Our landlords have passed and still rent from kids. You can Rent a so called dump and make it beautiful. You just have to have a good relationship with your landlords, never miss a day in rent. Adding Granite and replacing everything that is needed to make a home helps!
Oooo I do love 'The people's Court' and I'm in England 🏴. Wish they put it on here I could watch this all the time. I know laws are different here to the US but if I was this tenant and I walked into that property and seen it in that state I would have told the landlord 'Thank you but no thank you I will continue my rental search'. Only reason I can think of that she took it with the walls being mouldy would be that she was desperate for a place and so took it. Mind you here in England 🏴 you can have like 20 people trying to sign up to one property now, the housing situation is horrendous in certain parts of the country and London is a no no. You gotta take pictures going in and then pictures coming out as you have to give properties back how you got them.
I think it depends on how many and where they are. If it's a simple hole from mounting your TV or pictures that may be ok. If you have 20 holes from mounting of your TV because maybe you missed the bracket or you hung 20 pictures then that's not normal wear and tear. (now they have sticky things you can use to hang pictures or other items though) .
The one thing I will say is, the Planiff are honest people. With that said, I own rental property, and everything he's withholding is legit. I had a tenant move out and we kept all the security deposit, due to excessive holes in the wall, repainting a bedroom, replacing a damaged door, and trim. We had to resand and restain the living area because they had potted plants and left ring stain on the hardwood floor. I spent 5k to repair the damage they did to the home. I've been renting properties for 15 years and that was the first time I withheld security. I understand holes in the wall that just living in damage and I'm okay with that. But it was like someone took a machine gun and shot up my house, that was the amount of holes I had to patch, which meant I had to paint the whole wall. Lived in damage is one thing, destruction of property is another.
If I pay all that $$$ for a tattoo and make sure to wear something showing it, I'm gonna be upset if someone doesn't ask about it.You don't put art on display and not expect to have it discussed.

Never move in where there's MOLD
Is this really how people dress for court now. That's wild 😂😂
Don't be racist to fashion
Disrespectful
Who cares???
I know that Judges aren’t suppose to have pre determined opinions. But that lady was dressed to go out to a bar. Not for court. And her boyfriend looked like he just rolled out of bed, dressed in what he slept in. Not even bothering to comb his hair or dress appropriately for court. I had a feeling she wasn’t going to win as soon as they walked into the courtroom.
@@Idontwant1 What Law is that ?
At least the plaintiff is being honest, naive or not. The landlord took advantage of that. And, I SO agree, plaintiff is adorable ❤ LOVE HER! Keep doing what you do. But, please be smarter about these situations. People like the landlord will always take advantage of you. Sad but true
Yeah I really think he did a whole bunch of verbal promising as he had her sign stuff and now he's all focused on the paperwork
That’s CREEPY of that spokesman at the end to touch her hair and note the writing on her chest ..as he wanted to say. Technically it’s not in the chest. PERV AND INAPPROPRIATE !!!!!!!!
Did that landlord just say ‘you can’t always tell by the color of their skin’! Had he said that in the courtroom Judge Milian would have chewed him a new one. The things is he didn’t even realize what he said. Doug didn’t even question him on that slip of the tongue! Hope it alerted authorities in his state!
Why would the authorities need to be alerted? Alerted to what?
@@ameow13
Alerted to the fact that he probably doesn’t rent to black people and that’s discrimination genius! I don’t even think he realized his slip of the tongue but if housing authority in his state and town see that then he could be fined if they conclude that he did in fact discriminate when renting out his property!
He definitely knows how to be a thoroughly efficient landlord!
True colors shining through, even if the defendant didn't mean to say it. After all, what else could he have meant? 😵
He could've meant that you can't judge a book by its cover.
He mean what he says you are like him . Defending this low key racist. He say by the colors of their SKIN not true colors . Nice try
She's should automatically win due to her adorableness. 🥰
Thank you 😊😊
@@christieoliver1720omg is this really you? Lol if so. You are beyond adorable. Nice to see some plaintiffs with character and personality
Lol yesss it is 😊
@@christieoliver1720 why are you 45 years old dressing like a 16 year old? In court of all places.
She should be put in an asylum. She is clearly deranged.
Has Doug Llewelyn ever asked a reasonable question that brought an interesting answer?
I'm so glad we have the opportunity to voice our opinions & comments, U live & u learn 🌺
I came here to see if anyone else peeped that slick racist remark at the end, but apparently, everyone caught it. I wished Doug had asked him what he meant.
" You can't always tell if the fruit is ripe by the color of it's skin "
Is that what he meant to say?? 🤷♂️
I think he meant to say the old adage: "You can't judge a book by it's cover".
English is not his first language,
No he said what he meant.
@@feliciagallo9832 , Something like that
I never used nail holes, I used thumb tacks!!! They create holes in the walls
Yeah, that's how you take care of mold. Just paint on top of it.
I do believe that mold was in the bathroom and the defendant said he'd fix it then didn't. Landlords almost always use damage deposits to improve their properties.
Plaintiff reminds me of Lizzie McGuire. Lol I love it! ❤🤗
This type of thing happens frequently, the older guy is just more blatant. I'd rather someone be upfront about their prejudices..... doesn't make it acceptable, but at least it's not hidden. I also don't think he misspoke, he KNEW exactly what he was saying.
I believe ole peeping Tony was in those folks window. The way he laughed it off at the end. Nobody would laugh at being a pervert like that.
Am I the only one that seen how Doug touched and move the girl's hair and her boyfriend's face completely changed like sheeeshhh!!!
2 Plaintiffs couldn't handle 1 landlord. Geez. You signed everything without reading and understanding what you signed. Of course you will be on the losing end.
And the color of their skin🤦🏾♀️ that was uncalled for, smh
If anything... Doug is "being too nosey" with the plaintiff's tattoo thing lol 😅😂
Did he say “you can’t always tell by the color of their skin?!”
Wowwwwwwwwww.
As soon as they walked in we knew what the problem is.
That girl was very sweet . I hope the universe gives them a better deal meet. " for every dark night there is a brighter day " . The landlord seem like a racist creep anyway
She was dumb. Look how she painted!
Doug is straight up awkward 😂
Idk if she’s all the way there… even at 18 with my first place I opened and examined everything for my move in inspection and took in depth video. Don’t just sign and then expect money back for damage!
Young lady is so cute 🥰
Positive Energy
Doug and that tattoo 😂
Why was Doug touching and moving the plaintiffs hair? 😭 keep ya hands to yourself old man lmao
That was my exact thought, that was a little to weird 🥴
Cos he likes her
He moved her hair to show her worded tattoo that he just asked her about. It might have been done for the camera to show those at home her tattoo. Remember this is a TV show and he might have been told to do that.
Nothing new . He Always touches the ppl , man or women .
She's sweet. ❤
did that man say sometimes you can’t tell by the color of their skin??? wtaf?!?
Harsh lesson on C.Y.A (Cover Your A**). Always read something you're signing and get all amendments in some form of writing! They did an amazing job cleaning up for the move out. I really liked the plaintiffs personalities, they both seemed sweet.
Doug is getting too touchy lately.
So many people falling asleep during this case 11:27 - then again when the camera goes to the defendant.
Doug should stop touching all these women and girls coming out of the court. It irritates me too.
Seemed like a nice couple. Lessons learned. Hope they got a good check for appearing.
I know someone our rents out an apartment. There was a damaged wall from when he bought the place. That he uses to keep everyone's security deposit. He told me, that he has never given back a security deposit, ever. Dirty!!
Ooof. They’re gonna be on every landlords blacklist after this court appearance
The boys in the back trying to keep it together after they saw the Plaintiff. 🤣
Exactly what does the colour of their skin have to do with anything!?! He sure showed HUS true colours!!!
I will never understand why people sign things they haven’t read and don’t understand, but they sign an$ agree to whatever is there. It’s beyond lazy and vapid. People…read what you sign!
Wtf is the defendant talking about you can't tell by the color of their skin?? Also I adore Doug! He is so real and kind and loves to ask about people's tattoos!
As a single professional women in the 90s I HAD TO RENT a DUMP to keep my animals after a breakup. MET My hubby who is a contractor, we have done everything for over 30 years. Our landlords have passed and still rent from kids. You can Rent a so called dump and make it beautiful. You just have to have a good relationship with your landlords, never
miss a day in rent. Adding Granite and replacing everything that is needed to make a home helps!
If damaged goods was a couple...
The plaintiff had zero defense and couldn't answer anything straight smh
"sometimes you can't tell by the color of their skin", not sure how i should take that comment
Why was Doug just touching her hair? Inappropriate!
"Well, I never used nail holes"
Seems like a pretty fair judgement. They were nice people but they did opposite of what they signed so 🤷♀️
Love the plaintiff, she is sunshine 🌞❤️
Yes a little too bright and sunny upstairs.
@@jennross6466 🤣🤣🤣🌞
Most of these comments that are being mean about the plaintiff's appearance are males . Go figure
Hello from America!
The color of their skin? WOW!
Right I was like what did he saayy??!!!
First time the judge says nail holes are not a big deal, other episodes it's terrible to leave the holes in the wall for landlords to fix.
She’s so stinkin’ cute. It’s not just everyone can pull that look off. I think they are just young and naive. They seem like a sweet couple.
Why is Doug always being so creepy? That's the second woman I've seen him. Ask about a tattoo on her chest specifically.
If I pay all that $$$ for a tattoo and make sure to wear something showing it, I'm gonna be upset if someone doesn't ask about it.You don't put art on display and not expect to have it discussed.
The plaintiff's chest tattoo is like a beautiful necklace.
"You can't alwas tell by the color of their skin," What the hell? Total sleezeball.
What a creeper moving her Hair and loking at her tattoo !!! That's creepy dude
She painted over black mold??? Most people think you can clean it with bleach, but that does NOT mitigate BLACK MOLD! I feel bad for whomever rents that place now...
Plaintiff is channeling present time Britney Spears
