Washington had many disadvantages in the Revolution but was able to accomplish his mission because of his strategic vision. By contrast, Lee was a great tactician but failed in his mission despite having excellent troops, good supplies and capable subordinates. Washington is grossly underrated as a general.

I concur. Washington was great and you, General Powell, should follow in his footsteps and become President. The nation needs to return to the rule of law and order. Who better to bring us there than you?

George Washington was destined for greatness, not unlike, Themistokles, Alexander The Great and Julius Caesar.
These men were born to create what we call history!

You know...most people wouldn’t recognize a painting of Washington except for printed image on the dollar bill.

That's why we produce content on our website. For example, this page that shows all of the portraits that Washington sat for: www.mountvernon.org/george-washington/artwork/life-portraits-of-george-washington/

If he had done a 3rd term he never would have gone out on that fateful winter night. I know he's been gone for a long time but it kinda annoys me he missed the next century by two weeks. After what he sacrificed for this country it would have been nice for him to usher the country into the next century.

The US Armed Forces may have to re-establish the Constitution snd Bill of Rights, given what has happened under the Buden Tyranny, which rivals anything King George imposed on the Colonies.

Wow I find it ironic that a “weapons of mass distraction” liar like Powell, speaks of a great man who said “Speak the truth and follow it steadfastly.”

George Washington was a great man. Colin Powell isn't worthy to discuss him.

John Robinson -- We could run rings around you with what we know historically and current events. We went to school when students were taught how to think and not what to think.
