Brilliant first video Attila!! Very nice editing and storytelling! The technique with the dry brush is awesome for getting that rock texture! Will have to try this when I make cement pots!! Looking forward to your future videos!!
Beautiful artwork, very inspiring! Loved your How to build a Japanese greenhouse video, cant wait to see more of what's to come. Have a good day man :)
I had been looking for this video since I saw you and Adam use this pot for the cypress forest. This video answers a lot of questions. When I first saw the pot in the before mentioned video, I thought it may have been made using cloth and concrete. You have a real zen factor Atilla.
Saw you already a few times in Adam's videos and was wondering if you would start your own channel, I'm so glad you did ! Immediate subscription ! The slab you made is amazing, I'm going to try to make one myself, I love being creative.
I didn't know where you were going with it but the results were incredible. That looks incredibly expensive. The way you laid the moss was also ingenious. I would be so happy if i could successfully copycat your beautiful design
@@FangornBonsai i ended up showing the wife the video and we will attempt it together. She is the artist, so a lot of it is on her plate, lol and yes i think you made the process very clear. Thank you. Best wishes.
The final product looks beautiful and natural! Clearly it took a lot of work but it was definitely worth the effort. Looking forward to what you do next!
Exceptional work. I’ve been interested in cement/concrete art for years. My only concern is using this material in horticultural practice because of the alkaline nature. I have used cement pots that I have soaked in water for months and it seems like the low ph remains for months despite soaking in water. My tap water is already alkaline due to additives(chloramines) I know microbes will produce acid in the long term but plant health and ph are pretty important. Any thoughts? Thank you for a great video!!!
Thanks a lot! My thoughts about using cement pots: That they can have a slightly alkaline pH, which may affect the soil acidity over time. Some trees prefer slightly acidic soil, so you may need to adjust your soil mixture accordingly. I have also using water seal on my pots, 2-3 layers just in case, so far so good ☺
You said you used cement for the slab and then used concrete for the rest. Did you put any aggregate in the concrete when mixing for the pot , or just sand and concrete? Really liked the project hoping to make my own!
What a fabulous piece!! I can't believe it ONLY took a week for you to make that! Just stunning results! I love doing dry brushing. I think there is so much artistic control you have with adding thin layers one at a time. Just beautiful! So happy you started a channel with all that talent!
Definitely worth every minute! What an awesome first video, I am so glad I clicked on and watched your greenhouse build, that's led me down the rabbit hole and into your Wonderland. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely awesome Atilla Mate I’ve been watching you on notion bonsai. Mate you are like a kindred spirit to me. Total respect for your creative ability mate. I, like you like to make unusual but super cool pots although I’m probably a bit crazier than most 😂😂 I really hope we can become good friends over your RUclips journey brother 👊 I can’t wait to see what you create next. I’ve just subscribed and I’m going to share on my community now and great the word out on your channel. I hope that is okay? You may get some more subs views etc. great video Atilla respect mate 👊
It is an honer bud. You are amazing. Do not think that i deserve this 😁 Thank you so much for your comment, means a lot to me. Keep grow and learn together my friend 😉
The sand/rock texture on the slab turned out amazing! Been looking for this kind of technique for a while to make realistic rock textures. Now I know how. Do you think a rocky shaped pot could be made by adding concrete to a deeper sand box?
Really impressive piece and very inspiring. What do you use for the dry brushing please, it looks really effective in giving that desired texture. Great work and thanks for sharing your method.
@@benbseattle How cool is this ☺ Started to watch your videos like 4 years ago! Another good reason to visit the West Coast of the States one day! Would love to see your garden, and Ryan`s obviously ☺
Is this the first video you made for your channel? It’s perfect! Very impressive! It is all there: good filming, clear narrative, correct use of voiceover, editing, music, a distinct personal style… Did you have previous experience?
Incredible and inspiring! What is your concrete mix and have you experimented with hypertufa? 1/3 portland cement, 1/3 peat moss, 1/3 perlite or vermiculite…. I have so many new ideas now so thank you!!
I really love it. I spend most of my time with Concrete trying to make it smooth :-) I do have a question… How do you work out for drainage? I didn't see any holes. Also an observation I do the dry brush technique with my fingers.
Hey. I did considered the tree species before building a pot, also as it is slanted the water will just run off . Will use Swamp Cypress trees which they can even stand in water ☺
i came here because of @bonsaicrazy mention of your channel. I have only made one stone pot and certainly nothing like this. which is absolutely stunning. I also like your channel name, love LOTR P(^0^)p. You have definitely earned my sub 😎

Lets do that 😊
Fantastic piece of art, look forward to your next post. Did you seal the pot to make it weather proof?
Yeah, so sorry, i just missed that part, i did yes i have used water seal on it and a put like 3-4 coats ;) Thanks a lot! Means a lot!
what concrete did you use? Any sand? The mix looks very smooth
Hey Bob. Just cement+water and cement colour 😉
This Bowl looks Great but how Heavy it has become ?
Thanks! Roughly 25Kg
Uistekend! 😊
Have you had any issues with the concrete getting too hot for the plants?
Thanks! Not at all ☺
how do you protect the trees from the cement?
Hey. The cement does not do much to the trees, so no much protection needed ;)
Did you add the sand to the mixture?
Hey bikeman, only cement, water and concrete colour 😉
i came here because of @bonsaicrazy mention of your channel. I have only made one stone pot and certainly nothing like this. which is absolutely stunning. I also like your channel name, love LOTR P(^0^)p. You have definitely earned my sub 😎
Thanks a lot 😊 Did take a while to come up with the name, but i think it worth it, as i am a big fan of Tolkien's work 😊
Don't need any drainage holes?
As the slab is slanted, the excess water will flow off, also we will plant swamp cypress on it which they are water loving trees 😉
How much cement for the whole project?
1 bag did the job-25kg
@ thank you
❤
Boom boom👍🦘🇦🇺
Why is it every body plays stupid music its annoying
Quick question why no holes ?
