This is one of the top 10 hard rock bands ever! I still don’t understand why they didn’t catch on with the masses. What a shame
Look at that house, it's packed, they did just fine, never sold out always stayed true to themselves like even here is 94 the height of grunge and they never fell into that whole thing just kept doing what they do.
They never caught on because they refused to dumb it down. They were (are) simply too good for the majority of listeners.
@passion Dumbing down is really something to behold... Master of Puppets to Enter Sandman... these 3 kind, wonderful and genius performers will never second guess their choices in the end... art vs commerce... we're all blessed to have seen and met them...
Because people just didn't get them. Its that simple. Too bad- but true.
King's X didn't fit neatly into any of the commercial categories of their time, which made it difficult to market them. They were too heavy and complex for traditional rock radio, too positive and sincere for a lot of metal and hard rock fans, but not proggy enough for hardcore prog audiences. I think they would have done better in a media landscape like today's, where a band doesn't have to be part of a broad cultural moment to find an audience.
Always loved this band one of my favorites heavy Beatles
King's X = GOAT!
最高です!
i was there as well, first time i met and got a photo with dug after the show on the street/near the tour bus. thanks for sharing this footage !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was my 21st birthday show! We went to Wetlands Reserve afterward!
Ty's second solo on Cigarettes is just mind blowing!
love how that era, they played over my head, fool you and cigarettes in order
1994 the absolute pinnacle of grunge and bands like Toad the Wet Sprocket but Kings X never once fell into that trap or sold out, they always stayed true to what they knew, who they were and what they did and still do to this day.🤘☠️🌹
Yes! I was in Boston!! Amazing!
Actually Kings x is credited by Jerry Cantrell from Alice in chains as the major influence for not only Alice in chains but also the grunge movement.
Jeff ament from Pearl jam played the 12 string bass because of Dug Pinnick. It's the hammer 12-string bass you here at the beginning of Jeremy by Pearl jam.
Dimebag Darrell of Pantera was also a huge King's x fan. He credited King's x for pantera's groove metal sound.
Saw this tour on three different dates. "Dogman" was a killer album
The perfect setlist
My first KX concert was the night before, in Asbury Park.
Faith Hope Love tour / 1991 / Winston-Salem, NC / They headlined at a club called Baity's Music Garden. Easily one of the most amazing things I have ever witnessed. I have seen them many times since, but, man, that night.... GOOD LAWD!!!!!!! Something about that night has never left me!
I was there!!!!!
First time I saw them was like '91 at some mid-sized club in New Jersey. Was easily one of the best concerts I have ever attended in my life.
Man Ty's tone on "Pillow" is just monsterous
Just saw them in Dallas the night before Thanksgiving and they played "Pillow". It was absolute thunder!!!!
I love this band! Best of all time!
My very first King's X live concert, as I stood in front of dUg Pinnick's booming bass amps that was in front of his many bass guitars. Oh yeah, what a Rock n' Roll Blessing experience it was that evening, nuff said!!!
Doesn't get better than this! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video! Had a bad day and wanted to hear Human behavior! I got the entire concert! Thanks again!
Watching this to see if i got on stage like i remember😊
My favorite band. Love 'em!
This is awesome! This was my second time seeing them. I've seen them now over 20 times, love it
Man... do I NOT want to sound like Walt Kowalski here... but, this is the single greatest live performance I've ever seen on RUclips and only 7K views??!!... Ogre, thank you for this posting... I have the Dallas show from this tour on boot... but, this is a few notches higher from an energy standpoint... this venue on this day is my first stop once I get this Flux capacitor to work!😄
Woah the drum solo at 26:00.....super rhythmic and the band is tight as fuck keeping on with that revolving riff.
Saw them a few days before this show in Boston. Seems like yesterday.
Wow they are spot on. I just spent a half hour looking up Ty Tabor's signature guitar back then. Looks like he's playing his Zion there. Very interested in the fact he uses single coil pickups but they seem to double-coil in a single coil space. The pickups he uses are still $200 each on Ebay lol.
Always wanted to hear them play "Shoes" live. Amazing!
Great crowd. Vocals sound great. Much better than what I've heard recently from King's X.
We're all getting older lol!
Thank u for posting!! Great band👍
Thanks for posting this. Any earlier shows from before I first saw them ('98) are especially appreciated. For some reason King's X from the first 4 albums seem like the real King's X to me, even though I know, if anything, it's the opposite!
Man Jerry from 25:50 till 27:05 amazing 🔥🔥🔥
I was there.. this show was soooo insane compared to the night before. Your footage looks about the same as mine... someone has to have the master!!! Kiss and Anthrax were in attendance sitting on the stage to the right if memory serves..
What amazing show !!
