I think a moon is Luna-speak for a month. That's how long it takes the moon to do one full cycle through its phases, is from full to full. If that's the case, Sunset Shimmer has been in the other world for 2 and a half years.

why do people complain about a pony loving a human? Most people who hate Flash just love Twilight. So its okay for real humans to love fictional ponies but not fictional pony to love fictional humans!?..... I'm looking into this too much
It's mostly the fact is that Flash is the stereotypical guy in every highschool drama and they don't even interact too much and she already has a crush on him. I don't love Twilight, but I have Flash. His character is undeveloped and is just some love interest for the movie. He lacks character apart from being Twilight's love interest and also the fact that we meet him in the human world and not first in Equestria is really annoying because Twilight doesn't even know his personality that well. Just my opinion though.
