I was paying £200 per treatment. I buy the product for about £40 which gives me 2 treatments. I used to hate sitting in salon for 3 hours. I prayed to the lord for hair past my neck he provided me what I prayed for and now my neck is hot . I got a keratin tx now thinking about doing a bob. Yall give me strength to enjoy this blessing; hair is our crown 🎉
It’s interesting how you prayed to God about your hair. What blessing!! It reminds me of when I stopped getting relaxers and I prayed to God about taking care of my hair (since I knew that I would have no clue on how to take care of my nappy, non-manageable hair being very tender headed). I am so in awe on how God even cares even for the smallest details of our lives.
Keratin treatments are so much better than relaxers. My hair grew and didn’t break off. My mistake was bleaching my hair. Do not color your hair with keratin treatments. Just my fair warning.
Yeah when it comes to color, I definitely tell my clients to wait until their curl bounces back after the color to get keratin. Wait like a month or so. Bleach overtime will loosen your curl pattern for sure. But I’m glad you had a good experience with keratin. It’s definitely a game changer 💕
Would your client be comfortable creating a follow up video on how she styles her hair curly in between treatments? I’d love to get her take on how she manages her hair on her own now that she’s been doing keratin with you for a year. And also how she feels the treatments have supported her curly styling journey if at all. If she’s open to it, I’d love to follow her or see a video of her styling her curly hair!
I've been looking for someone (🤚🏾)in the NYC area who does keratin treatment, but I finally decided to give myself a break. This video popped up on my feed and something told me to just watch it and I'm so happy I did.
this is very informational. I came into this video skeptical thinkin it was like a relaxer. Omg Woman, THANK YOU!🤗You’ve sold me on getting a keratin treatment😂I was turned off from getting one at first, because when they initially came out they all had formaldehyde, and I did NOT want to be exposed to that. Now thanks to you, that I know about the formaldehyde Free Cezanne product, and I live in California, so I will be looking for a professional to do my hair with that keratin product, because I am a 4c natural, but my curls have gotten so unmanageable that I cannot even have a decent “Wash n’ Go” without lots of frizz😩Without failure to mention, every time that I flat iron my hair it puffs right up before I can even finish my full head😭Furthermore, thank you very much for this video, you’ve answered all of my questions because although I have a bunch of uncontrollable frizz, I don’t want to ruin my curl pattern and have to chop my hair off like if I had a perm to fully regrow my natural curls back.

Love all the info! 👌🏽I have great success both with myself and clients keratins over the years. I have blonde hair & I only do 2 passes at 390deg. Proper conditioning & no excessive heat, as you said, is best. So your client wearing her hair curly is perfect!
Thank you so much! And for sharing your results with the treatment. I love when other stylists can vouch for it. When done properly, keratin is a game changer 💕
When she comes back in 3 months can you show her with her hair dry, before you apply the next round of the keratin treatment? A lot of the comments are saying her curls have loosened. So we want to see if her hair actually reverts back to how her virgin hair was.
This is why I do these videos, education is important. Keratin is a natural protein found in your hair. Therefore how can it be too heavy for your hair? The proof is in the video. Please see a professional if you wish to try the treatment yourself.
@@Autumn938 A lot of times those same people are trying to do it themselves without the proper training or following instructions. These are my clients results after a year. @@timelesslymirna Thank you for responding I know I asked a lot of questions! I’m considering a consultation to explain further. You’re awesome and I love your work! 🩷🩷
I just had my first one and my hair is almost completely straight. I was so surprised. I don’t wear my hair curly but I use protective styles in the summer. I don’t think I will ever go back. I can even wear my hair blow dried and not flat iron it!
Oh no sorry to hear that! Sounds like you have keratin overload. I recommend using a clarifying shampoo to help you get some of it out. But you just may need to grow your hair out if your curls aren’t coming back.
Of course it is a chemical treatment. If done incorrectly your curls may change. Which is why I keep preaching to go to a professional to get the treatment done.
@@kayjay7865 once again, I always recommend going to a professional if you don’t want to risk your curl pattern changing. Heat damage can change your curl pattern too. I don’t tell people to stop getting blowouts or silk presses. If done right your hair can still thrive.
Why does her hair look like she lost half the density? It looked so much better before in its virgin state. Maybe cuz it was more of a fro texture? How safe is the treatment over time? How often do you have to moisturize compared to virgin hair?
Her hair density looks more or less the same. However her curl pattern looks significantly loosened so it looks thinner (which confuses me since the stylist said it just reduces frizz without altering the curl pattern) 🤨.
Yes, frizz makes her hair look bigger. Once the curls clump together it looks like less hair. Her hair is thriving after a year of treatment. Since the treatment fades out she can stop at anytime if she wanted to take a break. It’s the same routine I recommend everyone, wash and deep condition weekly. No change in your regular routine.
Her curl pattern was not changed. You’re seeing her hair wet after rinsing. Her curls have clumped together (reducing frizz) her hair was also wet after rinsing. Water weighs her hair down as you know so it looked stretched. When her curls are dry she has more volume of course.
Thanks for sharing,i had a trafiyional Brazilian keratin treatment . during the process my eyes was burning, and it smelt very strong the chemical was set on my hair under a dryer for hours Final results hair was more soft beautiful shiny loosened curl pattern But unfortunately my hair broke of my scalp was dry, itchy i suspect it had formalydes wish you was in the uk london
Oh no I’m so sorry to hear that! Yes, some keratin treatments have a high concentration of formaldehyde that can break down your hair. Wishing your hair and scalp a quick recovery ❤️🩹
@timelesslymirna this hair loss happened almost two years ago my hairs recovering thanks for the kind wishes ,most of these hairdressers are scam artist your genuine
Im just here because I asked a friend how her hair stays straight when we are out in the heat and she said she gets keratin treatments. Ppl saying this clients curl pattern has loosened have really convinced me to get one. Loosen these coils please. I do not like how much shrinkage have.
Have you done this on anyone with 4b/4c hair? I'm curious to know what this would do for my hair but I'd be heart broken if my curl pattern were to change.
I’m 3c, and my mom says it made my curls looser. I would agree, but slightly. It really just made my waves pop, and when I dry I do retain more length when curly
So keratin treatment does change your curl pattern. Not necessarily in a bad way, but it does change it. I don’t know why the stylists are saying it doesn’t change it.
It’s a smoothing treatment to eliminate frizz. If done right your curl pattern won’t change. But if you wash your hair after getting it and your curls don’t revert back, then you’ve experienced damage.
That's what I keep seeing. I did a deep dive into the keratin treatment world. Everybody has the same company line that it's a smoothing treatment and if it's done right it won't loosen the curl pattern. Not saying it's a bad thing because it looks amazing after it's done. I’m looking at this young lady and her curl loosened. It looks great. More manageable. but it does loosen the curl pattern slightly. Not like a perm/texturizer would, but I see it. And many women say when you wet your hair it doesn't come back, maybe in a few months it will. Again, not saying it's a bad thing because it's manageable for a lot of women. Especially those with type 4 hair. I have 2c-3b thin hair. I want to get it, but I don’t want to end with more type 2 wavy hair. I like my type 3 curls. 😊
@@Frantheauthor I see what you mean. I love the treatment for my fine/thin hair clients because the protein bulks the hair up and strengthens it so it doesn't break off as easily. I say go to a trusted stylist who has worked with keratin on curls like yours. Be sure you see before and afters. That way you will feel like you're in good hands. Because if done right, I feel like you'll really enjoy the benefits.
A keratin doesn’t change your curl pattern. It reduces frizz for smoother defined curls. You can see before we applied her current keratin treatment her hair was bigger and frizzier. After we applied the treatment her hair had no frizz and looked more defined. If her curl pattern looks looser, it’s because longer hair is heavier which weighs down and stretches her curls. Once we cut her hair, her curls sprung back up and looked tighter.
@@kim-dz2kg Why is that hard to believe? Keratin treatments are designed for eliminating frizz. Before I even applied heat her curls were smoother and well defined.
Perhaps I didn’t get it done correctly, but I paid a pretty penny last year for this exact treatment and no loosened curl pattern (on hair that is virgin) and no greater manageability. Looking to do this because I’m coloring now but I was researching what keratin to use. Idk. I’d hate to pay so much to do this again for the same results. My hair currently tangles so bad, I’d rather cut the knots off than deal with them.
Aphogee is an intense product that if used regularly can make your hair become hard and brittle. Keratin lasts 3 months and it doesn’t dry out your hair.
So this is good for natural girlies? The way you described it seemed kinda like a cellophane? I almost exclusively wear it curly too..are you located in CA by chance?
Yes, this is definitely for natural girls! It’ll help not only with manageability but it’ll help with curl definition, so styling your curls will be much easier. I’m located in NYC, but if you go on the Cezanne website you can find a stylist near you.
Aww sorry to hear you’re struggling. I would go see a hairstylist and get a professional opinion. They can help recommend products and a routine to help you at home.
The treatment will help fight against humidity but if your hair gets wet it will revert back to curly. You’ll notice it won’t revert as quickly as before though
amazing video. this spans a year so that means it’s okay to do the keratin treatment every 3 months. Do you think that a person could do it even every 2 months if the current one you have is wearing off already?
Thank you so much! I don't recommend getting keratin every two months before it's fully washed out. I recently shared a video explaining how often to get a keratin treatment based on your hair type and lifestyle. Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/tATG2-8XVI4/видео.htmlsi=-ePZCL8_jX2SEBS_
Awww thank you so much!! I wish you were still here too!! Unfortunately I don’t know anyone in LA, but if you go on the Cezanne website they have a salon directory. It’ll help you find a stylist near you.
Keratin treatments smooths the hair more than aminos (if shrinkage is an issue) and keratin lasts longer than an amino release. It depends on what you’re looking for
Oh no! Sorry to hear you lost your curls. Unfortunately you can’t revert your curls back once they’ve gone straight. You will have to grow your hair out.
This is beautiful! Im getting my first keratin treatment tomorrow! I tried a treatment a year ago with a keratin produuct from amazon but it didn't work
Yay!! I’m so happy you’re loving it!! The most important product is your shampoo. Make sure it’s keratin safe, so it doesn’t wash out quickly. A moisturizing deep conditioner will keep your hair hydrated. Other than that you should be good to go 👍🏾
Hi! I’ve been getting formaldehyde free keratin treatments on my natural hair for a year now and I love it! The only thing I’ve been noticing is lately my roots have not been matching the curl pattern of the rest of my hair, even right after my keratin treatment. They’re almost puffy and not curling. Have you ever experienced this?
No I haven’t really experienced this. It’s hard to pinpoint what may be causing it without chatting about your hair and routine. But if you’re experiencing frizz after a keratin you may need to switch up your shampoo. You could possibly have buildup at the roots. Use a gentle clarifying shampoo on wash day and see if that helps!
Hi. If U.S. Congress legislation snatches keratin treatments away (along with relaxers, hair dye etc.), what would you use instead? Is there a healthy alternative for kitchen beauticians?
Hi hi! Honestly, I don’t think chemical treatments are getting taken out of salons anytime soon. It’s a multibillion dollar industry at this point. If anything they are just going to regulate the formulas to switch to healthier ingredients (which they’re doing currently). If you are opposed to chemical treatments you might want to look into different deep conditioning treatments like Olaplex and K18. They won’t last as long but they do help the hair. Hope this helps 💕
@@faithwilliams7978 you are so right. I grew out a lot of relaxer damage done by a licensed cosmetologist from late last year. Healed my hair tremendously since then, it's healthier and longer. I've been holding onto a box of Phyto's Phytospecific Index 1 relaxer for a year and now the company has discontinued it as of November (to my knowledge, that's when the replied to my email inquiry). Affirm was my relaxer of choice back in the day, but I'm not a licensed cosmetologist like Hairlicious. She has a distributor who she orders salon products through and finally stopped using ORS. Thanks for your encouragement, sister. Happy holidays.
@@faithwilliams7978 A keratin treatment will not loosen the curl pattern. My clients who get a keratin treatment wear their curls majority of the time. A keratin treatment leaves your curls stronger and more manageable. That’s why people get it. Not because they want straight hair. Heat training can lead to dry hair, heat damage or breakage if not done properly.
This is different because it’s sealed onto the hair for long lasting effects. Keratin in other products are in low concentrations and will be washed out so you have to keep buying them.
What if the keratin treatment when it's wet and combed out wet is straight and just wavy curly in the shower under the water but gets curly when dry should I do another treatment it's been around 5 months. But it looks almost the same when straightened only less thick. Because I'm trying to go in for another treatment before I add bleach to it. I don't perm my hair with lye or an ammonia base perm either for more than 20 years
From what I’ve read up on it, Botox is just a glorified deep conditioner. You have to keep using it to see the effects. But I’ve never used it myself! If it works for you, use it!
I change the temperature depending on the client and their texture. It’s not so much about the heat but the technique, which is why I recommend people get certified to use the product.
this video convinced me to get a keratin treatment instead of a relaxer. but i do have one question tho, i usually use ayuverdic herbs in the form of glosses, masks and teas, can i still do them when i do the keratin treatments?
Yes, you can still use your herbal products. As long as you don’t use anything harsh like raw shampoos (black soap etc.) that will wash the keratin out faster.
Oh no I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve had clients come to me and other stylists have snuck relaxers in their hair. It really is heart breaking. Please we all have to do our research on the hairstylists we choose. We can’t just have anybody in our hair. It’s sad but true.
Why is no one calling this a perm? Why is it called a tratment? Not giving criticism, I'm just trying to understand. I dont want to change my texture, I just want healthy hair. So is it a perm?
It’s definitely not a perm. It doesn’t straighten your hair. As soon as she wet her hair it’s going to revert back to her curly texture. The heat is used to seal on the treatment. I have a whole keratin playlist so you can see the treatment on different curly types: ruclips.net/p/PLN0-TtlXigKYys46M3iMYTwyjnUrBaWKf&si=Ol-4VFNgUeyXrimA
You lost me when you said “the difference between keratin and a relaxer”. Lol didn’t do a big chop because my hair broke off on its own. What about in another 3 years? What will her hair look like?
With proper care on her part and mine as the stylist, her hair should continue to thrive. Because the treatment is not breaking down her hair (like a relaxer), but giving it nourishment and strength, which is why it’s grown so much in only a year.
Yes you can definitely color your hair while doing keratin. I recommend coloring your hair first then doing the keratin to give your hair nourishment after the coloring process.
Yes, I have a video explaining the best practices when using a keratin treatment on color treated hair: ruclips.net/video/nynBo-xCRxw/видео.htmlsi=xU_klDgahYAd6kdY

Absolutely!! The only thing I would makes sure of is to have a keratin safe shampoo and conditioner so it doesn’t wash out the treatment fast. Every other product you can use as normal
Depends on who is doing it. But it can actually make your curls healthier and stronger! My clients are able to grow their hair with the treatments. I have a whole playlist showing the treatment on my clients with different curl patterns: ruclips.net/p/PLN0-TtlXigKYys46M3iMYTwyjnUrBaWKf&si=QplEMuskCPGWN27R
Wow her hair is gorgeous!! I’ve been thinking about doing a treatment. Would my hair still be virgin hair after the keratin treatment?, like I don’t really know if it would be loll
It’s a chemical treatment so it wouldn’t be considered virgin but you will still maintain your natural curl pattern, just with less frizz and better manageability ❤️
I feel like ppl who downplay a keratin treatment don’t understand that you still need to treat and maintain your hair in the other categories don’t just do keratin treatments
Thank you for this. I've been on the fence about getting a keratin treatment, but this formaldehyde free product seems great. I just did henna the first time last week. Any suggestion for how long I should wait before doing a keratin treatment afterward?
Absolutely, I'm glad you found it helpful! Henna coats the hair strand to dye it, I would wait about 3 months before getting a Keratin treatment so that the henna can wash out a bit. This way it won't interfere with the keratin.

No thanks! I’ve heard a lot of horror stories about Keratin treatments damaging and breaking people’s hair off.

You can go on the Cezanne smoothing keratin treatment website to purchase!
I think most peoples question is does it change/loosen/lose your curl. The short answer is; yes. It does alter your curl pattern.
When properly done it doesn’t change your curl pattern.
Wow! Beautiful, silky and shiny!
Thank you so much ☺️💕
I just had my first one and my hair is almost completely straight.
7:26 which means the product is a chemical and I’m thinking it will loosen the curl pattern
Of course it is a chemical treatment. If done incorrectly your curls may change. Which is why I keep preaching to go to a professional to get the treatment done.
@ ok so we agree that it’s a chemical. Do u agree that the chemical can possibly loosen the curl pattern
Thanks for sharing,i had a trafiyional Brazilian keratin treatment .
during the process my eyes was burning, and it smelt very strong the chemical was set on my hair under a dryer for hours

Have you done this on anyone with 4b/4c hair? I'm curious to know what this would do for my hair but I'd be heart broken if my curl pattern were to change.
Hi love, yes I’ve definitely done it on 4B/C hair, I have some videos on my keratin treatment playlist! 💗
I’m 3c, and my mom says it made my curls looser. I would agree, but slightly. It really just made my waves pop, and when I dry I do retain more length when curly
WOW - Amazing results🤩🤩🤩

Beautiful and silky!
Thank you! 😊💖
If I can find a stylist who does this particular treatment near me, I’m getting mine done. May cut it to a twa to start over.
You can go on the website and find the salon directory, that’s a good place to start
WOWZA! her hair looks so good curly or straight
Right!!! It’s the versatility for me! 😍❤️
The treatment does change and loosen the curl pattern. Her was much tighter and nit curly.
Keratin is a smoothing treatment eliminating frizz so curls appear more defined and clumped
Why does the curl pattern stay changed if the keratin treatment washes out?
A keratin doesn’t change your curl pattern. It reduces frizz for smoother defined curls.
You can see before we applied her current keratin treatment her hair was bigger and frizzier. After we applied the treatment her hair had no frizz and looked more defined.
If her curl pattern looks looser, it’s because longer hair is heavier which weighs down and stretches her curls. Once we cut her hair, her curls sprung back up and looked tighter.
@timelesslymirna ooooh ok! Thanks for the reply! It's it bad for low porosity hair?
@@15MonsterCookie No, it’s not bad for low porosity hair
Not because of the heat? Hard to believe
@@kim-dz2kg Why is that hard to believe? Keratin treatments are designed for eliminating frizz.
Before I even applied heat her curls were smoother and well defined.
Looks so good!!!
Thank you so much! ☺️
Thank you for explaining that! Quick question, why not condition the hair & rinse before you put the treatment on?
Each keratin treatment is different. This is the process for the one I use.
I would research a salon that offers it and book a consultation, they’ll let you know if a keratin treatment is right for you beforehand.
@@timelesslymirna thank you!
I thought keratin was a straightening treatment? this is pretty cool! and how does that make keratin different from a protein treatment like aphogee?
Aphogee is an intense product that if used regularly can make your hair become hard and brittle.
Keratin lasts 3 months and it doesn’t dry out your hair.
@@timelesslymirna ohhh thank you!
I have protein sensitive hair. Its also sensitive to too much moisture. Yet it is frizzy as heck. Im just sensitive 😢
Aww sorry to hear you’re struggling. I would go see a hairstylist and get a professional opinion. They can help recommend products and a routine to help you at home.
I don’t straighten my hair because I sweat in my scalp and it starts reverting. Does this help at all? Please please answer 🤣🤣🤣
The treatment will help fight against humidity but if your hair gets wet it will revert back to curly. You’ll notice it won’t revert as quickly as before though
Ok so if you have a relaxer but want to change to this…what’s the process please? Should one cut off all the relax hair first? 😢
You can do this keratin treatment on relaxed hair. It’ll help keep your hair strong as you transition.
theres no cezanne available in the uk,what would be a second recommendation from you
I haven’t used it myself but the Avlon Treatment is similar. You’ll have to do some research but I know it’s available in the UK. Hope this helps 💕
amazing video. this spans a year so that means it’s okay to do the keratin treatment every 3 months. Do you think that a person could do it even every 2 months if the current one you have is wearing off already?
Thank you so much! I don't recommend getting keratin every two months before it's fully washed out. I recently shared a video explaining how often to get a keratin treatment based on your hair type and lifestyle.

Genuinely, why did the texture get looser? I thought she had 4b/c (mostly b) in the beginning but it looked way looser after the treatment?
Her natural curl pattern is 3b/c
I have 4c hair would definitely do this if i was near you but i am in Uganda
Aww I wish I could. Hopefully you can find someone near you. Sending love 💕
Can you do this if you are a wash n go girlie?
Yes! My client wears her hair curly 90% of the time
also, how long does it take to recover from one flatiron session? this is a question just specifically regarding the flatiron not the keratin.
As soon as your hair gets wet your curls should revert back, if not there is some keratin damage
So what’s the difference between this and an amino acid hair release?
Keratin treatments smooths the hair more than aminos (if shrinkage is an issue) and keratin lasts longer than an amino release. It depends on what you’re looking for
I think I need you to do mine my curls are gone how do I get them back 😂
Oh no! Sorry to hear you lost your curls. Unfortunately you can’t revert your curls back once they’ve gone straight. You will have to grow your hair out.
Can someone please tell me if a Brazilian blowout and keratin treatment are the same?
Yes a Brazilian blowout is a type of keratin treatment
This is beautiful! Im getting my first keratin treatment tomorrow! I tried a treatment a year ago with a keratin produuct from amazon but it didn't work
Yay! I hope you enjoy it 💕
How did it go?
How was it? Are you satisfied with the results?
I’m loving my keratin treated hair! What products do you recommend d between services?
Put it on closer to the scalp.
Hi.
Just heat train your hair. It's probably the safest choice for your overall health, anyway, if you want straight(er) hair.
@@timelesslymirna The woman in the clip's curls looked looser.
How is this keratin treatment different from the keratin in hair products like shampoos, conditioners, serums and sprays?
This is different because it’s sealed onto the hair for long lasting effects. Keratin in other products are in low concentrations and will be washed out so you have to keep buying them.
How do I take care of Keratin hair 😭?
I got you love, I made a whole video! Let me know if you have any questions:

Brilliant video ❤
Thank you so much ☺️❤️
Do you e rinse her hair after putting keratin on or do you leave the product on her hair to directly blow driers?
Each keratin treatment is different. For this treatment I rinsed. But always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
I don't perm my hair with lye or an ammonia base perm either for more than 20 years
It depends on the keratin treatment you used. I would consult with your hairstylist to determine if you should apply another treatment.
What are your thoughts on botox for 4c hair
From what I’ve read up on it, Botox is just a glorified deep conditioner. You have to keep using it to see the effects. But I’ve never used it myself! If it works for you, use it!
Unfortunately i cannot afford your services. Is this something i can do on my own?
I don’t recommend doing it on your own. There’s a higher risk of damaging your curls. I had to get certified to use the product properly.
Isn't three passes the definition of multiple times?
Yes, but as keratin treatments usually call for 5 or more passes. I think 3 is generous. No more heat than a regular silk press.
Hi, Are u using titanium plates or ceramic plates flat iron to seal the keratin? I’m only asking because I was told that the titanium is better..
I use both titanium and ceramic on my clients. Honestly I don’t notice much of a difference. So I go with my intuition based on my client’s hair.
What is the temperature you use for this person the iron? I’m wondering if the less heat also means less keratin and less straightening…
How hot do you set the flat iron too? I know that people say too hot can damage curls so I was just curious about that.
I change the temperature based on the texture of my clients hair. 440 max
Someone put this on my hair without my consent and my hair has yet to curl back up. I’m devastated.
Oh no I’m so sorry that happened to you. I’ve had clients come to me and other stylists have snuck relaxers in their hair. It really is heart breaking.
Please we all have to do our research on the hairstylists we choose. We can’t just have anybody in our hair. It’s sad but true.
Thanks. My stylist is pretty good. I hope she says I’m a candidate 😊
Good luck! 🍀 and if you get it, let me know how you like it.
I will! Thanks
I have a whole keratin playlist so you can see the treatment on different curly types:

You can do this keratin treatment on relaxed hair. It’ll help keep your hair strong as you transition.
What if you aren’t transitioning?
I dye my hair black twice a year, can I do this with a keratin treatment or is that a no no?
Yes you can definitely color your hair. Keratin pairs well with color. It'll help keep your hair strong.
Would you recommend this for low porosity hair? I’ve found my hair to be protein sensitive 😬
Yes, the treatment is good for low porosity as it encourages your hair to take in and lock in moisture.
Amazing job to you both? I'm considering doing this treatment. How often did this client do this treatment?
