What an amazing person. Most people would just see the dark space down the side of the house as a place to store their rubbish bags but this lady actually created a productive space and an income.
She strikes me as the exact kind of lady I’d imagine would grow mushrooms
I mean she kind of looks like Super Mario.
She's like the blippy of mushrooms
my first thoughts exactly
She's so pretty.....
...or run cats shelter... LOL But Im impressed with the bucket system
Woah. She's pretty quirky but I like her! Aussie legend!
People like her are the future of Australia
Great work! I've always grown plants since I was young. Recently I've been scrounging around for material as I'm building a new permaculture garden & today I rediscovered an old woodchip pile at the local park. Amazing amount of healthy mushrooms growing in it! Dug up as much as I could fit in my bins. I know my raised beds will be full of mycelium & mycorrhizal fungi to give everything a boost of energy to make my plants thrive in the supercharged soil! Happy days! The simple things in life 👌
Mushroom farm reporting in!
do you think you'll get in on the pasteurized substrate action?
This guy :)
Psilocybin containing mushrooms saved my life. The drastically reduced my benzodiazepine withdrawal allowing me to quite illicit pill addiction after three years of heavy daily use before it would had became medically dangerous to quit. It has also helped me survive depression.
No wonder the government bans them. Can’t deprive big pharma and the medical industry of money and control.
Yep is very good, this is what they don’t want people to know, big pharma harma would be made obsolete.
Its awesome to see a bigger grower using buckets exclusively, I am inspired! I have been messing around growing with filter patch bags. Ive done some lions mane, grey oysters, pink oysters, and chestnuts. Ive hated that the bags are single use. I will be trying buckets soon. This is so cool!
Buckets use more plastic waste than the bags, believe it or not. If you calculate how many PP bags you would need to use to amount to the same amount of plastic as the bucket, a near zero chance the bucket will last long enough to be a less consumptive use of plastic.
@@wearywillie3675 the buckets are already waste, they're not produced for this. You'll notice they all say Feta on them. These buckets are plastic waste from the restaurant industry being repurposed
PP is very limited in its recycling capacity, especially if bags are fitted with a filter patch. HDPE buckets last for many years and can be readily recycled
Love the fact that she’s wearing Mario’s Color’s.
They look so clean and juicy. Im sure they are yum too.
Love everything about this! Shrooms are so cool
I love shrooms.
Thanks ABC, great piece.
she's super cool.
She looks like a mushroom herself. Fits the role perfectly!
Her name is Button. Like button mushrooms
Thank you ❤ ❤ ❤
Definition of a tree hugger I bet I like her good on you pal 🇬🇧
Great work really proud of you
ogladalem ten filmik pare razy i bardzo mi sie podobal pozdrawiam Kris z Poland
Wow wow wow 😍
I struggled with alcoholism for 6 years or so. After 4 failed rehabs, I'm finally celebrating 8 MONTHS SOBER after an extremely impactful mushroom experience
edit: just hit my 9 month milestone :)
shrooms saved my life and took me to a whole new level
Where do you recommend to find the buckets, and how much do we have to be careful of their composition and previous usage? Thx
Great work
Superb and a fantastic lady
Kool I love it
Damn I want to work with this lady
amazing
I tried to do it with buckets for a year and threw in the towel. It's a ton of work to keep that many buckets in rotation and I started twisting my back so often that it was ruining the business for me.
She has to have employees or she's going to feel this in a decade.
Why not try smaller buckets?
I can't lift much in the way of weight due to an old back injury and inflammatory syndrome affecting most of my joints and - okay, I definitely do not have a mushroom farm or even a home growing concern on the same level as this lady - but I grow my own mushrooms in smallish plastic bags with a view of replacing them with lidded tubs 'much' smaller than those shown.
Lift only what is comfortable for you, not what is comfortable for someone else or what you see recommended on other channels. It's perfectly possible for mushrooms to scale down as much as yourself.
Only yesterday, I picked a nice bunch of wild (Porcelain Fungus) mushrooms off a tiny scrap of a branch laying on the ground. They really don't need those great big buckets to thrive well.
What is the temperature required to grow mushrooms?
Classic Mushrooms Qween ! )
I have researched and found out that shrooms are very helpful , it has really helps to reduce anxiety and depression . I would love to try magic mushrooms but I can't easily get some , Is there any realiable source I can purchase one
Very good 🎉❤
How much is space used in this setup?
What is the best mushrooms to grown in Queensland at home ?
At the 2:48 mark she mentions a mushroom but I can’t understand what she’s saying. It kinda sounds like shemiji but, those aren’t shemiji’s. Anyone know What mushroom are those?
mushrooms queen
We have the musthoom make from
Loaf many tree end someb branch
Thanks
They make compostable mushroom bags now.
Good morning
Appropriate that the mushroom lady is dressed like Mario.
the holes you pierced/drilled is very small. you will lose a lot of weight on the yield since you are restricting its stem size to minimal and you are cultivating a highly explosive oyster variety. i recommend the holes be 1 to 1 1/2inch. thank me later.
It's a nice technique, but you can't track contamination. Because you cannot see inside the buckets and this is a big problem in case of possible contamination.
Continuosly humidity in room...?
My feet are the biggest mushroom farms of europe
❤❤❤❤❤
More space
Great work and makr easy the money😂✍️
🍄🍄🥰🥰👍
Do you need to sterilize the medium in which you grow them?
I've seen oyster mushrooms grown on straw that was soaked in lime water of ph 12.5. This seems like an economical way to do it vs autoclaving that much. One video had people stuffing ground up straw into onion bags and dumping them in a huge bucket of water mixed with lime. I haven't seen any other ways yet.
👌🏻
Question why are they harvesting them when they are so young! those mushrooms could be twice the size at least before they are ready to harvest
The answer maybe how long it would take for the mushroom to double the size at the time of harvest, it might take a week for her to grow her mushroom to that size but but the mushroom to grow double the size might take way longer (2 or 3 weeks, i am not an expert).
I have been told the earlier you harvest the longer they will keep in the fridge, which would be important for retail purposes (and also home growing as you get a lot of mushrooms all at once). Ive noticed if I pick mine (Oyster mushroom kit) when they are small I get more flushes too, but I am no expert on the subject just my observations
She is one of the only people I've seen actually harvesting oysters at the right time for optimum taste. The cap should still be slightly curled under like that, she has gotten them before they go to spore. Looking at it a different way - she has actually chosen to supply a better product instead of a heavier product (which is worth mentioning when you are paid via weight).
plus spore load increases as they mature and shelf life decreases once they release them
the spores are not good to have in your lungs hence her resperator, also they kill fans pretty quickly
what is better? single use plastic... or pretty large quantities of fresh water used to clean buckets..?
obviously water. plastic in landfills is a big no-no.
Why are you harvesting mushrooms so early?- they are not ready !!!! You could double your profit just by waiting 1-2 days...
M growing nly my belly
The musrroom are beuti
Are make from skin padi
Wouuuu

400$ in week...🤔 ..too much work
She's doing what she loves can you say that about yourself lol
a lot of room for improvement
Not animal or plant 🤔
Yep, they're their own kingdom. :)
Yes, Fungi are a third kingdom, but are more closely related to animals than plants.
Why is she called Buttons? Why does she talk like that?
Omg. That bucket growing method is the most wastefull usage of space ever. Please STOP 🛑
What would YOU! suggest??
explain? reusable, less waste. And stackable, which is a simple way to fill a room (and spares so many racks). Have you seen many mushroom cultivations? Because this looks like a pretty good use of space. So please elaborate on your method that is more space efficient.
@@emwhaibee is it in Melbourne. What’s the name of this farm ?
It seems more efficient than most other forms of agriculture when looking at usage of space.
