    Let the haters hate. Fact is John and his staff are great. I showed up looking for a certain driver, they fit me for a cheaper driver that was just flat better for me and its worked out great for my game. I showed up at the wrong time, they worked me in even though it was my mistake. John and his nephew both saying they were not pro's gave me some good advice on my swing, which made me want to seek out a lesson. Fact is when I walked in there I was around 180 to 220 on a good one when I first came in. Now after my fitting and lesson I average about 260 and every once in a while I catch one up near 300. Worth every penny and would send anyone who wants to get better to see John and the crew. From mid 90's to mid 80s is proof for me

    Haters are gonna hate! I Love this Channel and I Appreciate all that you do! I would Love to see the one length wedge video! It's been on my mind for a while. I always seem to push my wedges to the left, but once I get to a 9 iron it's straight as an arrow! I'll be looking forward to that one! Thanks Again!

    Well done! You handled the jack wagon haters perfectly. Your also right about shaft fitting. I’m a senior and after a complete fitting was put into an x-stiff….it just a process. Keep up the great content and it would be great fun to see you in the straight jacket!

    I like the idea of thinking outside the box. Conventional thinking is just a guide, not a truism.
    A friend of mine has a 90 mile / hour driver club head speed. Convention says he should be in a regular shaft. But, he puts so much side spin that the straightest and farthest combination for him is a TSI 3 set to 9 degree with an extra stiff shaft. Nobody would ever start there with him, but because of spin that combination works best for him.
    By the way, on the other hand, I have been fitted multiple times and every time I fit in the standard settings. Always.
    So, yes go ahead and throw in a curve ball. What's the harm!!

    Thanks guys. Best wishes on a safe and successful new year. I have a relatively new driver (Ping G410).....in general with a relatively new driver (just over 1.5 years old) would you recommend a new club or retrofit? I was custom fit for this driver but I think my delivery has changed

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  2 года назад

      Really good question, the jump from the 410 to the 425 wasn’t a big jump, so if anything I would say a simple retro fit would be the way to go to kick the can down the road. Now in regards to why you may want to or need to change shafts would simply come down to two key things. One speed, if you are swinging faster and I’m talking north of 7mph then you may want to get a new shaft. The other thing would be if you changed your release, and I’m talking about your wrist. If you go from a wristy type of swing to more of tug or pull on the handle very fast transition then this would also be a good reason to swap out your shaft…

    I’ve loved (and have played with) my Ping ISI beryllium copper iron since I bought them new in 1998. As much as I love them, I can’t help but feel I’m missing out on the performance of newer technology. My question is this: would putting modern shafts on them give me the best of both worlds (newer technology with a club head I love)? If so, how should I go about selecting a shaft? Should I just retire them and upgrade? Thank you!

    • @SwingFit
      @SwingFit  2 года назад +1

      Such a good question, in this situation I would say that the head is the lionizing factor here and if you just swapped out the shaft the only thing you might see is a little tighter dispersion and grouping but that would be to the extent. So I would say look into the Mizuno line as it really does offer some if the softest feels out there and it also packs a really good punch.

    What's your thoughts on Second Swing? I had a bad experience at Club Champion and Second Swing is near me

    • @SwingFit

      @@SwingFit ok thanks I'm in Wisconsin and it's a little drive for me. My local shop pushes Taylormade cause that's what they get money per club they sell. I went in looking for a used driver like a year old and he only brought in a M6 and that's it. I got fitted for a putter at Club Champion and there was no communication when my club would be done and my fitter said he would give me an update 4 weeks after order and I got nothing. I also went with the most experienced fitter at that club champion location as well..
