If you have any requests for Megadrive, SNES or Gameboy VGM you'd like edited in this way or other ways, let me know!
A quick notice on why some of the PSG notes are "incorrect". They are technically correct as far as synthesia is displaying them, however, synthesia has no ability to display pitch bends which sonic music uses a lot. The psg channels closely match the other 2 channels near to them so you can see which notes are bending and which ones aren't.
I dont care of it's incorrect or not. Its really good.
I was actually going to mention this, but I'm glad you took the time to explain it! Thanks for putting in the effort on all of this!
@CreepimusGaming You could use your ears.
I actually made an arrangement of this song using Foobar to deconstruct, so I was using my ears for every note. After a while, you get used to it.
1:57 sounds like music Vegas Dream for NES
I wanna know whats the bpm tho
We often forget how much musical talent goes into these old game compositions
There's a reason why they're classics; they're well made, even with the technical limitations!
@@nebulatheowl Maybe even BECAUSE of the limitations! I've wanted to put together a music course looking at the NES and Genesis (among others) as instrument and/or specific ensembles. The nature of limited voices makes me think of string quartets and chamber ensembles, and there's even an element of conducting involved.
masato nakamura is a genius
Thank you for giving me more songs to practice on my keyboard.
The funny thing is that I could never hear the little note at 2:45 until a few years ago when I found some higher quality rips of the song. For whatever reason, any mp3 files and even on the TV the sound would drown out that little extra bit to the point it could hardly be heard but hearing the clearer tracks it just tops it so perfectly.
same
You're doing amazing work and this type of deconstruction examples be a powerful resource for musicians

3:29 recreating a song moment so i need this

Thanks for another one of these types of videos. Love em. But you have to do one for Streets of Rage 2! Especially Never Return Alive! Pretty please this time?
I always love your videos dude!

The special stage has the same story as all of the present and future tracks; there's nothing to deconstruct, everything's one track.
