I was severely traumatized years ago as a teenage, got diagnosed with cptsd, spent my whole life fighting cptsd. Not until my wife recommended me to psilocybin mushrooms treatment. Psilocybin treatment saved my life honestly. 8 years totally clean. Never thought I would be saying this about mushrooms.

I wish just contemplating on how well/efficient it would be to cool or possibly heat shipping containers. I am curious how you insulated and any other knowledge.
And another cost saver would be to erect a pole barn to give your shipping containers shade... You will save tremendously in your heat coefficient trade off..... Lot of surface area you have to keep cool... Also, the excess Co2 your mushrooms are "exhaling" make a great turbo booster if you pump/recirculate to "Tents" next door for tomatoes and/or bell peppers..... And those only need a pvc pipe "frame" and 'black' bisquene sheeting..... Each sheeting will last 2-3 years, depending on your conservation techniques and the cost is minimal in comparison to 3 - 4k ea. purchase price for the conex you use..... The organic market is year around, but, you can always take a break in the summer when it comes time to sterilize your piping......
I am not a bot I ❤️ Mycommunity, I watch the myco geeky podcast ,. Mushrooms for mental health , Mushroom treatment for trauma depression and addiction saved me from my mental health!!!!
This is one of the things I would love to try, but the price of land and buildings is so high right now that I could easily drop $75,000 on the attempt, and I can't afford to risk that much right now.
I know this is old, but more than one grow has started by buying a handful of colonized fruiting blocks every other week or so. Try some farmers market, sell to a restaurant, craigslist, or supply a food bank. One can do quite a bit in a very small space, making customers and growing when they have enough of a base.
I don't live too far from this place. I'm always finding cool small scale farming operations. I wish there was a hub that could connect me to more places like this instead of randomly finding them on youtube. I know I could go to farmer's markets but the 2 closest to me are an hour away, both in opposite directions.
nice video guys, really happy seeing this kind of videos. Honestly, I was able to survive depression, also my strong addiction to illicit drugs over 3 years which could have been medically dangerous to quit, all thanks to Psilocybin mushrooms.
Dude should consider asking a local performance hvac professional to come by and help with his energy management. And solar resilience would be ideal with minisplit based systems too! But great work 😊
Hey Hiram, I’m a shiitake junky. I used to grow my own, but waiting 3 to six months just kinda gets old, so I just buy what I need now. How much is you Lion’s Maine and Shiitake per pound? I’m in Person county, but I’m sure you can ship it. I got peeps in Charlotte, and used to make that run several times a year. Back when my son was at UNC Charlotte. I get shiitake in the triangle area, but lions maine is not so available. I will definitely spread the word about your company to local restaurants.
@@freshlistclt Glad to hear he will be making his own. It would be disingenuous to claim locally grown Shiitakes if they came from anywhere other than his farm.
Howdy @@FungusFingers. So when we started in 2015 we started with domestic shiitake logs. However in 2019 my producer switched to the imported blocks, just about everyone did. I tried other options but my room is currently designed for this sized log. We are starting to batch blocks in house and are currently producing over half of our fast colonizers. By the end of the year most blocks will be made in house. Once we cross that threshold we will start exploring shiitake. They are a different beast and require a log "curing" process which will require another container to hold them.
@@FungusFingers Those are Chinese substrates, superbly inferior to a correctly formulated locally sourced North American substrate. However, they're available for half the cost of producing one [in bulk] in the US as they are 'dumped' on our economy... If you can tolerate half the biological efficiency.

Do you grow the oysters, lion's mane, pio pino, and matake in the same room?
Hiram has three different shipping containers he grows out of, some of his containers do have mixes in them.
