@@JohnJohnBIKES it worked well for the video - the transition from paved roads to gravel with the push of the camera's record button was a nice touch. And loved the drone shot! Hope to ride with you again sometime soon.
Interesting frame you have there. In the 80s I purchased a custom frame built by a local Filipino in Cartimar. Columbus SL tubing, Campy dropouts. Are there no longer custom frame builders in Cartimar
Yes I remember Cartimar! I grew up riding a bicycle from Cartimar made by Patria! I’m not sure if there still are custom frame builders there, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there still are.
I had a friend who was one of the first to build bamboo bicycles in the Philippines. He went to Craig Calfee in California to learn how to do it. Then he came back home and started providing livelihood to communites of the less fortunate by hiring them to create bamboo bikes. He was a quiet force but he was an amazing force. The bikes were quite good and they began to gain attention and a following. Unfortunately, he was gone too soon. This bike is a nod to his efforts and his vision.

My jaw dropped when I saw the drone footage. It's my first time seeing it done by a cyclist. Job well done Sir Jon-Jon!

1:03 - aaah that transition is very much appreciated.
Sorry about the earlier video. I inadvertently clicked VR 360 option on the export then. Caramba.

Did you not fancy AXS electronic? I just love it
I love SRAM wireless and I have the First Gen of that on my road bike. But I’ve kept my off-road bikes mechanical. It’s just me.

Haha! But love is not something Finite, buddy. There should be enough for everyone around. 🤣

I built an actual bamboo bike once, the ride is amazing... in a straight line, but that was my fault not the material
