I don't know though man, Have you heard Hurt-Johnny Cash? That's considerably better than the original, This Is Halloween-Marilyn Manson, I Fought The Law- The Clash. And, BFMV's cover of Sanitarium is pretty good, you should check it out. sometimes covers CAN be better than the original.
You're right but that's not what I meant to say. But some people expect a cover song to be as perfect as the original and even if it sounds better or worse it's always an own interpretation by the covering band. I hope my English is good enough to explain this. :D

You have to remember Metallica wrote this song back in the 80's so their ability to cut cd's was not available as of yet, and James Hetfield was more of a non-drug type of person which is where Master of Puppets came from he was talking about cocaine back in those days. While this is a decent cover, it will never compare to the original and is why even bfmv idolizes Metallica. There's your metal history lesson for the day lol.
BFMV did a fantastic cover of no easy way out as well. I cant say this compares to the original but its a great cover. Its like metallica covering maidens remember tomorrow, its a decent cover, but comes nowhere close to what paul dianno could pull off

My jaw hit the floor so fast and hard that it ripped a hole in Time and Space.... and that STILL did not diminish the level of fucking AWESOME that this cover presents.
will people realise covers arent supposed to be competitive and try to be better than the original, metallica was a major influence for bullet so thats why they covered it, dont compare it to the original ffs
Bullet gives this song way more justice than Metallica does in my opinion. It's louder, faster, heavier, and certain things they do throughout the song just make it better. While yes Metallica originally done this, Bullet showed them how it was done with this cover. But it's just my opinion don't get all butt hurt about it.
I love this band! A fan and always will be! First song i ever heard from bfmv was hand of blood. I discovered this band searching for runescape videos (im sad) and i LOVED the music for one of them i found, and i found out it was bullet for my valentine

guess what i love about this cover is the tight, chunky rhythm, thumping intricate drumming, good bass, solo was good (love hearing wah), vocals were good and it somehow stays fresh and melodic, definitely does not stand to the original, but its an excellent cover, fuck the haters

Actually they sound pretty close on tempo. I listened to both and there was no noticeable change in speed. Honestly I don't hear many differences at all, so I don't know how this could be better. It's extremely close to the original. I'm not saying they should have "made it their own" or anything, I just don't see what makes this one better when everything is very close to the original.
