I built the Zipkits r4. I've gotten 78mph .

Balance is key on anything rotational. When I was hot and heavy flying helicopters I checked and balanced everything. I would not only balance horizontally but vertically also. I went as far as weight and matching blade center balance. Talk about being anal. Lol

talked to the most knowledgeable person, Jim Schaffer he gave me this formula Stress relieving first, then harden/tempor the prop Stress relieving 340°f for 15-20 min, let cool then harden/tempor 450-650 for 40 min. You need 2 steel prop racks one for the keln/oven/forge and a cool rack. When you pull the prop out the keln immediately place the prop on the cool rack, the cool pin cools the prop from the inside/hub out increasing its hardness.. 1500°f to soften the prop (forgot the amount of time 5-15 minutes, I think?)

I just picked one up a few days ago and was curious how yours turns left with the extended rudder because I see you mostly going right in your videos and was wondering if i should do it as well. With one hour of play time with it ,I hit 63 on 6s and seems like a great boat.

You don’t do the firma with remote. You do it with the set button, real easy.

Always impressed with your building skills, the Impulse in its final form will be a missile. The rudder on the Genesis looks odd, its like it doesn't belong on this hull and the weight that far starboard is no wonder it flips, i know you are stuck with where the steering shaft comes through the hull and the design of the transom but is there not a another style that has less mass.

Looks damn good, just finished my 21GT nitro. I found during body work and paint work i used oversized Qtips stuff in the boom tube holes works great for keeping stuff out of them.

I run those 4 channel receivers and I've range tested them pretty damn far and I've not had one glitch. I was surprised. And that was with the antenna down. I told you about that stinger. It will only get worse and you'll keep adding trim. It's just a bad design. I run my esc up front as well but if it balances out then it shouldn't matter. I love the purple and i say 58mph

You can velcro your receiver to the bottom of the inside of the lid and then take that little antenna out the lid

They are great for speed but they are tail heavy I put my esc up front to balance it better.

Dominator is a. Superior boat.. Especially with the side by side with the tfl outer limits... They're both great boats.. And fun.. But the Dominator is definitely superior in stability and control. Plus she handles the chop waaayyy better Great video boys!

Really been enjoying the collaboration vids! TFL outerlimits step bottom is like ole reliable for me, get 48mph stock on 4s with octura 442/3. I don’t touch it as it’s the most reliable boat I own! I know the dominator is very fast. Got too many boats to tweak set ups on.

I ran my r4 outrigger today, it's same size and build as yours, man it runs nice. My son was running a shrimp outrigger he just finished and we had a little chop but the r4 ran like it didn't even bother it. Really smooth running boat, just the hardware sucks in my opinion. I did set my turn fin so that it sits square to the body and not flush with the sponson. It makes for a smoother turn.

Great job quality, craftsmanship, question, whenever I use epoxy it starts out shiny then as soon as it gets wet, it dulls out. I have tried several different manufactures. Do you clearcoat it thanks. Keep up the good work.

Having the thrust bearing between the motor end cap & the coupler stops the prop thrust/flex shaft pushing the motor shaft/rotor back inside the motor. This helps take load of off the rear bearing in the motor.

What's the nitro fuel for?? U hiding another one we don't know about? Lol
