remember him giving out cool prizes for your color cartoons you'd send it and he'd post 'em up on the board? I remember him giving away a kids motorized red car, I wanted that car so bad I must of sent in 6 color cartoons lol never saw any of my cartoons posted but still loved the show. that and Big Chuck and Hoolihan later Big Chuck and Lil' John...the good ol days.
yeah man they're gone for good! the local TV host who you used to see at Value King or Giant Eagle shopping alongside your parents has been replaced. big corporate channels and cgi,I miss ohio in the 70's and 80's. peace to you my friend and God bless.
@@rudyiraheta80 Sorry for the late reply. I did do that years ago and found it. It's called Clinkerated Chimes from the "Musically Mad" album (1959). They took a segment and just played it on loop.
Why would vacation at my grandmother's house in the summertime in Akron I used to occasionally watch super-host but was much more into big Chuck Houlihan and big Chuck Lil John
used to live next to marty sullivan. he was the worst neighbor ever always very creepy and loved to stare at you from over his fence complained everytime kids played in front of our house he wasnt the sweet kooky guy you see here a total weirdo in real life
