Wow Jelle, what a wonderful, creative piece. The finished landscape hlooks so unattainable, and yet everything used was very simple. Thank you for sharing xx
Thank you so much! I guess that is the intent of my channel: Show that, with a bit of patience and creativity, it is possible to make really cool things yourself!
@@GrowingBonsai Only 34 out of my 178 videos are Bonsai, but I'm getting there. I had "complaints" that my content was a bit too Bonsai focused and could I talk about some other things please :D xx
Wow!! It came out absolutely fantastic! It must be so satisfying to look at after all the work you put into it! Having it looks so good immediately after planting! Well done Jelle!!
Great, artistic work creating the rock, but if the trees are Picea glauca " alberta conica", which I suspect they are, then they've not much hope progressing as bonsai. Cheap, widely available material for content creation I suppose.
@@GrowingBonsai Apology- I was feeling grumpy earlier. I enjoy your content. The Alberta conica, if that's what they are, are very reluctant to back- bud. Branches will completely die off if wired at the wrong time of year. They don't hold their styling well- branches which are wired downwards have a tendency to curl upwards. New shoots form in whorls. On the whole, very fussy. That's not to say it can't be done and that you can't do it, but show us the composition again in a few year's time to dispel the negativity. There are better species and cultivar of Picea to work with, although not as freely available or as cheap.
I don't get your reluctance, but they make quite fine bonsai. Maybe you had trouble with them but i and many others I know have used them quite successfully. Bonsai on !
Hoe verzin je het?! Erg creatief en een compleet kunstwerk. Laat hem in de toekomst aub nog een keer zien voor de ontwikkeling van het geheel. Mijn complimenten.
What a great addition to the landscape challenge, very nice!!
Thank you very much! Turned out ok, right?
That is brilliant Jelle. What a great idea 👍
Noce to hear! Time to tey it too!?

@@PumpkinBecki you could have one for bonsai and a general private one? Bonsai people generally watch bonsai rather than prrsonal stories?
Interesting and unique artistic approach to creating a beautiful bonsai landscape. I like it !

Very interesting, and informative, Jelle. Haven’t you done a similar plant in the past? Very cool! Would love to see an update. Rock on!

Hi Jelle, absolutely great! Like it. How many hours did you spend for this creation?
I think I worked it in maybe 8 sessions over winter. Probably 30-40 hours
What type of trees are those? Very nice!
Those are Picea
Brilliant as always! Question though how often do these need to be re-potted/root pruned etc ?
I am hoping, never. A friend of mine has one of these, not repotted for a decade. So I am hoping this will be for me too.

Why not, if I may ask?
