So f'ing true. He gaslit me into thinking i'm a disgusting person for doubting the proccess and him. My hair has no character, i feel terrible and want to go full bald right now.
I was told by the stylist and also did a fair share of research that for curly hair it can help to soften the texture. I've loved my curls all my life and now I have straight hair that even a curling iron doesn't work. I'm so depressed about my hair!!! Only option is to have the damaged hair cut off, or have regular trims as it grows out. Deep conditioning treatments soften hair, but cannot repair broken, burned, over processed hair.
I’ve had keratin treatment for years but would like to grow my curls back. My natural hair is very curly (spirals). Keratin makes it super smooth and glossy. It looks and feels healthy. Keratin treatment effects do build up over time. You are correct, your curls may never fully come back or it could take a year or more to begin to see them again. I think you are on the right track having your hairdresser assess your hair before considering a perm
Thanks for this information. I bought brazilian blowout on ebay and did it on myself. It has lasted 9 months so far, no deterioration. My hair is pin straight now, but it was already mostly straight. I am very happy with it as it took out all the frizz and I never have to blow dry anymore. It has lasted longer than when I got it done in the salon where I paid 10 times the price. I figure at this rate I will only have to redo it every year to a year and a half as it grows out.
i had no idea what keratin was !! I bought the “it’s a 10 miracle leave in” I thought it was just a leave in conditioner. I left it in my hair for two days ! and when I washed my hair I noticed my hair was drying super limp my beautiful curls are gone. I recently did a big chop and my curls were finally back. I wanna cry.
I wonder what happened as it’s a 10 leave in is just a leave in & not a keratin treatment . Keratin treatment is a hair smoothing process. For the treatment it’s applied, blow dried, then flat ironed & some you have to wait so many days before you can even get your hair wet
I had my hair break ridiculously after a Keratine treatment. I have very fine hair, straight down to my hips. I am in a deep depression. I have different lengths of hair up to my scalp. Never in my life have I had split ends, I'm full of them up to my scalp. Is there something, that can be done, to make it look better, while I grow it out?
It’s been 10 months since my keratin treatment I still haven’t recovered my curls but I’ve been able to go from straight to a little wavy and I have about 6 inches of new curly roots It’s honestly a nightmare I’m thinking I am the second or third scenario I’m 31 … how long does hair continue to grow?
I'm sorry that happened to you. Hair does grow an average of about 6 inches (15 cm) a year. It sometimes slows down a little as we age but never stops growing
I have very fine hair. My curls were really tight 3C curls. The stylist used a keratin treatment called Black Diva. Yes it smelled like sulphur. It was burning my scalp immensely worse than my childhood relaxer and so she removed it out after just 10 mins. Originally she planbed for 45 mins. My hair was limp and insanely stick straight. I washed over and over with salt water and now 4 months later my hair is like a 2A curl on wash day and straight with some wavy pieces on days 2 and 3. I so regret this was told it was only going to remove frizz not straighten.
My stylist suggested a Brazilian because when my hair grows it poufs out. She thought it would help with the frizz. She cut my hair and texturized it and then did the Brazilian. Now my hair is SO FLAT!
Hair grows, so now my beginning roots are now curly. It’s impossible to style it, and my hair looks uneven. I’m trying to undo or reverse the treatment, it’s been 5 months and it still is on my hair.
If your treatment made your hair totally straight, and you have not seen any texture return within the last 5 months, there is a good possibility that it is permanent. Either the hair was over heated during the process or you received a relaxer labeled as keratin treatment. I'm sorry this happened to you
I'm not dissatisfied but the thing is that you're hair grows and my real hair is curly wich makes me have straight hair at the bottom and the top part of my hair is curly 😭 -
I had wavy, frizzy and got one treatment to reduce frizzy hair and it wasn’t effective so I did one to straighten the hair. It worked but I lost all my volume and now my hair is flat. That was back in 2018. She said it would wear, but it never did. I wish just learned to love my hair, I only realized after it was gone. I wonder if shaving it would bring it back :(
It is not uncommon for hair to change curl pattern throughout your lifetime. Keratin treatments (and even relaxers) can't affect the hair that hasn't grown yet. They only change the texture of the hair that they are applied to. You hair should have grown nearly a meter since 2018. Chances are that this is just your hair now, unrelated to the treatment. Your curls could be very fragile now and a haircut by someone who specializes in curly hair may be able to help cut it in a way that will allow the curls to form. It could also be that your curls are gone for now and may come back at a later time. Shaving definitely won't help at this point 😪
My hair feels fine but i hate the look of it. I want my volume back my natural wave back what should i do 🥹 i bleached it coloured it tried deep conditioning everything nothing works
Hello dear , Can you please help me , I went into a salon for a hair cut after cutting the dresser used a comb which she did keratin treatment before, she told me she must do my hair straight to see if she did right , now my hair in the right side is curly small curls and in the left side changed to big curls almost straight can I undo it?
So i am 5 minutes into the video and before i continue i want to say that i had my keratin treatment done approximately 2 and a half years back, around the start of 2021 and yes my natural hair (quite wavy) is coming back but the texture has completely gone and i have no idea how to get back the wavy hair i had before ... i just honestly hope this is not one of the impossible to reverse conditions because oh i really miss my old hair, right now half my hair is just pin straight and half my hair is curly :(
Thanks for watching. It definitely sounds like you either had your hair damaged by the heat applied or you actually received a relaxer. I'm sorry that happened to you. It does sound like you are well on the road to getting your natural texture grown out
Love this explanation. My question is, Could using more moisturising shampoo, so adding extra lipids to the hair help with that brittle feeling. Therefore adding more balance to the hair.
I was conned by the salon, I received a marketing trick keratin smoothing that smelled of rotten eggs and sulfur. How do I restore my hair? Will the new hair that will grow in the future be like the character of my original curls?
Good news/ bad news. The new growth will be your natural texture. The smell leads me to believe that this was actually a thioglycolate relaxer and there may not be a way to restore your curls without further chemical treatments
My hair were kinda straight but I did kerasmoothning but now I’m regretting it I don’t like it this straight . How can I go back to my normal texture ?
Bro use Shampoos with sulphate in it but due to Keratin you gonna have a lot of hair loss but using sulfate and Salt shampoos will bring back wavy hair
My hair was very curly now it’s wavy but only when it’s wet. Can I use a mayonnaise treatment to help get rid of this keratin in my hair that the stylist put in without my permission
Cosmo Dad Have you ever heard of a person with naturally curly hair get a keratin treatment and then after it wears off the person's hair grows back kinky when they naturally had silky curly hair? Even when the hair has been cut the new growth is totally different from before the keratin treatment was applied. The client is a minor by the way 6-7 years old. Hair is now extremely dry also Thanks
I had naturally curly hair, more specifically 3a curls. I decided to get a ‘Botox treatment’ as they called it at the salon in January of this year. I was later told that it’s a variation of keratin. My hair is poker straight and also very brittle. I’m not sure if what I got is really keratin or something else but I’ve heard that Olaplex no. 3 helps to reverse the effects of keratin. Is that true? Do you have any suggestions on how I can get my curls back without having to regrow my hair? Thank you in advance!
Thank you! Since they work differently you could use both to treat damaged hair. Olaplex excels at preventing damage and stopping damaging processes that happen after damaging events. Keratin treatments are great thermal protectors and do help repair damage during the duration of the treatment. Thank you so much for watching and for the question!
@@CosmoDad I don't have damage whatsoever but I also have zero experience with using heat. I recently started heat styling my hair and my protocol to prevent any damage is to do regular keratin treatments and use olaplex oil as heat protectant, and only heat style twice a week. Does that sound safe? Also, video idea: 1- Heat styling routine with minimal damage 2- Olaplex Vs Keratin treatments and which one should you choose 3- Bleach Vs heat styling: which does more damage Your channel may be small but it's a hidden gem and will blow up one day :)
Dear Holland, i have 2C/3A hair and I received a keratin treatment 9 months ago, it made my hair super straight and very very thin, and it still did not fade. I tried spraying my hair with salt water, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. I hate how damaged my hair looks right now, is there any way in which I could get my curls back? :(
I'm so sorry this happened to you. I have no way of knowing for certain but my educated guess is that you fall into scenario number 3. You may have received a permanent straightener disguised as a keratin treatment. Either that or the heat was excessive enough to "damage" your hair into straightness. For the most part, I wouldn't even blame the stylist. They were probably following the instructions because most manufacturers make them pretty general. Unfortunately, if not even a little bit of your curl has come back after 9 months, I wouldn't expect it to come back. There is one exception. If you only shampoo once a week or less, if it was a genuine keratin treatment, you may see some curl come back in the next 3-6 months. If you are experiencing a lot of breakage at the demarcation line of your new growth, it was a straightener. If it feels super damaged I wouldn't recommend any other chemical services to try to restore your curl. Again, I'm sorry this happened to you
@@CosmoDad is it possible if it says keratin treatment witj fda permission but actually it was a perm? 1,5 months past I didn’t see it revert just maybe a bit fade where he didn’t flat ironed I am so depressed don’t know if its gonna go🥲 had a cut and have a heavy hair fall
hi I used keratin treatment six months ago and I decided to try and get back my curls , but only the roots(obvi) and the ends that are curly and the lengths are straight , will the lengths get curly over time or should I cut everything?
Deep conditioners, not protein but moisture. Silicone based heat protectors and blowdry when you can. Leaving hair wet can make it dry out, weird, I know.
I went to a salon and I believe they put some sort of straightener in my hair bcuz some strands is straight but all my hair was curly. Can I use mayonnaise treatment for this to come out I’m so hurt about it because my hair has Ben natural over 6 years
Yes it should. In the unlikely case that it doesn't, there is another factor. Keratin treatments are not capable of changing hair that hasn't grown yet.
i'm from asian country so we basically dont have any knowledge to curly hair care routine, i have a thick hair so it was messy as a kid and got bullied for it so i've been chemically straightening it for 10+ years and now i realized i want my natural curl back i wanna know what i could do to get it back and will i get my natural curls back or the new hairs might have loose curls because my new part of the hair only has loose curls
It's very likely that, if your hair lost a significant amount of curl, and none has reverted in that time period, that you received something more permanent that was just labeled as a keratin treatment. It could also be a case where too much heat was used during the application. I'm sorry this happened to you. It is likely that you will need to grow it out and that the affected hair will never be the same ☹️
I am loosing a lot of hair and seeing a lot of breakage after the treatment. What can be done about that? Is there a mask you recommend? I feel like I’m going to be bald by next month.
The keratin treatment is the mask. A mask on top of the mask? I'm not being rude. I've seen where people use 5 or more products one their hair and think the more the better. They're weighing down their hair and not shampooing off the product leaving layers of buildup. That's not better than having a keratin application + a styling product. I wonder what Cosmo thinks in this case? Do you clarify? Won't the clarifying shampoo strip off the keratin layer? Is there a way to just strip off the buildup if a person has applied lots of masks on top of the keratin?
I have curly/coily hair, so do you get to keep your curls when do keratin? Doesn't it make it straight? I want to do it but i want to keep my curls i just want smooth loose curls, is that possible? Someone please respond
Some reduce curl, some help refine curls. Personalized Blow Out by Keratin Complex is an example of a treatment that lets you keep your curl with all the benefits of a Keratin treatment. There are others as well but you just have to make sure that your stylist understands what you are looking for and has the right products. Good luck!
I had a natural 4b/c hair pattern. I bought the ion keratin shampoo & conditioner as well as the hair smoothing masque in hopes to just help my wash and sets last a little longer (more than 2 days) without getting “puffy”. I first applied the Sham/cond and masque I’d say, mid January. Everything was GREAT! I went a whole month and my hair was silky smooth! I’m not big on washing my hair a lot but once it was time (1 month later) my curls came back it seemed to really work without damaging my hair so I reapplied the keratin shampoo and conditioner w/ smoothing masque. THAT WAS A BIG MISTAKE 😢. We are now in JULY and my hair is still bone straight while soaking wet and has that egg smell 😩🤯 I am sick! Im guessing doing another big chop is my only option
I have been looking into these products since you commented this. Thanks for watching and commenting. Your situation is definitely a strange one. The ION Keratin products aren't supposed to do what happened to your hair. The egg smell is really throwing me for a loop too. The best I can guess is that the DMDM Hydantoin in the masque is acting like a Keratin treatment and coating your hair and overwhelming your fragile curls. I'm so sorry this happened to you. Before you resort to the big chop, I would recommend a professional clarifying treatment. One that includes a sulfonated shampoo and a chelator like Malibu crystal gel or Olaplex Chelating treatment. This might help. I hope this helps
@@CosmoDad Thank you so much for the response. I was thinking maybe I might’ve ruined it during the flat-ironing process. Naturally my hair is super thick so I’ve always sectioned in small pieces. I purchased a new flatiron that went up too 450🫣🥴. Although, I haven’t reused the products since February, I do you still flatiron my hair. Could that be to blame?! I will look into finding a professional hair stylist in my area (RI) that is familiar with the products you’ve mentioned. Thanks again
You mentioned egg smell in the original comment, I assumed sulfur( like rotten eggs) the smell of some straighteners. But do you mean egg smell like cooking eggs? Because if it's the second one then it could definitely be the straightener 🫤
@@CosmoDad I didn’t notice the “egg” scent until it was time to routinely wash my hair, 1 month after reapplying the products for the second time. Once my hair was wet, I noticed my curls did not revert back and it gave off a relaxer “egg” scent. I instantly thought, omg this processed my hair. It was a strong chemical smell and I hadn’t applied anything at that point, just water. I ended up washing my hair with a regular shampoo & conditioner but it stayed bone straight 😒
@@Johnesha0824how is it now ? Still having the smell? Cause I do too( 1,5 months left and it seems like didnt fade at all😭I tried everything, having a hair fall and cut half of the lenght already
Without knowing what your hair looked like before, or how long ago you had the treatment, it is impossible to say. It is likely you got the 3rd scenario I talked about in the video, a relaxer disguised as a keratin treatment
You can try clarifying treatments like Olaplex Chelating or MalibuC Crystal gel. If it feels heavy and limp, it may have been over heated during the process and then there might not be anything you can do. I'm sorry you had this experience
Yes and no. It's complicated. If you are flat ironing several times a week you can start to see long term effects similar to a keratin treatment. Sometimes you won't. Sooo... Maybe
@@CosmoDadthank you so much for your response. I went to the salon for a wash and set and the hair stylist out a keratin leave in conditioner on my hair. Currently it’s been 5 months and there are big chunks for my hair that won’t curl especially my ends. I don’t know what to do other than to cut my hair
From my limited understanding, it is really a re-marketing of keratin treatment. Your hair should revert in time and anything effective in wearing out a keratin treatment should be effective on "Hair Botox"
Three years ago i had straight hair i used a syoss ahampoo to my hair to make them even straighter and my hair went curly how can i reverse the keratin treatment and my hair go straight as before
This is complicated. Sometimes changing products can optimize the texture you already have. So it is possible you made your hair healthier and revealed the curl that was already there. Also hair can often change texture throughout your life. It could be that you have curly hair now regardless of what shampoo you would have used

I had a Rusk Anticurl with Kerashine treatment in Aug 2021 which was just supposed to loosen curl and I am still growing out approximately 6 inches of damage. I have been growing out all the damage since a few months after the process it made my hair so stiff just like broomstraw, non pliable, hard to manipulate and not responding to shampoos and conditioners and leave in conditioners that used to work for my hair. The remaining 6 inches are still pretty straight especially when wet and the demarcation line is more noticeable when wet. I know it had keratin in it but had no idea it was a relaxer but the company told me on phone it was a keratin treatment with relaxer properties.. No idea that the entire brand was sold to a different company and was reformulated then not long after I had found out it was discontinued. I have another year to grow the 6 inches. I have been getting cuts every few months good amounts too. Any suggestions?
You are doing great. Yes the Anticurl is actually a relaxer. Your curl will not naturally revert. Regular trims and strengthening products are the way to go. You might want to try a bond builder like Olaplex or K18 but you are doing all the right things. Thanks for watching!
@CosmoDad Rusk Radical Anticurl #3 was so good for my hair and according to my hairdresser their other curly haired clients liked it. It was a great product. Back from 1995 to around 2015 I did it once a year for years starting in 1995. It was a texturizer it loosened the curl(like a Valium for the hair) but my hair still had curl, it helped with frizz even in hot humid weather, it was way before Kerashine was added to the name, however, it was just combed thru keeping hair flat for 20 mins then rinsed then neutralizer then rinsed that was it. No blow drying or flat iron needed for process. 2015 Rusk haircare line owners sold it to Conair and the product was changed and it was Rusk Anticurl Kerashine keratin was added but it did not straighten my hair it had curl. Around 2019 Conair sold it to BeautyQuest and it made my hair straight so it had to have something in it not just keratin to straighten it. Only no idea what. Also, with the Keratin added it had to be applied then blow dried straight then flat ironed straight then neutralizer then rinsed then having it blow dried straight then flat ironed straight. The hairdresser told me it would not work without heat meaning the process. But the one that I did for years no demarcation line my curl would just revert overtime to its natural curlier state all over my head.
How do you know if it's all gone? I want to dye my hair because it came out really patchy and I need to goto a wedding but I put keratin treatment on it
There's usually a 2 week waiting period after doing a keratin treatment, before applying color. It can vary though. Did you do it yourself or at a salon?
I just got Keratin treatment, it’s my second time doing it. I had the stylist do some low lights and then the treatment, now my hair is yellow where it was colored any tips on what to do? They offered a redo but I’m scared its too much keratin in my hair. Any recommendations?
Interesting, it usually will go yellow(if it does) on the lighter hair. There is a possibility that the lowlights color was misformulated. If the Keratin treatment feels like it did what it was supposed to, I wouldn't re-do it. You might need a re-do on the lowlights. Either way you should wait 2 weeks
I honestly didn't know home keratin treatment are a thing. A really quick Google search yielded, leave in conditioners with keratin and a product on Amazon that is labeled for professional use only. Any brand recommendations would be appreciated and I'll do my best to look into them!
@@CosmoDad Thanks for your reply! I just bought a Madison Reed keratin product called Tame that is a leave in treatment but it didn’t seem like it did much. I just don’t want to damage my hair more as it’s already been damaged by a bad salon bleach job so I wonder if it’s even worth it.
Not really. Some are 2 stages like Keratin Complex PBO, but the second part isn't a neutralizer. If the second part of a treatment is peroxide then it's actually a thio relaxer not a keratin treatment. I hope that answers your question
@@CosmoDadis a relaxer bad for hair? The master did it to remove my henna..I thought it was a keratin treatment, cause the hair become so straight 😢for how long it lasts ? Can I speed the undo process somehow ? Thanks 🙏
If it's relaxer, then it's permanent. Only your new growth since the service will be your natural texture. I'm sorry that happened to you. If it is actually keratin treatment then your hair should be mostly back to normal by six months or so
My stylist used opti matrix straightening cream for smoothening of my hair...is it permanent or temporary treatment? Will I get back the normal texture of my hair ??
I would only expect your new growth to be your natural texture. The treated hair is permanently changed. In some cases it might revert a little but I wouldn't expect it to
I'm sorry this happened to you. You can't reverse it but depending on the condition of your hair you may be able to use a permanent wave to rebuild some curls back into your hair. This will definitely cause more damage, so it should be done with caution.
I got the cezanne keratin treatment in July of 2022. I've gotten one before and it was only left on for about 30mins. My hair was still curly when wet, just less frizzy which is what I wanted. The second time, the treatment was left on longer.. it's now been almost a year and my curls (3C) are non existent. My hair is mostly straight wet and dry and I've tried just about everything
I'm so sorry that happened to you. It's an especially strange result considering there was no heat applied during the process. I've never seen a Keratin treatment, that when applied without heat, removes any curl at all. It is possible to apply too much heat, at any stage, and permanently affect the curl pattern. It could have been improper technique, it could have been a misunderstanding of what your hair can withstand or even misrepresentation of the product being used. In any case that is such shame. How's your new growth? Do you have your 3C texture back for like the first 6 inches of your hair?
Getting more volume in the immediate time frame may be tough but in just a couple weeks you could begin to see more volume in the new growth. Something that may help a little is blow drying in larger sections, so there is less tension at the roots (if you blowdry, of course)
My stylist scammed me into keratin treatment fr man I MISS MY CURLS😭😭😭

It does sound like you are well on the road to getting your natural texture grown out
i got a protein straightening treatment , can this work for it too? can i still get my curls back without cutting it off?
Love this explanation. My question is, Could using more moisturising shampoo, so adding extra lipids to the hair help with that brittle feeling. Therefore adding more balance to the hair.
Absolutely! Often the simplest solution is best and it's too easy to overlook it. Thank you!
are shampoos essential? what do u think of no shampoo ?
I had a keratin and now my hair feels dirty and very heavy ( when it dries it has so much electricity) anything I can do now to get rid of this?
My hair was very curly now it’s wavy but only when it’s wet. Can I use a mayonnaise treatment to help get rid of this keratin in my hair that the stylist put in without my permission
Cosmo Dad
Have you ever heard of a person with naturally curly hair get a keratin treatment and then after it wears off the person's hair grows back kinky when they naturally had silky curly hair?
Even when the hair has been cut the new growth is totally different from before the keratin treatment was applied. The client is a minor by the way 6-7 years old. Hair is now extremely dry also
Thanks
Thanks for watching. It was a long answer to type, so I made you a video response. ruclips.net/video/aUXho9KBMmA/видео.html
Great video, Holland!
Do Keratin treatments fix or prevent heat damage or should we go for olaplex in that case?
Also, video idea:
1- Heat styling routine with minimal damage
2- Olaplex Vs Keratin treatments and which one should you choose
3- Bleach Vs heat styling: which does more damage
Your channel may be small but it's a hidden gem and will blow up one day :)
Hey .. is your hair back to normal ?? Does cutting those remaining straight hair really make it look like normal ..
Put henna mask on rebonding hair, henna helps to remove rebonding from hair.
So it will really wash out the remaining keratin!!?
I had my keratin treatment 3 months back...hair is super frizzy and extremely Dry what to do next to get back to my healthy hair
Can I use mayonnaise treatment for this to come out I’m so hurt about it because my hair has Ben natural over 6 years
The peson that did my treatment had no idea what she was doing. I got my money back, but man, I do not want to shave my head.
Same here 😢How are you now ? Is it fade a little?
@@ireenee7773 nope. I had to cut all my hair off.
@@Tzippi really?? 😢Did you shave your hair ? Cause I cut half and thinking to have a short cut 😓

That is so awful. I'm sorry that happened to you
I did the gold label 6 weeks ago. My hair started to be wavy. Can I do it again after 6 weeks?
First, I would defer to manufacturer recommendations, but most keratin treatments are safe to reapply after 2 weeks
If I grow out my hair and cut the part that they did the keratin treatment will my hair go back to how it was?
Yes it should. In the unlikely case that it doesn't, there is another factor. Keratin treatments are not capable of changing hair that hasn't grown yet.
I done first time this keratin treatment at home and after this treatment my hair smells really bad ,And I don’t how I can get rid of it .
After several showers the smell will fade away
i'm from asian country so we basically dont have any knowledge to curly hair care routine, i have a thick hair so it was messy as a kid and got bullied for it so i've been chemically straightening it for 10+ years and now i realized i want my natural curl back i wanna know what i could do to get it back and will i get my natural curls back or the new hairs might have loose curls because my new part of the hair only has loose curls
My hair still has been keratin treatment for almost 11 months I don't know what to do
It's very likely that, if your hair lost a significant amount of curl, and none has reverted in that time period, that you received something more permanent that was just labeled as a keratin treatment.
Sir, Can u do a Keratin treatment on low porosity hair. Which doesn’t need protein.
Yes, it mostly deposits on the outside of the strand. With most systems there shouldn't be much of a risk of over depositing protein in the hair
It's look like pin straight hair. How can we change that texture. Can I wash hair daily with a shampoo. Plz reply
Without knowing what your hair looked like before, or how long ago you had the treatment, it is impossible to say. It is likely you got the 3rd scenario I talked about in the video, a relaxer disguised as a keratin treatment
And if it was overaplyed ( to much time was on hair) so the hair is very heavy now and heavy hair fall , I already cut half. What can I do now ?
You can try clarifying treatments like Olaplex Chelating or MalibuC Crystal gel. If it feels heavy and limp, it may have been over heated during the process and then there might not be anything you can do. I'm sorry you had this experience
@@CosmoDad he did without telling me keratin🤦🏻♀️And I had a henna before maybe thats why .. he said the t was 190 if its true idk
@@CosmoDad so it wont fade off by the time ?
@@CosmoDad can bleaching or color off help to remove keratin treatment/coat?
how to undo it?
Is keratin leave in conditioner similar to the treatment and have the similar straightening results on curly hair ?
Can I remove botox from my hair? I did it dwo days ago and I hate it
From my limited understanding, it is really a re-marketing of keratin treatment.

I want my hair back but it’s been 10 months I had wavy hair
How do you know if it's all gone? I want to dye my hair because it came out really patchy and I need to goto a wedding but I put keratin treatment on it
There's usually a 2 week waiting period after doing a keratin treatment, before applying color. It can vary though. Did you do it yourself or at a salon?
@@CosmoDad Myself, I just tried to wash my hair with clarifying shampoo so I'm praying colour will stick if I dye it tomorrow 😞
Check the product label. There are usually manufacturers instructions on when you can color after. If there are none, I would assume it's perfectly Ok
I’d love to know about at home keratin treatments and if they are worth it
I honestly didn't know home keratin treatment are a thing.
Do some keratin treatments require a neutralizer?
If it is actually keratin treatment then your hair should be mostly back to normal by six months or so
@@CosmoDad how can I speed the process to remove keratin? 😭
My stylist used opti matrix straightening cream for smoothening of my hair...is it permanent or temporary treatment? Will I get back the normal texture of my hair ??
That's permanent. It's a thioglycolate solution
Will I get back my normal hair after some months ??
I would only expect your new growth to be your natural texture. The treated hair is permanently changed. In some cases it might revert a little but I wouldn't expect it to
Can I reverse the treatment?
I also want to add, there was no heat applied until the styling. I've gotten a Brazilian blow out in the past and it's not the same process
What if I’m okay with the straight but hate how flat it is on top?
Getting more volume in the immediate time frame may be tough but in just a couple weeks you could begin to see more volume in the new growth.
Something that may help a little is blow drying in larger sections, so there is less tension at the roots (if you blowdry, of course)
