It is a classic. You can't go wrong with a half cab. I also lace up my shoes. I haven't worn vans in the last 2 years. I have found the Adidas Tyshawn's to be the best shoe for me but I would definitely skate the Cabs again. Nice session and I appreciate the video.
Hey! Great review! I just bought a pair of these. I have a question that has nothing to do with the shoe review😅. I get my ankles injured a lot and I've been thinking of buying an ankle brace, do you find them to restrict your movements?
I feel your pain. I'd definitely recommend wearing an ankle brace if you're getting back into skating after an injury. I'd also recommend doing physio or exercises to strengthen your ankle. It gets weak and can sprain easier after you've already sprained it. The brace will restrict movement for sure, but you can still skate.
A lot of people might disagree with me but I don't like the way these look. I just don't get why the ankle looks so fat compared to other mid tops. They do look a bit better once you have them on ngl

Hey man idk if youll see this or not but now that theyre discontinued as the pros, what is as close a comfort and feel replacement from Vans currently. the half cab pros were the best fitting shoes ive ever had and I cant find a good replacement since

I just got these at first they were kinda bulky n big but now their broken in and feel great , i came from the sk8 high regulars without the fat insole so thats probably why
Does anyone know when the half cab pros usually (or ever) go on sale? $70 is a fairly steep price for me to pay for a pair of shoes and I'm wondering where I can snag a deal on them. Any recommendations?

They still make the Skate Half Cab :)

Half Cabs rarely if not ever go on sale. I would check Vans outlet stores or Facebook marketplace.
