I like how fun the fighting scenes are (and how the characters sometimes are also having fun with it), but at the same time the struggle also shows. This what makes Dandadan different to many shounen fights which tend to be stressful.
I love the way the VAs just go ham with their lines. Obviously the plot demands a range of tones and emotion, but they still put a lot more in. Like Momo's voice being all sensitive and empathetic and approachable when she's trying to connect with Ocarun, then he calls her 'ugly' and her voice just goes into those overblown arch tones.
my favorite part about Dandadan is that the author actually lets Ayase do stuff. this is the big shonen moment where the main character unlocks a super cool transformation; you'd think the author would let Okarun 100% save the day, right? but the effort is purely 50/50, and ultimately, Ayase saves them both again. she's not just the token "shonen girl character" and i appreciate that
If you guys like the comedy of this you need to watch Asobi Asobase. Similarly unhinged but in a different way. Plus some of the best voice acting you'll ever hear.
Asobi Asobase literally had me crying laughing. At first, the character designs were a bit bland, but then you get why they're drawn that way by the end of the episode. Kino Hina is awesome.

i feel like ken said she was ugly to try to lighten the mood after he talked about how alone he was more than actually meaning it. in the end it worked out so thats good lol.
Ken and Momo had to battle a Sumo Wrestler Alien powered by occult believe in this yeah I'm gonna say that this is just straight up Anime Regular Show & on top of having no meat she can't stop using her power on him not even for a second otherwise he'll lose complete control of his body Turbo Granny Powers suck they are the worst don't get me wrong being an super human monster is cool you can almost never go wrong with that and the drip of this design is immaculate but when the draw is the human can't handle it it's trash the Turbo Granny Curse sucks.

Momo isn’t just a love interest but a mc as well so…..
Hence she isn’t treated like the main love interest is usually in shows.
Probably cause they both main characters with momo getting a bit more spotlight
