An Introduction to SELCO Foundation's Theory of Change

SELCO Foundation along with its partners, is implementing a comprehensive approach that attempts to address the needs of the end users in a manner that is socially, financially and environmentally sustainable. Given the current developmental challenges that are exacerbated by climate change which is resulting in catastrophic economic and social losses amongst the most vulnerable, we need to work urgently with the communities to bring about systematic and effective changes.
The 3 stages of the Theory of Change laid out here are: innovate, scale and amplify.
SELCO Foundation innovates for evolving needs which respond to the challenges faced by communities from climate change, loss of economic opportunities and growing aspirations.
Once the needs get validated, SELCO Foundation works with local partners to develop deployment models that improves viability for them to disseminate the solutions leading to processes for scale.
And lastly, SELCO amplifies its work by either building capacity in the ecosystem stakeholders to customize more solutions based on emerging challenges and needs, or to adopt processes for dissemination of existing solutions.
