Absolutely,Positively, without doubt whatsoever the Greatest Band ever! To me anyway..their character is even better than their music..says much..their music has pulled me thru the darkest of times and yes I believe even saved my life..TY..
My absolute favorite Kings X show. I've had a copy on CDr for years, tremendous versions of all these tunes! Visions & The Burning Down are jaw droppingly good!
Thank you thank you thank you for posting this! I've been a King's X fan ever since a complete stranger recommend the Gretchen album on cassette to me at a music store in '90 when I was 16 yrs old. I was hooked after he first listen of that mind blowing album. I'd never heard anything like it in all my 16 years of existence, or since then. Their first 3 albums are my favorite, so I'm loving this show. I've never been able to see them live, so thank you again for posting the next best thing.
This version of The Burning Down just changed the way I live my life. I had never heard a “big” live version of it. I’m gonna go home and rethink myself after this.
These were some of their most jaw dropping sets back then...Thanks for posting!!! No set is ever the same unless the song calls for it! Cranking it tonight!
Was at this show Dallas City Limits they were absolute amazing as always but this was when they were really coming up hard everyone was talking about them tiny little club priceless memories!!!
So what happened? Did Sam Taylor (their manager) stole all their money and ran away? I can't find much info into that period of time where they split and then recorded Dogman
The Limelight in New York is sketched and etched for an eternity and beyond!! There were beams of light bouncing off the stained glass of that abandoned Episcopalian Church that I have never and never see again!!!!!
Great post! I remember seeing them right around this time and thinking to myself they were poised to become the biggest thing since sliced bread. Hopefully they have at least one more record in them before they hang it up for good.
If there was a time machine, this date would be on the list.

It is epic
Unfortunate the show is so frantic. The guys were still hungry and at the top of their game, but the song tempos make listening difficult. Too bad.
Thanks for posting! I recorded this from the Z-Rock broadcast out of Denver which was on AM. This is much better!
Thanks for posting. Do you have a cassette .wav version that can be downloaded? I’d like to offer some enhancements. Thanks
Great live performance. A period of strong vocals, for the band. Thanks, for posting!

@27:18 One of the best songs that they wrote.
This is the song that made me fall in love with them
Man, The Burning Down... such a powerful closer. Maybe their best song if not Pleiades

Greatest
Anybody know the venue? I think Im at this show.
Dallas City Limits
Beyond exceptional guitar player. I can't stop listening to this guy. Anyone else hear a harder, more badass Wishbone Ash type of sound to his solos?
We were there!!!
