The issue turned out to be a spun bearing on cylinder two, causing the engine to seize.

I shipped my car to Pure Performance in Houston. TJ did a great job quickly rebuilding my 2015 M5. Have over 3k miles on my rebuilt engine. Love my M5.

Also use the oil bypass cooler to keep the oil temps low
Sadly enough these earlier bmws were undeveloped, and bmw naturally should compensate every customer that bought them

Hi m8 sorry about your m5 what would you recommend doing from preventing this to happen in the first place and what parts should you change from preventing the s63tu engine to be seized?
Were you redlining like Paul Walker when the engine blew?
So if im about to buy a M5 should i purchase upgraded injectors and upgrades charge coolers to prevent engine seizing ?
were you using 0w30 when your rod bearing spun?
You should file a lawsuit against Bmw

Hey Will. Having a issue with my 2015 M5 connecting rod knock and same thing deal says 48k to replace the motor. Looking into RK to do a motor. How has it held up for the last year or so? Please let me know what you think. Thanks

my bmw 535i xdrive 2011 engine is knocking
@@Lalo497 no I didn’t fix it. Mine was Xdrive so replacing the bearings was roughly $3,000

9k for the engine. Install will be around 3 to 4K, and 1k for new injectors. Did your engine really just go out?
@@WillsGarageOfficial why not just pay bmw $12000 for new engine and BMW cover the other 50%
@@E39M5SPEED Engine replacement is $50K with BMW. They would have to review the claim and best case scenario they would cover 50%. So it would've cost $25K plus the hassle of haggling with them.
@@WillsGarageOfficial in the video you said it was $25000 from BMW. So half of that would be around $12500. Didn’t know it was $50,000 that’s just pure rape.
