- The plaintiff was kicked out of her home when she was 13 years old, and she had to raise her baby in foster care. Eventually, the plaintiff got out, became a cosmetologist, and got her life on track. While the plaintiff was in jail, she alleges her former friend stole some of her clothes and personal belongings, so she’s suing. The defendant insists the plaintiff is actually a stripper and that’s how they met, and he denies stealing anything of hers.
out of most of the Mathis cases I’ve watched, I have the upmost respect for her still doing something with her life. I’ll never understand how a mother could do the way hers did; she’s incredible ❤

Judge Mathis seemed aggravated for some reason. Seems like he was trying to catch the plaintiff up in a lie but she stayed calm and just kept explaining it. She presented her case.

I do not like to hear people say “don’t be ashamed you are a stripper” or “being a stripper isn’t a bad thing”. It is BAD when you have children! The environment of a stripper IS NOT for children! A woman takes her clothes off and dances sexually (naked sometime) in front of men is a very shameful thing! But, when you are put into situations beyond your control, you sometimes have to do what you need to do to live and survive! Not all jobs are good, but everyone has bills to pay!

I was very curious to hear about the dad because often times when a young teenage girl gets pregnant, the father of the child is an adult male who has committed statutory rape. I was shocked to see the percentages. It's something that isn't talked about enough.

I have one daughter and I helped raise my nieces and nephews. Bottom line: raising children is a labor of love, but it’s hard work. Even after they’re grown you may have to help them out from time to time or a lot. Sometimes you get the calm well mannered child, sometimes you get the wild child. Barring the child threatening to inflict bodily harm on family members, you deal with it.
Ms. Rodriguez says she works a lot-welcome to real life. Unless you have a trust fund, you working somewhere. Ms. Rodriguez appears to have her act together now, but she admitted to being in foster care until the age of 21-clearly she had issues of her own. I’m not judging her, because I relate to her. However, if we don’t get help, we can pass that unchecked trauma onto our children.
She’s fortunate to have help with her daughter. But in the event you don’t have the village, you still have to be a parent, even when it’s hard. We don’t want people telling us what to do with our bodies and they shouldn’t. However, if you choose to bring a precious life into this crazy world, we have to woman up. I say that because if the father chooses to walk, you owe that child who didn’t ask to come here. In the meantime, listening to the both of them, I know exactly why Judge M is annoyed.

I had my daughter at 14 in the system. So her excuses ain't hitting home with me. And my daughter got expelled from 3 schools when she was young (11-13) for fighting. The thing is you can't weekend parent. I raised my daughter. She ain't ever lived with anybody else. My daughter is now 25 and is doing amazing. She needs to be honest and say that the grandma is the one that got her in therapy. She living for her and not taking care of her child. I don't see why anybody thinks she's a good mother. Because she's not.

This entire ordeal between the litigants over this vehicle is one convoluted mess. It's confusing to me as to exactly what this defendant was supposed to do with the plaintiff's vehicle. But Mathis went off the rails with his behavior. It was completely uncalled for and unbecoming of a judge as I see it. Bipolar is what instantly comes to mind when I hear him in these cases.
