- The plaintiff rented commercial space to the defendant, a hairstylist. She claims the cops showed up because of marijuana use at the space, so the plaintiff filed for an eviction. The plaintiff says the defendant trashed the place, so she’s suing for rent and utilities. The defendant argues another tenant caused the problem, not her.

Ya back when it was more popular if was a lot shorter. I remember it use to be a few cases on TV. I guess the less popular it got the harder it was to find people to come on the show

In regard to dating the case, at the beginning, the plaintiff says the defendant didn’t pay rent in July and August of 2018.

@@dapperguy0798 that makes no sense she left the place dirty because the landlord was rude and grumpy? She won a lawsuit saying if she left the place in good condition she wouldn't have to pay two months back rent. So instead of cleaning she left stuff because her landlord was rude?

Things have changed. Not everyone uses acrylic. A lot of great gel nail artists. Also you can do acrylic dip. The monemer is what has the smell with the dip method you can avoid that smell as well

I have no sympathy for the defendant. She had all of that money that she didn't pay on rent to get all of that crap picked up.
Being "freedy" for wanting two months rent that she was owed? She agreed to forfeit that rent provided the place was left clean. The defendant has no one to blame but herself for being a trifling, ratchet, lazy ass.
Fresh air act. Not sure if this is just NyC, but although marijuana is legal to consume, doing so indoors in most commercial and residential multiple dwellings is illegal due to second hand smoke disturbing others peaceful enjoyment of their units.

This show is so stupid when the judge acts like the defendant actually is the one paying the judgement. Everyone knows the show puts like 5k to 10k aside per case and that is where the fines come from. Basically, it's a game show to see who can win the most from the pot.

Maybe it depends on where you live? My city only picks up stuff in bags. Anything else like old furniture, shelving, etc (like what was shown in the photos) requires a special arrangement to be made for pick up.
Cities usually don’t pick up commercial business trash.
I agree, there was tension there and I don’t think she realised they wouldn’t take it. I hope she succeeds in her new business. Her only weakness was not making sure that awful old woman couldn’t leap on her for anything. I think the judge could low key see it as well.
The defendant was right when she spoke about Spanish people. Milian knew it was the truth because she didn't even bother to call her on it. But I knew she would lose this case after hearing the case play out.
