First off i appreciate the time you put in to make these videos. Not everyone can do it. Second, I've ran this setup in my pursuit which is a very comparable boat to this one and all i can say is that the esc is weak. I have put in a ztw 200a and all my problems are gone. I'm not saying that zee batteries are great but I've been running the same ones for 3 years now. But there are better batteries out there. Thanks for the videos

esc doesn't like the soft packs. Soft = weak

You’re running too much weight forward plus you’re running a lifting prop plus weight forward will cause nose steering. If you put a OSE tenshock 2020 kv motor ESC in front of the motor 2 SMC4400 batt next to the ESC & abc 1814/15 3B prop this boat easily run 60

Need to rent an escavator and make that pond 4x larger.

Probably will not power cut if you run a SMC lipo those ZEE batts are crap

Watching u a long time and….I hate this pond, in a test give the hull a chance to stretch out! sorry the boat is always turning that means on a mono the hull is always digging . You ‘re smart, don’t turn your channel into the bad decisions and smoke show. Love your accomplishments and good taste in boats and hardware combinations- shrimp, impulse… I live in south Florida, run year round, n have 15 fe, and 3 gas “high level” , all hull types of boats so I have some experience/ knowledge. You wanna grow your channel?! Make better content to show off your boats

pretty sure the seakings dont cut by heat they cut by amp draw. some ESC's have current limiters. You have to prop down.

That is a smoooth little boat, good looking too. Put a straight turn fin on her, easier to adjust, the boat won’t fight it so much.

I've been waiting for this boat to make a comeback. And she is looking significantly better in the water from the last run. I got some perfect turn fins for this 17 inch hydroplane. Straight and bent Mad lizard designed specifically for my J&R MARINE H17 You can do some fine tuning to get her bow to not lift as much by dropping your strut.. You shouldn't need the weight next time. Contact me if you'd like to try one of our turn fins.

with an ESC flat and thin like that, why not lay it flat to the bottom of the fuselage so it's cooler from the water?

Looks good, my only critique would be i would not have stained the bottom section but would of just sealed it with epoxy and left the natural wood color like the rest of the hull. the purple top matches perfect and balances ot the color scheme perfect. nice job as always.

You get the double bonus of some positive airflow on the CG, As you have gone that far ,i would have glued it to a flat board and taken a mould of the thing , plenty of spares and some sales from the boat gang 😀

Lehner motors rock. I ran 3060/3080 in my big 10S boats.

Gap seems a little tight. Seemed slow for that setup. Trash the Kraken and put in a Raider 150 or SK180 and call it a day. Thats the same setup I have in my 21 and it runs 55 PClass

Set your high and low speed at 2.5 turns out and go from there. You will be close. When you run it at the water adjust your high speed first, then adjust low speed needle. Make sure you have removed the idle stop screw.

You’ve got a really slick build there;awesome. I’ve only got one other comment to make…..you’re scaring the crap out of me every time you touch that prop while the power is still on! It will be really hard to build another boat while missing your fingers . Please be more careful 😬

That long flex cable will wind up a lot under load. Give it more room for shrinkage. The instructions call for 1/4”. I don’t believe you have an electrical problem as much as a mechanical problem

Beautiful boat bud!! You did a great job with that paint job! Looks nice and tidy inside as well! Sorry this happened to you and after reading the comments I see what they are talking about. We have all made that error! On my BJ42 one time I pushed the drive dog into the bushing, and it fused itself together!! I have never seen it happen twice. The flex cable "could have been the culprit" but without any Data Logs it's all gonna be a guessing game. Some will be easy to see what went wrong but the actual reason we will never know! Funny did a run today with one of my hydros has the same thing I was leaving a 5 mil gap and it would pull in the shaft , and my mates boat blew his capacitor

I put my esc up front on zipkits 33 fe it was a heavier esc than the kraken a bit like a XL2s and that got the balance better closer to 6040 rather than 50/50 it un loads the prop a bit as well. I run the tp4060 1650 with high magnetism on 8s but it’s only 1650 kv . on that boat I got 112 mph abc 1820 by dasboata then I put all that gear in a carbon fibre rigger it has even less Wright on the prop and gets 122 mph

Been following for a while. You definitely have some drive, ability, a bit of addiction….. but man every time I see the boats on the pool table, I’m like… let’s have some beer’s and play some pool! Edit.. just finished washing the full video and I’m totally convinced that you should definitely keep a good spacing so the shaft has pleanty of room to compress. I’ve lost tons of shafts.

Nice boat ... I hate to say this but you've been running these boats Way long enough to know you need to put at least 2 mm or more gap on those flex shafts the more power you run the more that things going to twist up and then you showed us about the movement on that motor TP motor and you're going to get the that little washer bearing to go on the motor shaft when I saw that I ordered them right away two of my boats to go on the flex shaft, before the stinger,but I haven't got to test some yet, because of the weather, the biggest motor I have is a 3660,,2600kv.. when I only put a 1 mm gap on it one time it shredded the Teflon washer you are hardly had any gap on that motor has got tons of power twisting up it just popped those cops and probably a second pulling all kinds of current to get that thing to twist... Boating is fun kind of sucks when you have to learn the hard way.. always full triggerrrrr
