Frikken amazing. Thank you. Once upon a time in the bad old days I would have spent many, many hours scripting this with MEL. Thank you for X-particles.
Hey Bob. Simple but effective. Looks nice. And you're so good at explaining why and how. Thank you so much. BTW this Insydium Logo flashing is a bit annoying
The result is impressive, thank you for your tutorials always inspiring. I particularly appreciate the didactic aspect, always explaining why we activate this parameter, what are its consequences, etc. Thank you to any team.
Great tutorial. One thing. Ease Out then Ease In. You've got the terms reversed. Think of it as "Easing out of the first keyframe and Ease into the second keyframe. Thanks!!!!
Just bought X-particles yesterday and i've tried to copy this tutorial 3 times so far and for some reason the bubbles buoyancy doesn't work, they don't float to the surface. I tried changing the temp on both emitters but had no change in their behavior.
Go to xpExplosia FX Wind then to Forces then add wind object, you then rotate wind icon upward then you can play with strength, It worked for me, Hope that helps
Hi. first of all, thanks for the tutorial. i have been trying this tutorial now. ironically though it's seems not work. Even though i had followed the instruction which updated by some users and also im about to change the 'tempeture parameter from 0 to 1' but smoke does not arise.. Anyone who know about the problem solver reply this mention please!
Hey, I had the same problem. It worked for me when I adjusted the gravity of the explosia. rather then keeping it low i cranked it up and played around with the buoyancy
@@TheTropical100 Yeah, I also did with the same conditions and It's looks like working at first glance. having said that, it's working due to the gravity parameter, not the explosion :( . I was droped the project because of no solution
Going through this tutorial now (running C4D 2024.1 and Fused 2023.3.1) and when I get to the step where we're an xpExplosiaFX exclusion modifier to the main xpEmiiter, the explosion sim is not going back to the Hero sim we've already set up. It's still significantly diminished. Would love to see an updated version of this tutorial.
Seems like the current version doesnt quite work like the tutorial is showing? Would be awesome if it was updated as its a really interesting tutorial/effect :)
I love your tutorials - maybe the best I've ever come around. Just one remark: Shouldn't the IOR be below 1 as we have a less dense material (air) in a denser surrounding material (water)?
Default ExplosiaFX in the latest Xparticles release doesnt seem to have the smoke floating up after the burn turn on by default. Any idea on how to turn that on? Thanks

Helloo! Great tutorial! I have a question! I'm trying to add the xpFoam dynamic object in the scene too but I don't get any foam created! Any tips on how I could make it work? Thanks in advance!
Thx, and please tell me how to trigger the bubble emission by the collision, in a scene there's many objects fall into the water so manually key frame these are not possible
Hi, We've just added a note in the Description about this. You need go to your Emitters and set the Emitter-Extended Data-Physical Data-Temperature to 1 -Thanks
X-Particles is the best reason for owning C4D, and Cycles4D is maturing nicely.
X Particles just gets better and better, top kek Bob!
Thank u for the UPDATE message!

It would be great to see an updated tutorial for the 2020 Xparticles release - this method seems to be no longer compatible.
RIGHT?! icant get an emitter to be an explosia source for some reason.
never mind i didnt realize you had to adjust smoke parameters in extneeded data tab.
those tuts with bob are so well done - thx insydium!
Really enjoyed watching yet another tutorial from Insydium, great splashing render this is, thanks Bob (:
Awesome Bob, you're officially my favourite Pom
Another amazing tutorial! Thanks guys for sharing your ideas which are extremely useful :-D BIG thumb up!

Bob, I'm your fan, man, you rock.
Great, clear and detailed instructions as usual. Thank you for this free tutorial.

You are a great teacher sir.
Can you update this tutorial to 2022 for the latest version of XP🙏

Yes - tried to get this to work several times but it's not. Think we definitely need an updated version of this tutorial.

And everything becomes easy ! Thank's a lot
Thank you Bob. Thank you Insydium!
Pretty sure advection no longer worksin the same way as this tutorial either. Would be nice to see an updated version

Explosia doesn't behave like this anymore :/
thanks Bob!
Thanks you guys!

also turn on a temperature
Same problem here. I’m using X-Particles 2020 and the way the smoke reacts is different from this tutorial (11 minutes in). Any fix to this?

Whether Cycles 4D isn't support motion blur on OpenVDB mesh?
WOW
I have release 895 and I can't see any smoke or fire being emitted from the particles, I have turned up the temp, any suggestions?
I had to increase also the fuel, I think I solved it

You also need to decrease fuel 1-2 / temp 1
Cant get my bubbles to float upwards, help anybody?
