  • The TFL Cheetah is an amazing platform for an RC boat. With speeds capable of 80-100mph, the Rear Drive Struts needed improvement.
They would always move from their original true setting, so I came up with this combo that seems to have fixed the issue.
Using the TFL strut support paired with the stock strut barrel.
I also decided to increase the Cap Packs, the Stock Caps are 2250uf, Now they are 12,500uf made by Atomic capacitors. The over quality of them is definitely top shelf! We'll see how they perform in the next upcoming videos!
    Hopefully, my videos help you!

Bro, good solution… seen the use of regular speed master square strut like used on a hydro or mono… its very sturdy and extends the prop 3” rear of the transom… not as scale looking but quite functional

@markgambetta1704 It needs a bigger body of water. But I've compared it to the Dynamite GPS & it's within 1mph of it & exactly the same as my gopro gps. I've got the New WFly X9S coming, it allows for a bigger battery in the remote 8v instead of 6v. I'll do a comparison on it next month

I have a TFL 40” cheetah , with 6s pacs, qs8 plugs 1715 abc cleavers where I rounded the prop tips like dasboata. I live in south Florida with 85 degree water!
Abc hi rake Props carry the bow, and hits hard BUT, My issue is LVC cut out after about 4 laps of easy cruising part trigger. All settings are default with no lvc, and 15 degree timing, Temps within reason except for the Esc caps read 140ish degrees. My thoughts is the seaking 180s seem “under capped” I ordered atomic cap pacs as well… hope they fix the cut outs

@stevesocransky6341 seaking 180s have a max peak amp of 360. For comparison the Spektrum 160 firma has a max peak of 900+ amps. Mine do the exact same thing with big props (amp cut when voltage gets around 3.95v.) This Cap test will definitely tell the tale if it helps or not. Also if your running the 2000kv SSS motor, they have it listed as D Wind. So I'd run timing on 0 & see if that helps. Next I'm swapping motors!

I bought these same cap packs and i haven't ran it yet but I left the original caps in and just added to them with the new pack. Do you think that will cause a problem

@@jimstone5339 it shouldn't hurt anything. It was just easier for me to use the same area to tie mine into
