- So we woke up this morning and said “what are we going to do today?”. Didn’t have a clue. So we just decided to hop on a subway, go elsewhere in the city, and have a deep look around. Sometimes it works …

Hi, I'm Rick and I (usually) live in a bus. Yup, I'm one of "them". My passion is living life just outside of the proverbial box. Travel, adventure, wonder, and all that. (Yea, I'm a little bit ADHD and I kinda need constant stimulation).
Location(s): ISTANBUL TURKEY

Nikki, your hair is beautiful! 😊
25:56 I don't speak Spanish, but when I tell Spanish/Mexicans (almost any one really) my name - especially the spelling of it - they just assume I do.
Thank you, its my last attempt before doing silver/gray, its almost time.
Im happily surprised to be pegged as a Spanish speaker.
welcome turkiye hope you enjoy
best way to travel
It is tombs belongs to high level servicemen of the king or from royal family (sultan family)
Thank you so much, we walk so much and find suprices and don't get to research.
No man you need to go to Çanakkale, İzmir, Muğla, Denizli, Afyon, Ankara... İstanbul is just a cosmopolitan city; normal.
We need to come back and experience the Northeast.
We made it to Antalya, if you have suggestions for us, we would love to hear them.
@@nursynikki I don't know how accurate it would be for me to give advice, it's all about your interests. what is your goal; to get to know the Turks, to enjoy the sea, to learn about the civilizations of Anatolia, to taste different flavors...
Yes, all of the above. LOL! We're into nature, culture and customs, food, but mostly the people. Any opportunity to see the commonality and the differences drive us to learn more about others and ourselves.
@@rickhiggins Then I strongly recommend you to go to Afyon, there are hardly any tourists, it is difficult to find English speakers, but the food, the history, the texture... Go to the Victory Museum, climb the castle of Afyon (a castle used by ancient anatolian civilizations, roma, seljuk, ottoman), see the statue of Utku, feel the war of independence of turks to your bones
Hey Rick! Do you handle editing yourself or have you hired someone? I’m an editor and would love to discuss, if you’re interested
I do my own, and strangely it's my favorite part. I love the creativity ... and the ability to put the headphones on and escape for a few hours. LOL!
@@rickhiggins That's great! if you need any help in the future, feel free to let me know.
...de nada, Rick is cool, pero cuando se pone con la lloradera......
Good luck to both of you....btw, I believe Turkey is cheap...everywhere but Istanbul...watch the Drew Binski videos of when he invited his parents to Turkey, and all the cheap towns he visited.
We just landed in Antalya Turkey and if yesterday's grocery trip is any indication ... this is going to be a lot cheaper city than Istanbul. There is still hope for Turkey! :-)
@@rickhiggins ...Rick, how do u film? Phone, 360 camera, or gopro? Also, do u use a phone gimball? Insta 360, or DJI?
Would love to know.
Thanks--Angel.
...instead of RH or the PWanderer...how bout including Nicky...and include more of her...or at least a little...just ao u know....stop whining, and give us more Nicky.

U becha'ur sweet ass I'm cuban.
Gracias! Todavía no me encontrado con un Cubano/a aquí en Turquía, gracias por participar en nuestras locuras. 😅
Ahem, well ... LOL! ... when we get back to the states I'm getting a dual microphone setup so she will be mic'ed up every time we're out and wandering, so you will both see and hear her in all her glory.
@@rickhiggins ...why wait 'till u get back...buy a 15/20 euro one there in Europe, and mic her in. BTW, don't get defensive, the content is great, but it's time for u to step it up a notch and start doing scripts, or at least bullet points, of what ur going to talk about and film. Ur past the picking up the camera and going out for a walk n a babble. Quality, not quantity.
Be safe!
