funny you mentioned the effort level of 10 being a split rib, i had to take about 3 months off because i did a 6 day stretch of very long and intense range sessions...won't be making that mistake again haha... especially after watching this video
It is amazing how many have separated a rib in this game! Brandt Snedeker, Mike Weir, Rory, and so many more! Strain and effort are the enemy of the golf swing!
personally I love the wedge and warm up often with it and use it a lot with students for chipping and bunker shots as you need to use momentum for all those shots; the middle is the 7 iron and a good stepping stone to the driver for sure!
Thanks for pointing out that you can't have your hands the same distance from your body with the driver as you would a wedge. I made that mistake last weekend thinking it would stop the ball from going left on every drive and it just made it worse, and I didn't know what to do to correct it during play.
I work the ball in both directions; my swing is as wide as it can potentially be and the arms are as free as they can be; which makes for nice wide finishes with high hands!
Right on William! we have a redline in our bodies just like race cars; if we gave you a nice 1000 HP sports car with summer slicks and place you on a cold and wet track, and told you to floor it, you would be the donut king! But you would not stay on the track! 😝😝😝
That’s probably bc you start turning your shoulders earlier than when you have a more relaxed swing. In the “harder” swings the arms and shoulders start to accelerate as if they are moving from the start together.
@@edu2857 I also swing ( like Shawn talks about) where it feels like I am going to the target which in reality is pulling the club to the left. You have to feel like you are swinging out to the right to hit it straight. So my shoulders are opening way up early and I would have to think my head is moving toward the target instead of staying behind the doorframe. It's really hard to throttle back sometimes when my relaxed effortless strain free swing is carrying it 270 down the middle LOL.

Another top notch video, I love it! Thanks, Shawn and Sav!!
Thanks Adam! Talk to you soon!
Thanks Sav for the discount.
very excited following your progress. When are you turning Pro?
Great to see that Sav is getting great results 👍🔥🙂
Sure is!👌👍
Amazing Sav. Well done
Thank you! Cheers!
I ought the 7 iron because of Sav. Real feedback, real quick!

Should I start using the 7 iron first? I definitely short circuit my kinetic chain often by going too hard at the ball.

Hey Shawn. Any trips to NJ in the future?
Don’t exactly know when but yes! It will be Connecticut though; in Portland at Chris Cote’s Golf Performance Centre; was perfect over there!

Right on! that is a big one for set up! See “distance to ball with all clubs shawn clement” an oldie but goodie! 😀👍
Shawn do you play a fade? I notice where the club finishes in the follow through and it looks like where mine ends up on a fade

Hi there Shawn. So do you close the driver face with the normal driver or just the lagshot driver? Thanks!
Both! Big Time! See a video called “most overlooked detail with Driver shawn Clement” for a deeper understanding! enjoy!
Thanks Jeffrey, I had the same question.
Is the Lag Shot driver a training aid or can you put it in your bag to use?
Training aid you can hit balls with!
Wow, amazing PB, go Sav.
327! wow!
Love Savs style !
Nice!
Do you prefer this lag shot to the swing impact that you’ve used ( and I have)?
They both serve different purposes; one for G forces (swing caddy) and one for tempo and ball striking
How is it that I can't get a long drive even though I really practice. So please help me with any further information you can thanks Gary Hughes
Hey Gary! see all our “throw the club shawn clement” videos! huge!!!
OK thanks Shawn I will do that @@golflessons
Daaaaaaaang!
I love your videos effortless swing I’am going to give it a try I usually swing 10 trying to kill a ball🏌️♂️ thank you!!
