    Hi Endeavor, love your videos. In my opinion, the Lamarr looks okay. She is not hideous, but she also isn't breath-takingly pretty (that last title goes to my favourite Starfleet ship, the Sovereign-Class). Her design kinda reminds me of the fan-made Independence-Class Heavy Cruiser, now that I can look at her better. But all in all, I kinda like this ship

    Is it just me or are the phaser strips really understated? Does it even have them?

    Not a huge fan, since the design is visually interesting but lacks a clear purpose, given the existence of Luna, Sovereign, and Constitution III classes.

    Hrm... I have to say, I'm not as keen on this design. And a Science Dreadnought? Looks awful small for that designation. The hull looks like a mismatched patchwork of cheap metal plates, the windows look crooked, and the nacelles look recycled. You can tell Starfleet rushed to assemble this thing rather hastily. I do like that Infinity Support Craft. She'd make a lovely Bomber, with some retrofitting. Not a fan of the Nova, either, though. Looks unwieldy and sprawling, for a fighter craft. Like a civilian impulse-car with gangly spider legs. Give me a Valkyrie or an Aeon any day, those are some smart designs.
    Still, top marks for a lovely presentation, as we come to expect of you, mate! I hope your Mirror Counterpart hasn't died to internal power struggles, would love to find their channel.

  • @rmartinson19
    @rmartinson19 3 месяца назад +1

    Where are its impulse drives? I see what looks like those glowing strips for a Quantum Slipstream drive on the ship's flanks near the nacelles, but no impulse engines. Also, while I kind of like the hull-frame, I wish there was a bit more to it than just "bastard lovechild of a Sovereign and an Intrepid", which is the vibe it gives off. And "science dreadnought"? I know STO plays fast and loose with ship categorization conventions, but this is just ridiculous. Not only is it nowhere near big enough to qualify as any kind of dreadnought, but the whole point of irl dreadnoughts were that they were hyper-specialized warships that focused purely on combat with other large warships. Mixing in any other role like science makes it inherently NOT a dreadnought, because then it's become a generalist vessel, rather than a specialist.

    Gotta be honest, sto should not have 1:1 rebuilt the model from the show. They should have given it the parliament treatment and it would have been great. Now voyager-A has to look like this with windows on phaser arrays, among other ridiculously arranged details. I think Prodigy is a fine show, but I really can’t stand it doing visual elements on starfleet ships all wrong.

      @@USSVoyager5no. It's trash, nothing coherent or cohesive about it's design, no obvious phasers,torp launchers or impulse engines, very few windows if that's what they are and even the designation science dreadnought sounds just plain retarded.
