YOB is probably my favorite band, and this album was the first I really listened to a lot. Great stuff, would recommend to everyone their entire discography. Atma and The Unreal Never Lived are musts, Clearing the Path to Ascend is my favorite album of all time (so far)
If you haven't already, I hope you get the chance to see them live. One of the best live experiences I've had. As good as they are on album, they were meant to be heard live.
It's a tough call since they're all so good, but this is probably my fave Yob album. the title track is just magestic and the artwork perfectly conveys the mood of the music.
when you just need to purge your being of dross.. and yearn for the cleansing and reaffirming sound of pure HEAVY in its purest musical form........ YOB........
I was in a band with Mike Scheidt in 1987 when he was 16 and I was 17. He was more eclectic and I was more mainstream Shred and Hard Rock/Metal. He sang on my first original and played bass, I play lead. I believe this is the earliest available recording of Mike Scheidt Vocals. Dachte bei den Abos , hörtse mal...zum Schnitzel und den Pommes, unerwartet, komplett durchgehört. Satt, zufrieden, immer gefreut, dass die Mukke bockt... Danke, lecker Set! Ernsthaft!? Geiles Teil! Thx for your music!

Greyy Prepare the ground gets me so pumped
I've only become a fan after Clearing the Path, so all this other stuff is completely new to me. I'll have to check it out eventually.
I really feel like Yob is very spiritual, meaning it has an introspective effect on me. Phenomenal band. 'Marrow' is my favorite track of theirs.
If you haven't already, I hope you get the chance to see them live. One of the best live experiences I've had. As good as they are on album, they were meant to be heard live.
Yob is unreal, I can't agree more, they are easily one of my most favorite bands from the 2000s, so good.
Burning The Altar is such a beautifully crushing track. Best way to open this massive album.
i literally cried when i heard that main riff.
one of.... if not THE. .. (to me) greatest, most important bands musically on the face of the earth today.....
100%. I dont have any tatts, and have no grà to get one, but I'm actually considering getting the YOB logo on my back!!
A pure sonic wall of noise for the senses, this album kicks ass
This is not just unbelievable! This is celtic frost unbelievable!
I thought this was my favorite YOB album, until I heard all of the rest of them...
I just found out about this band, I'm so grateful and am completely blown away!!
Than k you for not saying you "discovered" them. :) Great, aren't they?
@@barclayv8282 haha, you're welcome I guess. What would be the problem for you with saying discovered instead of found out?

I always underrated this band... I’m a shithead. Three guys can produce a wall of sound: this is fucking great music, pure feelings! I love YOB
I LOVE THE HELL OF THIS ENTIRE ALBUM! But track number 2 is my favorite oh maaaaaaaaaaan
this shit has SUCH good atmosphere.
the first song's main verse riff has SO MUCH PAIN behind it.
SO MUCH.
haven't felt it this hard since early Crowbar.
To sorta quote Granny Clampett, I mean Jeff Sessions: “ Good people do not down vote YOB.”
Nice album!
Silence of Heaven smells like early Melvins Stuff...nice!

Great at every speed on RUclips.
