    Thank you for getting done in under four minutes what could easily have been 15 minutes more 'maybe this' and 'coulda tried that.' Anybody wants more detail can see previous vids.

      I agree! He does good and concise videos without the excessive fucking yapping for the sake of hearing oneself yap! He's a pro and not a yapper!!

    I had problems with Overture TPU 95A and after changing the retraction lenght from 0.4 to 0.7 the quality improved quite a lot. I must confess that I would never expected that such a small value diference in retraction lenght could make such a great difference in printing quality. Thank you very much for your advices! :)

    Great video. as someone who does a lot of TPU printing [flexable fin cans for model rocket kits I sell] stringing always means cleanup work afterwards. will test this out.

    thanks for the great tip with printing with TPU! inputting the right settings reduced stringing and drastically improved the print quality

    Thank you so much for this most helpful video. I purchased the A1 Mini cause of your previous video, and I couldn't be happier. Of course, I first improved the stock spool holder ( see my video ). Now I'm excited to print some TPU rc wheels. Thank you for all the great work you do.

    Great video. I almost always use 1mm retraction with TPU on all my Bambu machines.

    The stringing actually makes the octopus into a spider-octopus hybrid. Cool!

    Bambu printers are so much easier to use than Creality printers. Nice to see the more affordable A1 & A1 Mini models. I’ll be trying those retraction settings. Don’t try to put TPU into an AMS!

    Very helpful! Nice workflow finding that retraction amount, I expect the difference in retraction comes from the different configuration in the extruders. I will try this, at the moment I gave up on my X1C because the default stops extruding after a few layers, instead I use my E3V2 with a sprite extruder, the Bambu is no faster with TPU anyway.
    Maybe I should search for a retraction test “tower” to get the amount.

      Agree, TPU is slow no matter how you print it.

      Try overture's high speed TPU.

    I have absolutely no stringing with default TPU. The only thing required for this is drying tpu every time before use. Just leaving TPU one day out in 50% RH will make or String again

    Tune your temp then do a specific retraction test, you'll get rid of the rest.. Use orcaslicer for these test using a Bambu

    Other than speed, is there a downside to retraction.

    • @FilamentFriday
      @FilamentFriday  12 дней назад

      Yes, if it’s too much it can cause clogs in the nozzle.

    I have always been wanting to buy the A1 mini but the price is just too much. Here in India the cost of the A1 mini is 45,000/- INR which is roughly 530/- US dollars 😞

    You can't compare the retraction values of a Bowden drive (ender 3) to a direct drive (bambulab a1)

    • @FilamentFriday
      @FilamentFriday  5 месяцев назад +3

      I didn’t but the Ender 3 V3 I showed is a direct drive not bowden. But the extruder has a lot more slippage.

    We have sent out our printer at 3/8 earlier this year for your review video. But for 5 months you didn’t post any about it on your RUclips channel. We sincerely hope this collaboration can happen because we trust your credibility and professionalism. That’s why we reached out to you many times to check if everything is ok. However, you stop replying to the messages from May until now and according to hints on X you have read all of them but just keep ignoring.
    We must say this is really a disappointing experience because we did have such high expectation for you and your channel. If you can see this message, we still hope you can make an impartial video about our product like you always do ASAP. Otherwise, I’m afraid you need to send our printer back and put a termination of this cooperation after nothing in 5 months.
    We look forward to hearing back from you.
