    Have you noticed a negative effect of the keratin treatment on low porosity hair? I read someone say it’s not good for low porosity hair because low porosity already has enough protein contrary to high porosity hair.
    Love your videos! Especially the keratin ones! Not enough Information about this Out there so thank you

      And no, I haven’t noticed any negative effects on low porosity hair with keratin treatments. The treatment actually helps low porosity hair by absorb and retain moisture.

    Does the keratin need heat from the blow dryer and iron to “seal” or glue to the hair shaft?
    I’m wondering about how effective the treatment would be if no heat is used?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  4 месяца назад +3

      The heat is needed, this is how the treatment lasted 3+ months.

    You’re giving wrong information. Keratin treatment does slightly loosen the curls. The curls will not look the same. The new incoming curls will be the same as the curl pattern before the keratin. It lasts for almost 6 months. Then the curls goes back it it’s natural texture.

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  11 месяцев назад +9

      I’m actually not giving wrong information… I’ve been doing this service for over 3 years now and I’ve seen it’s affect on different curl patterns from 3a- 4c types.
      A keratin treatment does not loosen the curl. It is a smoothing treatment aimed to eliminate frizz. I show the curls before and after the keratin treatment in my videos (especially on first time clients). The curls are the same minus frizz.
      The treatment I use lasts 3 months and washes out, which I state in my videos. Although there are 5-6 month keratin treatments on the market.

    • @kiamarisalazar7775
      @kiamarisalazar7775 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@timelesslymirna actually it does loosen the curls and here in this video you showed and said her curls were a bit "elongated" which means the curls were stretched by the keratin which makes the curls appear longer. the tighter the curl the more shrinkage or shorter the curls appear.

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  10 месяцев назад +5

      @@kiamarisalazar7775 Yes, the curl does appear longer because the curls are smoother and frizz free after the treatment.
      Frizz makes the hair appear shorter and bigger than it is. It’s like when you have a deep conditioner worked through your hair. It smoothes your curls and your curl lay down so it appears longer.
      A keratin treatment is not made to set a new curl pattern (like a texturizer). Hope this helps 💕

    • @kiamarisalazar7775
      @kiamarisalazar7775 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@timelesslymirna no, lack of moisture causes more shrinkage which results in frizz. frizz alone doesnt shrink hair.
      no one said keratin treatment sets a new curl pattern. your curl pattern is your permanent curl pattern. it will continue to grow from the scalp in the same pattern. however, you can alter the curl to wear it loose, tight, or straight.

      @timelesslymirna  Год назад +8

      Hi hi! I just read up on hair Botox and it’s basically a high grade deep conditioner. You have to use it every wash day to keep your results.
      A keratin treatment lasts 3 months and seals in the nutrients to your hair. If you want something low maintenance and long term, I recommend a keratin treatment.

    I have a similar hair type like her and a wash & go dnt look curly the curls are very fine any advice ?

    • @timelesslymirna
      @timelesslymirna  Год назад

      To make sure you get your best curls for a wash and go your hair has to be thoroughly moisturized. Dry curls are frizzy and lack definition.
      I would make sure your hair is hydrated by deep conditioning weekly.
      Also fine hair can be harder to style curly because it can look thin. If you want fullness I would forgo definition and pick your hair out for more volume.
