I love how Helen and the Foote Family focused their initial spending on more basic things like better housing and more reliable vehicles. I would want to do the same thing Helen did, pay off the home and car first, totally makes sense. Enjoying luxury should not be taboo or anything to feel guilty about, but management of that is certainly important. We all have different backgrounds which influence how we would want to spend the money. Some grew up without travelling, so might want to spend a large portion of their money doing that. If you didn’t come from money whatsoever, then you would certainly splurge on expensive cars or the like. The only problem is when that spending gets excessive. But these stories are definitely both inspiring and cautionary!
